I was just going to reply about those types of apartments, like Josie says they are abit of a rip-off, think they need looking into. Don't really go up in value and high charges.
I've been MIA. Not really caught up but just want to wish sarah and haze all the best in their moves..... I swear they are in the same chain!
MW hope you saved me cake, it looks divine. Ps, congratulations on being a wonderful mum for 16 years x
Those flats in Aldershot are so cheap.... defo something worrying. I saw different age restrictions 60/65..... which will cause a constant turnover of residents. My MIL moved into a bungalow owned and run by a charity. The age limited was 50 plus. It gave a nice mix which led to a lovely community
Right off to go MIA again as still sorting crap out
X
i saved you two coz i figured youd want one for brekkie too
Got to football match no 1 about 15 mins late (luckily still before KO) and DS who is covering in goal for the injured keeper had a bit of a mare - but given we had already spent a couple of hours struggling in the loft to change the immersion he did great. Good news is crisis is averted, we have hot water again.
I got very wet running the line. Then on to DD football, she got to play about 30 mins but is not really getting on great at her new team for this season, they have too many players so she does not get enough game time to get match sharp, a bit of a catch 22.
Hope your DD settled at uni and not giving you to much grief Michaels.
Thanks, that is DD1, she is in her own place for the first time after halls for the first two years and seems to need to come home every weekend and is still mixing with the most unsuitable 'friends' unfortunately.

Oh I thought she was away for the first time,at least if she's home at weekends you can keep an eye on her then unless the unsuitable friends are on home turf. It does get better, hang on it's a bit of a ride, roundabouts and hill starts, emergency stops but one day it calms down.

It’s good she keeps coming home, it will sort itself but I feel your pain . We just got rid of our two immersions which were on 24/7 as grumpy wanted availability of a hot, deep bath any time and refused timers. They scrapped for nearly £200 and I’m over £100 a week better off on my electric bill.

Sounds like a plan. We heat the tank using night rate electricity that is only marginally more than gas - ever since the gas boiler broke in March. The plan was to replace it with a heat pump but we have not been able to get a reasonable quote so may have to bite the bullet and get the boiler fixed.

Coming home every weekend could be a sign that she sees the unsuitable-ness of the friends and avoids the weekend antics.

I was lucky as B&Q tradepoint sold off some boilers during lockdown and I bought one to keep in stock ( as we MSE do), the old boiler gave up its fight a week before the bathroom was started so it had to be moved due to new legislation and decided to bite the bullet and get rid of the swimming pool sized tank in the loft which was causing me concern. One plumber practically refused to fit it and the one my son recommended was more than happy and even did extended warranty with the manufacturer for me.
DH has cut back neighbours oak tree which is IMO way to close to our garage She did not plant it it just grew there The branches have been getting caught in the garage roofline so he asked nicely if he could cut it back He had to climb onto roof to carry out the work as our garden is much higher than hers Just as well I was out
Sun shining but very cold and windy Neighbours bin overturned and all her rubbish strewn in her driveway DH sorted it
Right off to sort out bags from loft then see what else can be done today

How was Majorca Mrs M ?…. I miss quite a bit with Tapatalk and was sure you and one other were there around the same time as me and grumps. We loved it so much but as it was a pit stop of less than two days I hankered to return before they close down at the end of the month. Ole grumpy was having none of it and Friday he suddenly announced “sod it, book for next week” Not one to rest on my laurels we’re off for four nights tomorrow but of course the weather is set to change.

I thought you had bought an heat pump in September or was that someone else on here ?
