Good morning all, glorious day here
Being woken up by magpies seems to be a common theme, not exactly the lovely birdsong you want to hear first thing!
Off out on my bike today, has to be done in weather like this.
Have to admit, I think we rely on centralised computers far too much. All it takes for massive disruption is an outage. Where's the backup? It should switch over to another service immediately, but probably find MS do not permit that!
As for allergies, I have long been convinced that there is more now, and I personally put it down to all the antibacterial cleaners there are around. I cannot find "normal" floor cleaning wipes (can't use mop and bucket as it is a veneer floor that has already suffered damage). In fact, I can't recall the last time I saw non-antibacterial cleaners. I avoid using them when I can but sometimes it is the only way. Problem is, there is a lot of good bacteria around that act as protection, and these cleaners do not discriminate.
And Magda what a scary time for you. There are so many people with worrying allergies now. Was it always this way? Or did people just go undiagnosed with all the dangers surrounding that.
I've just downloaded the Good Food App to get 12 months magazines for ยฃ9.99. Remember to cancel next July. I love the Christmas issues๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค
Have you got a link TM.
Iโve had a look myself but all Iโm finding is a 12 month APP subscription for ยฃ9.99.
Giftcards not working to pay in my Morrisons, hope Sains are ok for the veryme ones today! Off there next will confirm or not!
Yes same in Morrisons this morning, fortunately I was just doing bits of shopping to complete the weekly targets
And then I went to Sainsburys where I was doing big shop plus ill fitting clothing and a gcard and I could not buy a gcard on SS tills and the SSS said they were having issues so ill fitting clothing came off the bill
Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others,or to diminish something of their pains
Does this computer issue give anyone else the fear ? It's a mess. Flights and trains grounded. Doctors cannae see patients and people cant pay.
I bet there's a run on atm withdrawals just in case money ๐ฐ
Yes I share your fear. I spend time with a retired member of the BCS, British computer Society. They pitched a similar scenario to a gov. dept. earlier this year. The gov. were onside to listen and talk further.

Have to admit I was rather annoyed today. I went up the high street which is very restricted parking. There was an ambulance parked there rather skewiff with it's lights flashing so I assumed it was on a call. Nope, saw the crew walking back with drinks in their hands. I really do not think that is right, those lights are for emergencies, not for parking control.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Thanks for the hugs guys, sorry didn't mean to be one of those cryptic posts. I was absolutely exhausted.
Thanks for the hugs all gratefully received.
Little miss hasn't been too well last while. Lots of tests. They've give her everything from betablockers to laxatives. The 5th doctor she seen yesterday sent her straight to admissions. Suspected appendicitis. Then practitioner said probably gall bladder. Wait for doctor. Doctor came this morning so away for ultrasound.
We literally sat at hospital all day and night. Should hear later on hopefully. I'm sure she will be fine but with her history of kidney issues we always worry.
I know there's a lot worse off so sorry for making this central.
Fingers crossed for a resolution as whatever it is , its restricted her life since May.
Big hugs back thanks for just always being here xx
Update : neither thing. Internal infection. High does antibiotic her 3rd type and home x
haze thank you. Yeah i was fairly stressed and worried on weds day night. She got a good sleep last night and says today she thinks the antibiotics doing their job. She had to take 5 big tablets at the once.
She's just wanting back to work and the symptoms she's been having to go away. It's ruined a lot of stuff for her recently and she's young and doesn't deserve not to enjoy life.
She must be feeling better as she called solicitor to get progress on mortgage stuff. Needs sorted very very soon or another large payment on the variable. Its over 8%
Unreal. Although I was too young to remember the 17% in the 80s - mil did
Thank you Bananababe and sunshinemummy,it was definitely hazelnuts as it turned out that hazelnut flour was used in the pastry. He has contacted the bakery and suggested that it needs to be added to the list of allergens as the doctor told him that it is not uncommon to have an allergy to hazelnuts.
Hope your not suffering too much with covid mattswife, sorry you missed dds last day ๐. I don't know what the rules are regarding covid but some people seem to not bother or worry but I know people who still get bad with it and i worry about vulnerable people. Its scoring here, way too hot for a miday run as dropped hubby at golf & went shopping this morning, mad dogs and Englishmen came to mind oh and a mad irish womman ๐. Hugs to all and thoughts to those going through poopie times xx
Baking hot afternoon ๐ Washing on line was dry in 20 minutes Then I've had to iron it ๐๐๐คฃ
Admittedly I wasn't washing clothes before holiday but.... I bought a gorgeous new jersey oversized top from charity shop this morning & then decided to unpick the leaves on the flowers on it so needed a wash to erase the stitch holes & remove new smell So sheets & towels washed too ๐

Playing devils advocate here but wondering if they had been called to an emergency but didnt need to take the patient to hospital and got given the drinks as they left. If not. Yes that's bad. Plenty of safer places they could have stopped to get a drink
