I would never have put the fixtures, fittings or architecture or even decor as being his style ...but I guess a little bit of my teenage pocket money possibly went towards the purchase of it.
I wonder how much it actually costs to maintain...i'd happily apply for the job as gardener/housekeeper if the job came live in.
And with my rental head on...the EPC being a C rating is good going for a property of that age and size!

Life is a strange thing, just when you think you've learned how to use it, it's gone
the decor influences look a lot more Sam Smith than Boy George to me! If you've seen some of his videos you'd probably understand why - strange 'fisherthem' that they are
Sorry Wendy...I may have missed the croissants earlier but wonder if you could chuck a few eggs this way so I can throw together a couple of omlettes for later this evening. I think they will go well with wine...it's either that or we may have to rely on Mog bringing in another chicken .....
Still no idea which neighbour we deprived of a meal last week.
Those eggs have just been collected from my chickens so enjoy xx (They’re extra tasty as they rarely get their layers mash but eat like kings (queens)with the Olio overs and love a bit of bread and milk too) x
Just had to argue with the doctors receptionist to get a blood test after more than a year ! I’m on thyroxine, hrt & blood pressure meds also have kidney disease and an inflammatory disease which means I’m supposed to have one every three months !!!

Rottweiler. Brings to mind here.
OH didn't believe me when I moaned about ours. He and another lady were waiting outside our surgery 5 mins before they opened, standing in torrential rain so they decided to go in through the side door. Receptionist went absolutely ballistic with them both. He came home really annoyed and said how dreadful they were both treated. 😁🤣
Don't these staff realise that they are dealing with poorly peeps. 😕
Thanks silvercar, yes we got a final response and we rejected their final offer, they sent paperwork to go to Ombudsman. We are so upset at the way they treated us but so much going on im dreading constantly fiting to make them take owenership. They have admitted fault at least. Xx
Good morning, another beautiful day here, we had low fog last few days, it was difficult to cycling in, but yesterday's run was beautiful it makes it seem so eery and quiet and loving running round the lake. So sorry your suffering mazworld I hope you get recompensed for what you will need for the future, I know money won't make it better.Hubbys back on chemo and should finish next month then cystoscopy every 3 months. We had awful problems with our bank, and we had to go to the Ombudsman if anyone has been and can offer any help/advice I'd appreciate it please feels very daunting. Totaly missed the asda glitch, wel done to those who got it,life gets in the way of glitching lol. I'd love to have some crossints wendyyak but need a run 1st, hope catch some when I'm back. a great day xx
Sorry life is tough.
Have you exhausted the bank's internal complaint procedure? I think you need a position of deadlock or a failure to resolve after X (8 or 12 ?) weeks. If so, then the ombudsman procedure should be straight forward, at least it should be organised in a way that makes it easy to follow.
Thanks strawberry more good advice. I've documented everything, so many emails & phonecalls already. I've requested everything they have on our account as the incompetence is unbelievable from so many people in so many different departments. I spoke to the Ombudsman and they have expedited our case as 4-6 month waiting list, but because its now had to go to their top advisor as way above the lady i spoke to we will have to wait for them to contact us again. Its started the ball rolling at least, realy could of done without all the stress and hassle as no amount of Money can make up for that. Thansk for the replies and best wishes guys it's good to come here and get things off my chest. There are people far worse off than us, and reading on here alone daily life for lots is a a struggle so gently hugs to all who needs them. I spent today tidying the shed and getting bits ready for ur move...... hopefully. Xx
So Estate agents have backtracked and said they never told us anything about drains and septic tank. We have asked for a reduction of £4 000 considering works could cost £8 000.00 the owners have come back and said they will only reduce by £2 000.00.... we are not sure what to do now.

Seems to me you were willing to meet them in the middle after their deception and they’re taking the proverbial by trying to get you to shoulder 75% of the cost.

Without going back on post here. Did you make a full offer on this property originally?

No we offered less, they had few offers of same as ours, but we were sold and others werent.

I don’t expect you to say how much. But what sort of percentage? If the percentage was not huge I personally think you should stick it out for a while anyway. Give yourself time to take a breath perhaps. Nightmare for you.
Its a very tough one sarahdol75. We had to not push for a reduction aftet finding lots that need replacing updating and i only did it because of our situation and we really want this house. I do think the estate agents & people your buying from are pushing it as you had no knowledge. I would try and pull their bluff and book other houses on with the same estate agent as your offer of £4,000 was more than anyone would of been estatic with considering they hid this from you, bt you need to weigh up if its worth it for YOU. Best of luck lovely you will get there in the end xx

Bottom line is deciding if you really love the house. If you do then the £2k you are arguing over will seem very small in say 10 years time. Obviously, argue for a bigger reduction now, but I wouldn’t walk away if you really want it.
Sorry everyone, I'm away again and haven't been keeping up. But I wanted to thank everyone who voted for Marley: www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgl40ylxv5o – he has just won the cat of the year award!! Thank you so much for helping that to happen.

How much do you love this house? 6k is a good holiday if you love it so much don't let it put you off, if you're not feeling it go with your gut and don't buy it xx

The house was on for £650 000 we got it for £582 000.00
The agents told us the drains were in good working order, survey been done no problems found.
OH is in the building trade so he knows what needs doing in regards to the house, yet is needs modernising but we are happy with that..
What we are not happy about is the fact that the survey has faults which they have then said we agreed to not have them repaired.
