I would say personal injury as you have a lifelong condition caused by this.
Thanks wendyak
They will help you and you will need paperwork but it’s fairly straightforward and they will do it all. Don’t ever take the first offer and always seek a second opinion. I went through this with hubby and even the insurance company urged us to settle on a figure which I knew to be too low . I went with my instinct and got more than they suggested and all they said was “you were lucky” ….. “no, we were brave “ Life can be a fight but your elite friends are here to support and guide you xxxxx

Aww thanks hun, still feeling a bit crap to be fair but angry as well!
Morning gang As I’m fist up I’d better make the teas and coffee. Today there are a mountain of croissants in every flavour so tuck in and those that are starved I can do a bacon or sausage baguette all courtesy of Olio, lol.
I might sneak back to bed for a bit … this is far too early for me. I’ve browsed every online store, checked the banking and looked on the news and faceache…. Snooze it is x
Due to going traffic works and caught with a customer. I arrived home almost two hours late. Not great for a Monday.
2 of my team are already leaving for other jobs. What we do wasn't what they expected and the endless delay for wfh has pushed them on
So yesterday I pinned an answer to when wfh for me and also took the usually longer scenic route home.
Came home very much mote refreshed than Monday.
Carpet guy had been for measurements and gave a price what didn't match what I thought it would be from the guy in the store so gonna speak to him this morning and roofing guy also was here about bit on roof I want done. So waiting on that quote too
I'm literally measuring my shifts in jobs to do lol 😆
I hope everyone's OK. Thanks for the coffee wendyak, need the energy for sure
Need to make myself presentable for a couple of plumbers. Got Mr Kiplings to keep them going (out of date, doubt they will notice 😂). Just hope I've got enough sugar in for the amount of coffee's they consume 😬.
Good morning, another beautiful day here, we had low fog last few days, it was difficult to cycling in, but yesterday's run was beautiful it makes it seem so eery and quiet and loving running round the lake. So sorry your suffering mazworld I hope you get recompensed for what you will need for the future, I know money won't make it better.Hubbys back on chemo and should finish next month then cystoscopy every 3 months. We had awful problems with our bank, and we had to go to the Ombudsman if anyone has been and can offer any help/advice I'd appreciate it please feels very daunting. Totaly missed the asda glitch, wel done to those who got it,life gets in the way of glitching lol. we have had our chimney capped with a plastic washing up bowl for the last 40 years, served us very well noticed a bit of damp on the chimney breast, said washing up bowl had finally given up got a chap to look at the problem, he prescribed a new bowl pronto emergency trip into town to purchase same, only red available. Looks very festive now! OH was in charge of proceedings, poor man had to ask for a cup of coffee, as none was offered, and certainly no Mr Kiplings some tradesmen get spoilt have a good day all LJx
Nice sunny start to the day here and pleasant enough temperature wise, at least I was able to go without a coat on my walk this morning unlike last week!. Can see a few dark clouds on the horizon so don't know if it is going to rain later, hope not.
I wonder if any of the elite could help me please.
A few years ago I won a pair of pink shopmium sunglasses. Recently on his D of E hike my son generously lent them to someone who proceeded to lose them. My son is gutted as he really loved these sunglasses. I don't suppose anyone still has a pair of these sunglasses kicking around in a draw that are not used? I've bought him other pink sunglasses but they are not the same. He was just trying to be nice when he lent them out not considering that others wouldn't look after them in the way that he had. I guess he learned a life lesson! It would be amazing if I could track down another pair of shopmium ones for him. I'm happy to pay. I've also contacted shopmium direct to see if they can help. Thanks

Sorry life is tough.
Have you exhausted the bank's internal complaint procedure? I think you need a position of deadlock or a failure to resolve after X (8 or 12 ?) weeks. If so, then the ombudsman procedure should be straight forward, at least it should be organised in a way that makes it easy to follow.

