Hello from my sunny back garden, hope all are enjoying the weekend. I havent been out on my bike since last year, last week i started and oh boy my undercarriage felt it but added milage each time i went out, alternated with running every second day. Friday i went out on my bike going down hill a speed hump with a hole on the side i realised my front tyre was flat, i had to cycle it back uphill. I went to use my other bike it was flat as its tubeless and hadnt been used in so long 😭 so went for a run instead but struggled as i wasn't in the mood. This morning i went for my long run i like to plan my route ish and decided to do the canal, i hadn't been that way in nearly 2 years as i have to drive and i like to go from home. Glad i went early as i had shade the whole 9 miles out, but got some sun on the way back but still comfortable, coming to 2 miles b4 i got back to the car and a coffee, bang a bleedin mettal thing sticking out of the ground i went flying, ist thing i did was swear 2nd was i turned my garmin off 😁 boy did i hurt, my thigh muscle hurt so much i though i wouldn't make it back, only the though of coffee got me back. Both elbows, both knees and thigh are cut and bruised, my arm feels like its been burnt as it was gravvel and i slid what felt like ages. I had a neck warmer as a sweat wiper away so used that to get rid of grit and dirt from the cuts. Since lockdown ive been a clutz and both arms and elbows take the brunt where they are now white marks and no freckles ive taken the skin off so many times. I think im going to hurt on my recovery run tomorrow, wish i had a bike ready as it may hurt less..... maybe not. Enjoy your evening, gentle hugs to one and all who want one x
