We have done it.......EXCHANGE has happened....we are completing next friday.
Excellent news! My arms, legs and fingers are extremely grateful to be restored to normal positions
Your patience has been amazing and you can now relax, well for a little while until you start the physical moving! But that's just hard work, at least the stress is over and you must be so relieved. Huge congratulations and I hope you will have many happy years in your new home.
My once warm dressing gown has thinned down from regular washing and is no longer cosy and I need new thermals. Need to get personally prepped for winter. Spent a lot of time in recent weeks getting the house and gardens ready but now it's time for me.
Plus where have all my socks gone?🤔🤔
Socks?! I have loads. I keep finding bargains and also I darn them so they last. I'd just persuaded myself not to buy any more when my niece decided to bin loads of hers. (DB pays and she hasn't yet learned the value of money ☹️.) So I rescued them and now have enough socks to last me until they carry me out of the house...
My world has narrowed so much at the moment, but if it is the price to pay to get OH well again they I will pay it a million times over.
Had someone on FB (before we went on holiday), they must have been newbies around here. They were complaining about things getting flooded down by the river, couldn't get his normal walk in and wanted the path paved. A lot of people had a real go at him, it is the flood plains that are frequently underwater during the winter. He still reckoned more should be done to maintain it as a path. I think he gave up because the post disappeared.
That said, we have never been flooded here. The whole of the local town would have to flood before we flooded, we are only a little uphill but pretty sure it is enough.
Enterprise, stay as steady as you can. We are all rooting for you and your OH.
Shrewsbury put the barriers up yesterday I think, today Ironbridge it will be with lalli tomorrow. Parts around welshpool are awful for flooding. We had more problems with it coming off the fields our way, running down people's driveways like rivers onto the roads. I'm back up tonight for a few days, driving by the knocking/knockin shop😱😂.
It’s been awful. It was bad at home too, the village I live in has 2 spots that flood. Always outside the same 2 houses, runs up their drives too. There’s a forecast for torrential rain and high winds again on Sunday, so we’ve decided to only stay until Saturday evening. I’ll give you a wave as we pass, cos we’ll be going through the knocking shop too. 🤣🤣 Have a safe journey later.xx ps did you see in the news there’s some sort of campaign to make that crossroads safer? About time, I have palpitations every time we go that way. 🤣🤣
Which is this dangerous crossroads on the way to Shrewsbury pls? I know of one along the way there that I hate but not sure it's in the Knockin shop area!

2 long years, we have been trying to move, oh my god how stressful is it trying to sort it all out.
Never ever will I move again.
Champagne can be taken off ice tonight now.... time to party.
🥳🥳🥳 That is absolutely fantastic. I am so pleased for you Sarah.
I remember when I moved to my present house 30 years ago. My brothers helped and I remember all of us sitting in the lounge, exhausted, and I asked them to remind me never to move again.
I really hope the move goes smoothly for you. Make sure loo roll, a kettle, tea & coffee etc and something to eat are very handy when you move.
Aw thanks tweets & rosie, we have exchanged contracts and moving next friday..... hopefully 🙏. Im normally the optimist but after 5 years and 1 month trying to sell I will wait until we are in until I can relax. We did sell 2 years ago but fell through, we resold within weeks then came home to the flood so off the market for a year and we finally sold this may, its taken so long to get here it feels like forever. The house is very bare now and I'm knackered lol. As it was a nice day ive got a salad with burgers and chips for dinner, I'm starving its been a long tome since breakfast. Hope all had a nice sunny day.
Lol i wish, sarah is moving near me about 10 miles away its a beautiful area. It used to be on our cycle enroute to cafe neros coffee stop when hubby used to be able to now we just drive lol. Thanks everyone, ill defined raise a glass for sarah tonight.

Brilliant news our limbs are uncrossed
I would be like you only relax when you are in
Next will be either Lalli or Sleazy
I feel like sleazy and I will end up in a bidding war over the same property at this rate 😂

Well, the neurologist has confirmed it is guillain-barre syndrome. It is quite rare so they have been struggling with the diagnosis. He could end up back in ICU as he is struggling with his breathing a bit, though not on oxygen yet. He should start seeing a bit moe improvement soon.
Thinking of you Enterprise - some years ago, one of my colleagues had guillain-barre syndrome and the recovery time took some months This man was in his early fifties at the time, don't know Mister Enterprise's age, but suspect it might take longer if he's older.
Hope you get an improvement in the Mr soon enterprise X
Yes that crossroads 😱 kurly, it's either empty or full traffic when I get there, I do take a division sometimes down a lane so I'm on the main road to turn off rather than trying to cross it😉.
Everyone's off to the knockin shop this weekend instead of Norfolk 😂
Had to go your way today Rusty, I waved aimlessly as I went through the village. 🤣🤣🤣 it’s ok for us going to t town, turn left, it coming back can be a bit hairy, But, like you say, it’s either empty and sail through, or it’s busy and wait for ages then hold ya breath that the gap was big enough. 🤣🤣 roads were not too bad either, just a few big puddles.
