Guess who's rushing around trying to find what he needs for his trip?
I was sure I'd printed it all off, but can't find it so found / printed it all again - Embarkation Form, Insurance, GHIC, Train Pass, Money (WiFi has given me some spending money), plus some Euros. Will finish off tomorrow before I'm offski.
Thank you all for the bungalow links and tips
Had a medical appointment today by video link - was ok, but now I have to have a face-to-face appointment.
I reckon the sad face was from Rosie, because Tweet didn't buy her something tasty from Tesco!

Did you see Sophie from Romania on bbc news yesterday ?
If anyone has a macerator at home, do not put blue paper down it as yesterday my grandson was cleaning his trainers in the downstairs loo, and I gave him 2 handfuls to use, when he had finished I told him to chuck them it down the loo…..but shock horror it completely stopped the macarator from working, had to call Homeserve who charge an excess to come out, but not for a whole week😳 DH was not very pleased with me. Anyway had some macerator cleaner in the shed which i poured down and left overnight, and thank goodness it did the job so all is OK now. Did not realise that blue paper cannot even be put into recycling bags as it is not recyclable.
It’s always been known ( by me anyway🤣) that blue towel of any sort whether it’s hand towels or in the old days toilet rolls when they were popular would block toilets and drains. Where I work there would be a choice of towels to use for various things and they had to put a notice up stating that blue towel’s were not to be flushed . Must be the dye that’s used .
It's not the dye. It's the way it doesn't break down. Used to have loads of problems at work if people flushed it down the loo!
Don't put anything other than the obvious and toilet roll down the loo.
I remember once ours having to get unblocked by the water sewerage company on the end of the street - all sorts down there from wipes to cotton buds 😡🤬
This blue paper has got me thinking... When was the last time anyone saw coloured toilet paper in the supermarket?
I remember as a child pink, blue(although very light in colour),green, peach and if you were boring white.
I think the last one to disappear was probably the peach one...I can remember buying that when we were first married...it never went with the colour scheme but was really cheap so that might have been the beginning of it being discontinued.
I can also remember the wonderful avocado suite we had in the bathroom when we bought our house and the absolute joy at buying a white one.
All these years later and I often see coloured suites in the reclamation places and wince at the prices. When we renovated one property we took out the blue stone bath really carefully with the intention of selling it but dropped and chipped it getting it down the stairs...it would have funded the new bathroom bits but sadly was not to be.
Not so long ago. We sold our last house in 2006 and always had pale blue toilet paper in the en-suite - to match the pale blue suite. Never had any problem finding blue toilet paper.
with all this talk of toilet paper, I'll just leave this with you...who remembers IZAL in the school toilets (shudder) and cut up sheets of newspaper hanging on a string in an outside privvy?
It’s recycled for industrial use only and can’t go down an ordinary loo(I buy a lot of it for the works). As a previous owner of a macerator I’d be VERY wary of putting much down it at all and I used the hot water and biological washing powder method many a time with a lot of success but you have to be very patient.
Oh thanks wendy, but what exactly is the hot water and bio powder method please. On the instructions for my macerator it said nothing should be used on it except the dedicated cleaner which is very expensive, am annoyed as was forced to have this in the extension by the building regs, despite there being a normal loo on the same side of the house only about 12 feet away.
If it’s a saniflo or similar you can add powder bio washing poweder to the bowl and carefully add hot water into the middle until the outside part of the loo feels warm. Leave for about two hours then flush or pour more warm in until it’s clear. Never use scalding hot water or you could crack the toilet.

My nans house had newspaper cut up ….even worse the toilet was outside 😁 Never mind blue toilet roll. We had blue bums that’s for sure.

Yes the only toilet at my grandma's house was outside and had the cut up newspaper squares.
The best thing to do with that awful IZAL was stick a sheet over a comb and blow through it to make 'music', or it was pretty useful as tracing paper - it was absolutely hateful for its intended purpose. How they had the nerve to call it 'toilet tissue' is beyond me, it was more like a pan scourer!
We had Izal in sheets and a square box. My parents said it was because I was a serial toilet roll spinner at about two years old but I think it was cheaper as soft loo roll was new in the early 60s.
