trulymadly - she's a lot better than she was for sure. Blood tests back next week and if anything sinister she will hear sooner
She's convinced it's been that tan as since stopping using it she feels like a new person.
Congratulations again on becoming a granny. He's absolutely beautiful π you have been issued a 100 Hall passes so if you're busy we know why !!
Much love β€
I've been struggling with my breathing a bit and an annoying cough, more needing to clear my throat. Stopped having flowers indoors helped a bit, stopped using candles, gave them to dd she was delighted. Last thing was two reed diffusers from Dobbies, gave them to dd and then gradually got better. Last week dd ended up blue lighted to A&E from the walk in centre, couldn't breath etc...long story cut short they said she had developed asthma, it suddenly occured to me she now had the reed diffusers so I rang her and she put them outside....she is now almost back to normal. It just shows you that natural stuff only is best, we use things without knowing what the hell is in them. And all these people now injecting themselves with diabetes meds to lose weight must be mental. I hope little miss is ok xx
Awe goodness me Di, I'm glad your lassie is OK. Your completely right. I overheard someone saying her pal buys ozempic off Facebook and a trans person at work buys their meds from Portugal.
I literally thought they could be getting anything... dog worming tablets or laxatives or worse.
You'd think though tan you can buy in boots or diffusers fro. Dobbies would be safe
Brilliant to see Mr TM diagnosed and treated speedily by NHS.
Hope Little Miss continues to return to her healthy self.
Cold and foggy at the moment.
Enjoy today if you can.
Love and hugs. xx
How ya getting on LBC ?
Have you started the Christmas organisation yet ? I need to buy another Xmas tree. We chucked old one out. It was stinking from living in the leaky smelly garage.
Don't have much people to buy for. I give mostly cash these days and hubby and oldest had their gifts already.
Little miss and MIL my annual headache to get something different.
And I need to get myself a new phone. Apparently the speak must be done. I am clumsy and have dropped it several times and once slightly into the

Us too we have been for a couple of years now. The one downside to Olio is all the packaging but then I do recycle it all so that saves landfill too.
Thereβs another downsideβ¦β¦ yummy fattening foods !!!!
I tend not to claim the fattening stuff, ours mainly have fruit and veg and a fair bit of meat recently too and delicious eggs last week, we are so lucky having them local.

Oh I thought you were a store collector because that is temptation at its height as we get the first 10% and any use by not claimed. I try to get fish and meat but when a tart au citron or a finest cream delicacy comes in I sometimes I cave.

We have a barrier where we live so people wouldn't be able to get in to collect so I can't ever be a FWH, I do however fetch and carry between our locals to try and do my bit to help and gift lots of glitches too, they must think I'm a right nutter. When I've no glitches I take wine π I've actually become quite good friends with a couple of the collectors it's a bit like the elite, like minded people and all that.
Good afternoon. In a bit of a predicament with Mum. Hospital either want to send her home or to a care home. She isn't well enough to be sent anywhere at the moment, but doctors say she is medically optimised and must move. I wanted her to be given a bed on the frailty unit, but that's not possible. Don't want her in a care home and not sure if I can cope with her needs at home. A care home trial for 28 days sounds good on the surface but Social Workers then have the most input as to whether see needs to stay on a permanent basis. Mum is hardly well enough to make any decisions. Meeting being arranged with discharge nurse, ward manager, doctor, OT, physio and social worker. Mum can't stay awake more than a couple of minutes and can hardly talk.

Ah Sue, such an awful predicament for you to be in. The only thing I would say is what I said to my mum when she had to make this choice about my dad and that was that in a nursing home she could go and see him as often as she wanted and spend quality time with him whereas when he was at home she was so tired from caring for him, washing etc that she might not have been quite as caring...iyswim.

