Ooh, what did you get? I MUST get a new phone, mine shuts down several times each morning, although today for a change it didn’t. I’m an Apple user, thinking a new iPhone 14 and wondering what Black Friday will bring. Just LOL thinking as I typed Black of the blackberry phones, do they still exist.

HASTINGS DIRECT quoted me £914 to renew my car insurance, I nearly had a heart attack. I’ve just got quotes for the same cover from £250, and that comes with £20 Sainsbury’s gift voucher and a free coffee from Greggs each month for a year (from confused.com). I guess they didn’t want me anymore now I’m retired. 20+ years no claims, small car by the way.
Was that still with Hastings or another company? What a saving

Goskippy via confused.com. Incidentally, when I cancelled my renewal at Hastings Direct they came up with a better price, £650, still way too high but why didn’t they quote me that in the first instance? I think because I was a loyal customer.

My years insurance was just over £200 comprehensive for me and hubby. I was going to add son aged 35 with plenty of no claims and clean licence but they wanted another £284. In the end we found his wife was covered third party on my car and on our business policy so she borrowing my car and he’s driving theirs as he’s on a course in London for three weeks and his own vehicle would rack up a massive amount of ULEZ charges.
