A question please
Has anyone bought Sainsburys giftcards in Argos recently - physical giftcards in an Argos store? Just wondering if its worth just going and asking - our Argos is in a Sainsburys store.
Looking at my Halifax cashback extras I found this useful offer "Earn 7% Cashback on your next purchase of £15 or more at Argos. Maximum reward £30.00 Cashback. Offer expires 06/08/2021 and is valid one time only"
No mention of exclusions regarding gift cards.
And then I realised that if I use my Halifax debit card it is also on my list of saved cards for Airtime rewards for an added 2% cashback - so 7% and 2% = 9% - quite acceptable
Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others,or to diminish something of their pains

Good afternoon. I hope that you've all had a good day. 😎
I've been searching online for a discount code for either Robert Dyas or Wayfair and the best that I can find is 5% off RD and £10 off wayfair- just wondered if anyone knows of anything better?

I bought Sains gift cards in Argos two days ago x
Main Argos store or an Argos inside a Sainsburys? I am going to give it a try anyway - just had a thought that we dont have a stand alone Argos any more - both nearest stores closed their town center stores and moved into Sainsburys

Also if anyone is wondering why they dont seem to have had much or any post recently it may be that your local sorting office has been short staffed (due to pinging) - these are the affected areas.

Oh Mr Rustyhead is a Rusty head😱😂. After lasts night palaver he returned to A & E this morning, only two and a half hours wait this morning😬. Got told off from the Dr for not going in yesterday 😬, well he did and he told them that, they were shocked that he wasn't seen. Wounds washed and glued up, would of been a easier and tidier job yesterday(drs words).

Just thinking that I used my £10 TCB gift card which cost me less than £8 so thinking that I got a further 20% off too. So possibly 80p for the pods🤗🤗🤗🤗

We want to say thank you to all our members who have supported us during the pandemic.
Which is why we're giving you 50% OFF Surplus Surprises from Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st July!"
The very small print in the graphic says discount is taken off the marked price.
I assume it applies to most people as I am not NHS or one of their main target members.

Not read back, but abort trips if you're going mainly for this. It ended yesterday. They're also saying 6 max of anything, not just certain items, so 6 Muller yog, not 6 of each flavour. Only exception is if say the yog go to 10 for £1 because they're v short dated, the till will allow that.
Thank you - I did go yesterday but it was a complete wasted journey with hardly anything at all worth buying. The Surplus Surprises was only the random jumble sale items, which in my view is overpriced tat in the most part and it was no better yesterday.
I have to admit that I was surprised that one of the first things to suffer with the pandemic was healthcare!!
They could have had quarantined hospitals and ordinary hospitals, they could have continued opening doctors surgeries with temperature checks and if necessary tests for entry, all staff in full ppe.
Surely the last thing you want is for healthcare to be neglected, especially as a lot of illnesses would leave people more susceptible to covid. Pretty sure if I had not been able to get treatment when I had pneumonia then I would not be here anymore. The doctor said that if I had gone a day later it would have been emergency admission, with all the restrictions happening now then that may not have happened either.
I'm wondering what's happened to the Nightingale Hospitals? The doctor in A&E on Monday told me that some northern hospitals are already running at capacity and having to send patients to other areas.
The Nightingales were decommissioned as hospitals had built capacity reconfiguring hospitals/services and they weren't as needed as originally feared. I know some may question the cost/need, but personally I would rather they had the capacity available when it was looking particularly dicey and not required, than run out of space.
I am sure they have developed a plan in case it is needed.
I'll never forget how happy I was when I saw my missus walking down the aisle. My heart was beating fast and the excitement was unbearable. It seemed to take an age but eventually there she was, stood beside me. I gave her a cheeky wink and said, "Get that trolley over here love, they're Doing 3 cases of lager for £21
Grr - sold an item on ebay for cash for £20 profit, forgot to delist and had an offer today that would have given £70 profit....
Have you seen if you can get hold of one to complete the sale at a profit?

I guess I could have done a local search - it was the aldi swimming pools - they turned up in the shops this year and didn't sell out as the weather has been carp and they were going on ebay at below cost including free shipping (and they cost £30+ to ship) so I was happy to make a profit (I thought we would have to try and return them to Aldi or hold till next year). Then the weather and the market changed....
Today was last day of term, we have DD2 and 10 15 year olds in the garden trying to re-enact love island in the pool and probably surreptitiously mixing vodka into their soft drinks My 17 YO DD1 and her 'non-boyfriend; in the family room watching High School Musical until 11 when the 15 year olds disappear and some more 17/18 YOs turn up for some 'quiet grown up time' in the pool My 12 YO DS who is nearly 6 foot tall making candyfloss with the 15 year olds who are displaying much to much interest A 12 YO foreign student who is rooming with us because he can't get home to Hong Kong playing xbox in his room
And me at my desk trying to get some work done despite it still being too hot and me being the only one who has to get up tomorrow....
Thought I'd nip to the retail park while it was cooler. Think everyone had the same idea! Collected boots order and T for top up shop plus cashback items. Empty shelves everywhere! Only managed to get the gourmet cat food. Mum's fussy cat devoured one, it looked lovely turned upside down like a creme caramel!

A profit is still better than a loss! Do you have to pay fees on cash sales now?

The lad doing the reductions in T baracades himself in with a do not enter sign! Didn't bother to wait but at least he was protected as last time I did an evening visiting the young lad nearly lost an arm in the scrum...

Depends if you declare them as sales - the stuff was listed with an 80% off FVF so I would have put it through ebay but just had not got round to it as the buyer had come over with cash rather than clicking on buy it now.