I'm with this all the way... Sue I don't envy the position you are in and I felt exactly the same way as you do now when faced with much the same situation as you are now in. I knew my mum would not want to go into a care home and she fought really hard against going in but there came a point where it came down to not just her quality of life but those around her were suffering too.
It took a while to settle her in and I wont lie when I say it was me she took exception with over being placed there initially and after each visit I would literally sit in the car and sob my heart out. The nursing home were brilliant in recognising the challenges and over the course of the first month there things really softened and by the second month there mums health and wellbeing had really improved...she got used to all the family popping by to visit and those visits became so joyful for all..her included.
My mum spent 11 months in a nursing home before she died and she came to really enjoy it so much so that we have so many good memories of the time she spent there and pictures of her smiling and happy.
If you have the option to visit some homes please do that or indeed have a look for some yourself but please don't think you are failing your mum by at least investigating the options and asking to become very involved in finding the right place for your mum alongside the social care team.Make it clear to them that your feelings and your mums wellbeing is at the heart of this so any move must suit both you and her primarily and not become a social care tick box exercise
Remember you are not alone....

Life is a strange thing, just when you think you've learned how to use it, it's gone

Just a different slant on it but from what you say she is fading fast. My grandmother had a stroke and was at the stage where she had gone into a non conscious state with a slight waking but no communication. They found she had a blood clot and the surgeon decided to operate. My Dad took him to one side asked why . The surgeon said it was procedure but when my Dad explained the seriousness of her condition he cancelled it. What Iβm getting at is they go through the motions without looking at the patient sometimes.
Oh Sue I'm sorry to hear its all so hard to deal with. I used to know a lady who's job was literally to free up beds.
Just went to get covid flu jab. Nurse says no covid ones for diabetics not on insulin. I queried it but went on got flu one. Come home called docs to check with them they said no that's wrong you should be. Please call immunisation team.
Calls them , they called back whoops sorry you should get it. I said I hope your gonna recall the ones you've turned away then.ive to go back in tomo get the covid one.
@lbclc my week off is going too quick. We had a lovely spa day away even if it wasn't very peaceful, we enjoyed the time. Even went to the pub for bar tea. We never do that.
Diabetes review, there's more work to do so a new tablet to be introduced. I've written to my team manager to formally ask for 1 less day a week work. She is aware of situation. Thanks for asking.
And Christmas isn't really my thing either but having Litlle Miss put her tree up on Halloween, she's always loved it.
Just had delivery of one of those lovely big pink Mason baking bowls for her and some home pride flour. They were doing an offer of course.

Ps tigers mum uses far too much airfreshers, I've said to her many times.
He gets washed down here with cool boiled water and cotton balls to take the smell off him. It's improved his breathing and streaming eyes.
Always amazes me that those the first to complain about pollution and additives will then deliberately fill their homes with VOC emitting devices, wash their clothes in chemicals that purposely continue to emit chemicals for hours and lather and spray who knows what onto their bodies and into their hair.

Is the new tablet dapafligozin as hubby started a few months ago after being on same meds for 20 years and itβs done wonders for his bloods ?
Gocat I buy worming tablets and fleastuff on Amazon for my black lab. Much cheaper and no prescription needed π. Btw at my vets the weighing scales are in the waiting area, I can pop in with my dog and have him weighed anytime.
Poundsinbucks x
Hi. What flea and worm stuff do you get please. Yeah same in my vets, scales are just as you walk in but she still says she has to see the animal every year or so as its the law or something.

Oh Sue. So sorry.
My Mum was petrified of going into a home but once she realised it was the only option and that she had a single room, she settled really quickly and was so happy!

Sue, so sorry you are in that predicament. I only hope you can get the help you need in making the right decision.
As for air fresheners, we simply do not use them. They can be dangerous for the birds, especially ones with essential oils.
Almost feel guilty for this with Sue's problems, but OH had a fantastic day, he actually took a couple of steps on the parallel bars Have to admit, I was close to bursting into tears. Where's the jumping up and down smiley when you need it
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
