Haze, that sounds a nightmare re your solicitor - what on earth do they need to see bank statements for? If you were getting a mortgage or something I could understand the bank / building society needing them but surely no need for solicitor to have them. Sounds like some sort of delaying tactic as they know it will take you a while to source. You probs need a local recommendation tho - best of luck with it!
Enterprise, do you have a Skechers or a Skechers at an outlet place near you? They had some lovely sandals in at Cheshire Oaks when we were there last week - me and my mate both got some (different ones)
I wish we had an outlet, unfortunately we live in a "prosperous" area, aka bloody expensive, no outlets within about 50 miles.
Not sure that follows re the affluent area as Chester and Bicester also prosperous but anyway as curly says you might get online.
Nice josie but don't think I could have done 25000 steps around Rome in those! π
I bet you could! They're so comfy and quite sparkly which I don't think shows in the photo. There's a lot of support because they're wedges.
I'm pretty much wearing them all day every day at the mo, except when I'm playing tennis, because I've got plantar fascitis (probably as a result of too much tennis π)
The chiropodist recommended we get Mum Skechers and I got some at the same time. Iβve not looked back since. They are the comfiest shoes/sandals Iβve ever had. But they are definitely large. I normally take size 8 but thatβs 7 in Sketchers.
How lovely for you to have your dad with you! Living with family for anything more than a few days is hard! Hope you get into a groove that is good for both of you!
I need some.comfy sandles, I've put in basket for when I have vouchers. Might be supportive but a bit more professional than my trainers which we aren't supposed to wear but I forged a note from my mum.
Knackered again, that walk really finished me off! Was 5000 steps I guess it is a lot considering on a work day I have managed to get it down to 3000 hmm OK I don't feel like such a failure now.
Hugs and loves to all needed or not and extra squishes going too xxx
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather and having a good weekend. I worked hard outside yesterday and feeling a bit knackered as a consequence so I'm going to have a much easier day today.
I think I'll take myself off to the coast, not the hateful touristy bit and all that goes with that, but to the old part where the fishing boats come in and there are places to sit and 'just be'. Where it's quiet and peaceful and very relaxing. I'll take a book and just sit awhile, getting some sea air and then buying some fresh caught fish for dinner tonight
Have a great day all whatever you are getting up to!

That sounds like a perfect day foxyπ€π€
im going to be down the field this morning. I do about 10,000 steps gardening, up and down from the water butts ets but don't seem to do any walking around supermarkets. Must be my hands on the trolleyπ
Good luck Inna with Dad. I think it's just hard living with ANY family member when it's new. We are all so set in our ways and don't like our routines upset.
The sun has got his hat on...........π€π€π€π€π€

Good morning all, glorious day here
Thanks for the cuppa MW.
We were out for a meal last night, a group of about 20 of us, needless to say I am very thirsty today from all the chatting lol.
Good luck living with your father for a while Inna!!
I leave the step counting to my phone TM, and it sits in my handbag so it records everything except at home when it just sits on the side lol.
That sounds like the perfect day Foxy, would love to do that but we are more than 30 miles from the nearest beach, and the traffic today would be horiffic.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Getting housework done today and DH has been in the garage tiding Its endless He has too many small tools and just dumps them in there then needs to buy another screwdriver etc
We are off to B'ham next week 3/4 nights Cousin still struggling after a second bout of pneumonia in February and she is down to 6st Its their 59th wedding anniversary so we are going to see if they want to go out to celebrate Probably a take away though
Booked a bus tour to Liverpool next month Very basic package but it means DH can have a wee drink of an evening as a tour to Chester and somewhere else are included Plus its just old folk and it leaves from our local bus station 5 mins away
Foxy I would love a day at the seaside So enjoy Our nearest is about an hours drive so not something we do often
Haze Hope the day of peace and quiet helped reset your batteries

I've just noticed inna online. She loves to make the early morning cuppasππππ
My alarm goes off at 6am. I turn my laptop on for a short time to quickly get spins on freejackpot and if i get time have a quick peep into forum
Back in april I persuaded my 71 yr old dad to visit me (from Ukraine). He arrived this wednesday after travelling in 2 overnight trains and a first in his life plane journey! My parents got divorced when I was 7, I haven't lived with him for a long time! Not sure how long he'll stay with me, we'll give it a month and see how we get on. But winters in Ukraine are harsh, and I'd feel bad sending him back if things don't improve there. It's an odd feeling having dad back in my life. He's been telling me about his mum's side of the family going back to 1920's, fascinating stuff. I'll be going on summer hols soon with kids, he'll be on housesitting duties.
Hope it works out well.
My rather posh neighbours who took a Ukrainian family in, only lasted a few months before issues rose and it ended.... but they had given them separate living areas and had no intentions of actually spending time with them. They just had strangers living on one floor of the house.
However, my friend who took a teenage Ukraine lad in, is still going well. He's a part of the family, he's at uni, has his own group of friends who hang out at my friends house ... just like her older birth children did. His mum visits/stays with them twice a year... I'm sure my friend wants her to stay forever as she loves cooking and cleaning... tasks my friend fully admits are not in her skill base!

Oooh I have this, had about 3 months now, it's bloody agony...I can't walk barefoot in the house at all.
Finished the deck board replacements! I even had a stroke of genius at how to do the bits that needed to be cut out! Knackered now though and obvs needs painting
The brown ones are the ones we replaced first a few years back, then we did another 10 a month or two ago but then I got one more lot. Can't seem to get that size from wickets anymore but found them on ebay.

Freeze a bottle and when your sat down roll it with the arch/soul of your foot it will give you brain freeze but it got rid of mine. It's sooooo painful I feel for both of you π’

I had that for a while, well, that was what it seemed to be. I now never buy shoes that I can't feel the arch in, I have very high arches and I think it exacerbated the problem. That is one good thing about Skechers π

Had a lovely time at the coast as there was a gentle cool breeze blowing in off the sea which mitigated the heat of the sun so that made it very pleasant to sit out. Not too many people about either which made it perfect. I'm very lucky to live just a short drive away from the coast so I really feel for people who live much further away and it's not so convenient to pop to.
From the fishing boats I bought some haddock and plaice for the freezer and a lovely Lemon Sole for dinner tonight, which I think I will partner with a creamy and mildly Parmesan sauce. I popped in the Farm shop on the way home and got some freshly dug new potatoes and a big bag of watercress to make a watercress and avocado salad to go with it. I'm feeling really hungry now just writing that down!
Foxy that dinner sounds fab I am eating out of the freezer this month and next So its lamb shanks with all the trimmings of a roast but yours sounds so much nicer
