Good morning. Can't tell what the weather is like because it's still pitch black, but the kettle is on and will keep it hot for morning drinks, please help yourselves.
Husband is on a trial overnight shift tonight so we’re off to pick him up in an hour or so and see how he got on. If he likes it then it’s more money which will be good, and he’ll be home to help with bedtime which will be a godsend
Good morning all. Overcast here in Bucks for now. Fabulous Olympic news for Team GB 🥇. Don’t want to spoil in case folk want to watch for themselves 🤫. Dishwasher is on, breakfast done, time to get dressed. Have a good day!

If he does nights then it might be an idea to follow what my OH used to do. He used to come in in the morning, sleep for a handful of hours, then he used to get up for a while and used to have a sleep before he went to work for a couple of hours. Might be worth looking it up online! We loved it when he was on nights, so much more time in the daytime especially with this sleep pattern
Bright & Sunny here today, and I've just taken the last of my antibiotics.
Bit bashed, because I fell over in the lounge yesterday evening (and landed on a tin stash) lol, but no major damage.
Still barred from Wetherspoons by WiFi as my cough still suddenly starts up periodically, and I start getting short of breath. She's sure that if it happens in a confined space like a pub, I'll be asked to leave as it sounds like covid although it isn't.
I'm in the market for a new tablet, so if anyone comes across a good deal, would be grateful for the heads-up. I had two tablets - first one lasted ages (Samsung), had an Acer Iconia for 2 years and it's struggling to say the least ...
Does anyone have IN clothing adverts on here? Most strange yesterday, waiting outside for OH to collect drinks from a pub, checked my phone and there was an ad for a pink print summer dress. Turned my phone off and a lady came out from the pub wearing the identical dress!!
On your head in the quiz, Tweet Edit - Just realised that we've both made the same number of posts (1981). Do we get a prize?
Morning Sleaze,
What you like falling again dozy duck you are .

Hope you told them at hospital you keep falling ?
Wondered why i was feeling squashed
Don't think we get a prize if we do will probably be out of date

My current one is a Vankyo from Amazon (we know the make through some projectors we have supplied to our clients with no complaints). It is heavy though, heavier than my previous Samsung. I had an Acer Iconia as my first one, think it did a couple of years or so but my last one (Samsung Tab A) lasted more than 5 years. I do not know how long the Vankyo will last obviously but it is smooth in operation, the camera can be a PITA though. Personally I wish I had gone for another Samsung because of the weight and the camera, but the Vankyo does the job and was considerably cheaper, but I got it on offer.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Nothing much to report here except for a sore throat from taking LFT's 😕
But I've also discovered an app which might interest some people.
It's called Brickit.
It scans your lego pieces and suggests different things you can make out of them🤗🤗🤗🤗😂😂
Just been investigating this app, but unfortunately not on Android until later in the year. Must remember this..we have Lego which was my DH when he was younger..he's now 71...and oldest GS from London loves Lego so does his dad
Anyone received their drop store order please? The free random flavour London gin offer? Noticed that my order was 7th July but nothing received yet. Tia.
DM, this is reduced to £7.23 in t's and there is 25% off at the moment, so just over £5 a bottle. 🥂
Just trying to do a C&C, and they must not sell it at my store
Also, there is not anything saying about the 25% off when I am placing an order. I dont usually use tesco, anyone know why it would not be showing please? Edit: the offer finishes tonight. Just gone to change my slot, and all the ones for tonight have gone, pah!

Ordered mine early this month and nothing yet. I did email them and got an automated reply saying they are too busy to read emails (!) and they are working 24/7 to catch up with delayed orders.
At least you got one, I’m in Spain and paid mega money upfront to be told sorry you need an internationalpermit “Brexit “ …. When questioned they just laughed and kept saying Brexit and refused to refund . The parting remark was “ you shouldn’t have booked through an agent “! It took eight hours and much heartache to complete a on hour car journey by public transport
What a nightmare, would a taxi have been prohibitive? I seem to remember in the past for non-europe hire needing to get an 'International Driving Licence' that was a few quid from possibly the post office - is this what is needed now in Europe?
Edit: www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/international-driving-permit - £5.50. I hope it wasn't just this as that would be even more annoying if you found out all you needed to have done was walk into a post office with your driving licence and £5.50....
Could be easier just to get a new photo driving licence? Not sure how often you'd need the permit?