Agree with this that silvercar has said. Exaust the banks complaint procedure by giving them a deadline to respond to your complaint or issue a letter of deadlock.
Once you have the letter of deadlock you can raise it with the ombudsman. I've not done a banking ombudsman complaint but I will admit to being a frequent user of the utilities ombudsman and not lost a case yet! The procedures are likely to be the same where you set out your case with documented evidence and its then taken forward on your behalf. If you do go down the ombudsman route make sure you ask for reasonable compensation not just for what the company may owe you but the time it has taken to pursue the case with them and document everything....its not unreasonable to ask for £50 for you time if the claim is financially based.
Today I am avoiding going out...i have the last of the sainsburys shop to do to get the 700 points and all i think I need is wine....a bottle for later...but I'm just pandering to a desire and really should stick to water.
2 flats are currently up for rent ...one went live on Friday last week and has generated 95 enquiries and ive booked 28 appointments to view....currently ploughing through those in the evenings with OH...hence the need for wine when we finally arrive home...and the 2nd flat went live yesterday and already has 45 enquiries and I'm trying to work out who to book for viewing and when to squeeze those in.
I genuinely have never know the housing situation to be this bad where so many people are chasing so few properties...complete madness.

Men are like dustbins. 😳
Morning all. Stressed already, let me know if anyone is opening wine later.
This is used where the Seller of the property has no personal knowledge of the property. This is most often used in the case of a sale by an Attorney, the Executor of an Estate, where the property has been repossessed or by a Trustees or a Personal Representative.
The person selling cannot guarantee that the property is not subject to any financial charges, nor can they guarantee whether there are any rights over the property or give information on what rights there could be. They are unable to confirm whether there are any covenants which may affect the property.
...
A thorough investigation of title is essential before an auction or private treaty purchase circumstances where only limited or no title guarantee is offered to decide whether the Buyer should take out defective title insurance or whether there are any incurable title defects.
Can you take out insurance?
What does your solicitor advise??
Our solicitor is now on holiday and the secretary has just reiterated what is above, so a bit unsure on what to do.
Not sure about insurance I will have to ask about that tomorrow.
Not quite the same but when I sold my mums property there were missing certificates for the double glazed windows, as in when front ones were installed and no FENSA guarantees for others as weren’t installed by a company. I had to pay about £100 in insurance in the event that they were ever condemned if inspected as not up to regulations.
I assume there would be many other types of indemnity insurance for other scenarios. I do hope you get everything sorted.
DD3 haven’t found another suitable property yet. Their MIP runs out soon too not sure implications of that.
Thanks all, did get back to sleep and only woke at nine as son arrived and woke the sleeping dog (read tiger)at my feet. There’s still more croissants so just had a couple shared with the pooches, please help yourself as no freezer room and they’re too nice for chickens.
Sorry Wendy...I may have missed the croissants earlier but wonder if you could chuck a few eggs this way so I can throw together a couple of omlettes for later this evening. I think they will go well with wine...it's either that or we may have to rely on Mog bringing in another chicken .....
Still no idea which neighbour we deprived of a meal last week.

Home Ins Legal Cover are asking if I want to go after TUI (parasite caught in 5 star hotel in Mexico) for "personal injury" or "breach of contract" Any ideas? I would have thought they'd tell me that?
What you have to be careful about with Tui, they will, in no particular order, ignore your communication, use online complaints line, ignore your communication, we have got your communication and will respond in 28 days etc, don't hear from them, you write, they ignoree, they offer compo in the form of Tui vouchers (DO NOT ACCEPT THESE), carry on ignoring you until you email the ceo (s*bastian.ebel@tui.c*m) and 'threaten' legal action, write a bad review on Trust Pilot, wait till you've knocked your head through a brick wall! If all else fails with them ignoring you, go to the small claims court.

Years ago I was at an event and met someone who had something similar, it took years but they ended up very comfortable with the compensation (it was life altering)
I complained when OH booked the hotel from hell for my 50th to booking.com. They initially offered £10 off my next purchase with them. I ended up getting every penny back and a donation to charity of my choice.... I made a point that I wouldn't allow a penny of my money to go towards the hotel or them, and that whilst they owed compensation, I didn't want to profit, hence the charity.
