So sorry to read about all the poorlies and relatives
Happy Birthday Bubbs Hope you have a fabulous day ππ₯πΈπ·β€οΈ
Well I have my appointment for my bone scan, itβs for the day after my next Oncology appointment, instead of a week before π
Itβs one of those that takes up most of the day in the Nuclear Medicine Department. I have to have an injection of some radioactive material, then wait at least 2 hours twiddling my cockle shells, before having the scan which takes about 45 minutes.
Havenβt got appointment for CT scan yet, thatβs another surprise to look forward to π
My good diet regime continues, as well as no dairy, biscuits have been replaced by lettuce π€£

OMG that Biscuit pot is a blast from the past.....
and on the subject of Eternal Beau I once had 20 pallets of the plain version delivered instead of 20 boxes should have kept it but I'm too honest
Thanks Obama and cm66 for your kind comments regarding mum,I have been yo see her this morning for a couple of hours at home and took her out in the wheelchair for a bit of fresh air. To be fair she doesn't seem too bad today and has eaten some breakfast, will keep a close eye over the next few days and her carer is coming in for an hour a day to help her wash and dress. Her potassium levels are very low but this is being treated aswell.
Hope savysue's mum continues to improve and snaps mum along with anyone else who is under the weather, ill or suffering at present.
Boiler serviced, now to put back the toileteries hoard.
Both our Virgin SIM phones today, can't make or receive calls
Eventually found a landline number to actually speak to someone as their website is a dead end maze, it seems we're casualties of their change to Vodafone service & new SIMs being sent
Ah JTS....another reminder of the early 90's with your Henry Watson pottery....
I guess there was either a set of this or the eternal beau crockery on most wedding lists of the time....
I didnt opt for eternal beau .......
We have an Eternal Beau slow cooker and tea tray. Both wedding presents but not requested π. We also have a Henry Watson kitchen clock which I think DH found at a car boot sale. All three are still used regularly π

many years ago a visiting electrician knocked my clock off the wall....I'm still holding out for the teapot....for some reason we were gifted the garlic pot instead.(i assume they thought a pot was a pot)
Life is a strange thing, just when you think you've learned how to use it, it's gone
Feeling rather inadequate - we both like Richmond sausages π
I do also. Itβs just making something else with them. I think the meat content is so minimal you can do nothing else with them .they just go to mush.
Good morning, thanks for the coffee, it was really needed.
Saw Mum yesterday, she is slightly better and talking a little bit again. Asked to speak to the doctor in charge of her care and I am livid. They have already assessed her as fit and safe to comer home in a few days which is ridiculous Tested her mobility with 2 physio's holding her up. Said I disagreed that she was able to mobilize on her own and this was her third admission in 3 weeks. Only so much I could do to look after her and I want Intermediate Care before she comes home. Doctor asked me if I was in the medical profession as I seemed to know a lot about it! Looks like I am going to have to fight my corner which is going to upset Mum as she just wants to get home.
It's so sad that you have to fight, as she wants to get home and if the right care package and equipment is provided then she won't then need to go back to hospital. When DH broke his ankle just before covid struck, he also had an op to put a plate in, he's a big chap and 6 foot 2..he couldn't weight bear and hopped with assistance they wanted to send him home..they put thru a referral for a bed as he couldnt manage the stairs which they said he wouldn't be able to have..low and behold 15 mins later the referral was accepted and the bed and DH were back home the following day. Your mum needs a care package, in my area they also provide respite in a residential home for 2 weeks before then going home so that all the care can be in place before the patient gets home. But this may have changed as this was what happened before covid...also check on your local red cross, they provide a multitude of care, transport and care aids
