Suggestions please for a elite price hotel near Manchester 02 arena. Or maybe a hotel near with easy bus/tram/taxi transfer. Was looking at Travelodge near to the 02 last week but it's gone up £££😕.
Is it the AO arena next to Victoria station or the O2 Apollo in Ardwick you are going to ? O2 is nearer to Piccadilly station, smaller venue similar to a theatre experience.

Enterprise, such good news. Pleased you're taking a few days off.... remember you are likely to be ill x
Sue, hope you get a few more days off, your battery must be totally flat xx
Rusty are you going to a SFF?
TM, what a gorgeous little bundle. I think there's no better thing in life than a grandchild. If we are lucky enough to have one, we're moving to whether he/she lives as we want to have a close relationship. So questions you need answers to are....1. Can you afford to retire. 2. If you retire does it mean OH has to work longer. 3. Is DD returning to work, so in need of childcare.... so you can have time with baby without impacting on DD and her OHs relationship.
It took me nearly 12 months to adjust to not working..... but I had developed an unhealthy work/work balance..... now it's the best thing x

Best Western have got a 2 for 1 deal on at the mo. Sorry, don't know if there's one near the O2 arena. Not heard of that one. Or do you mean AO? 🤔
Gorgeous sunshine, feeling very blessed to share it with my elite family and more blessed to see TMs new baby. Retirement…. When they kicked me hard and forced it upon me 12 or more years early I totally panicked as it wasn’t something I’d planned and financially wasn’t in a good place. Someone smiled down on me as it all resolved itself and we have a nice nest egg for emergencies and both happy with our incomes which pay the bills and with care pay for our holidays and social events. I did miss my work family at first but most turned out to be fair weather friends a It was like a bereavement to not go and share chats and coffee and help each other in general and the time void was weird but you soon adapt. I urge everyone who hasn’t done so to get a retirement forecast if you have a private pension as it’s free to ask once a year x
I've been retired 2½ years and in still winging it 🤣
DH had his pension at least and I've got some property income but am living for today and have no real idea about pensions 🙈🤣
I'm up early. Waiting on the range picking up their broken tables they finally sent me.
I have never met such a shambolic system. You get calls to say their coming and emails to say they aren't.
Had the kids here yesterday. Little miss was playing lego game with MR BB on the PS5 And oldest and I went qnd had a wander on town got a few bits and had a Costa.
Weird us all being off on a Monday but somehow we were.
Diabetes review today after the incorrectly booked appointment. I have done well since the summer but of course there's still plenty to do. We will see.

Good morning. I went in the range yesterday and I said as I always do what a shambles the whole shop is. There's stuff dumped everywhere, it just looks a mess. I went in for some chalk pens, getting ready for Christmas 😂 and the only two packets of the ones I wanted had both been ripped open. I still bought one but it's not good that is it.

Morning all, actually have some blue sky today.
Hope all are good, and new grandchild has had loads of hugs.
Hoping OH is OK when I go in today, he had his catheter removed yesterday but they had to put a new one back in, he cannot feel if his bladder is full and he cannot pee. Hopefully it is only temporary, not the end of the world if it has to be there for a whileneeds must be, but he is likely to be frustrated. Hopefully it won't stop him going to rehab. Still no news on that yet, waiting for a bed still.

Yes sorry it's the AO Josie😱😂, I'm not sure if I'm coming or going at the moment 😬.
SSM you confused me but then clicked 😂. Answer no I've been all over the shop since last Wednesday with other things happening and unplanned events ---

Mine is the AO arena. 🤔 we need somewhere either accessible in a taxi or very close with a minimal walk, as one of us has limited mobility.
Our the Range is a nice posh one but not particularly cheap for me anyway lol
Re grandchildren we have 7 and another baby girl due in a week or two. They range from 21 to 1 . We love them all of course but feel closer to Riley 12 who we looked after while when he was very young .

Hope everything goes well for you in the coming weeks Enterprise
Hubby used to sit with him on the swinging chair outside when they were waiting for his mum to collect him and they sit and look at the stars and moon lol. He d only be about 18 months then .

I cannae believe Riley is 12 !!! Where has the time gone.
Can I ask has anyone ever used a product like a cream etc that's literally made them sick ?
Little Miss has figured and doctor is testing liver to see if the fake tan she changed too has been affecting her liver.
Its taken months to come to realisation. However since she stopped it , she's been so much better. Apparently I'd said to her at one point have you changed anything and she hadn't considered that. Penny dropped at some point.

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good. I'm partial to a bit of fake tan as figure it's healthier than too much exposure to the sun. Would you mind sharing which one she uses please? I'm mainly on Dove or Nivea or do they think it's just a reaction she's having rather than anything else.
I had a bad reaction to echinacea. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's completely safe either

I started the Absolute Collagen sachets They did not seem to have the wonderful effects others I know had Not ill but "off" Blood results showed low folic acid So stopped the collagen have folic acid tablets and will give it another month before I try them again
@di its called B0ndi Sands. She's always used another one. It just didn't occur to her.
She looked up the ingredients and it says in some people it causes liver problems disclaimer : this is not Mr saying its dangerous, just that for her stopping it had an unbelievable change. It seemed to have been causing. Excessive urination, to the point of not being able to get from A to B, Bloating , itchy skin, and weirdly a gurgly belly and anxiety amongst others.
Of course could be coincidental but since she has stopped , she's back to her bright and breezy self.
Mrs Mac, so odd , try to solve a problem but made it worse

Fingers crossed little miss hasn't damaged her liver BB. OH is currently on the gastroenterology and hepatology ward (they do not seem to know where to put him as it affects everything, this ward seemed to be about getting him eating properly, he has lost 10kg since he's been in!!) and I have seen what liver failure does to people, so everything is crossed for her!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Liver can repair itself depending on the extent and the cause. My Bro has recent kidney and liver damage due to a big operation but with careful diet he is improving. I had stage 3 CKD but it’s down to 2 with less strong, spicy food(, less salt)and good management of infections etc.
