Sorry no idea about your metal fish I have a plastic fish mould which I use for salmon mousse It always looks impressive You can cover it with very finely cut cucumber slices to resemble scales
Morning I'll have some toast and jam. Its chilly this morning.
I didn't see much of yesterday taking naps and was sleeping before 8.
I am feeling a little better this morning though. I'm gonna not drive at all this weekend. I don't really have much plans other than catching up with little miss at some point. As she was on lates last week so we didn't see her.
MR BB continued his sorting out of the house this week which included the gutters and tiles on the roof. Getting rid of moss. Done by fashioning extending rods and a scraper. I didn't ask. Took hours over a few days. Next door who drive us crazy with their noise, likely didn't appreciate it but hey had to be done apparently.
Loving the runner TM, Mrs Mac is a sweetheart, and can't help but offer support ❤
lallipickle I agree with your comments about money to kids etc. I'm just happy to be able to help my lot out. It's probably better not to count it. We can't take it with us and I'd rather spend what spare I have making their lives better now not when I'm not here. Just my opinion what people choose to do is up to them.
I laugh cause there was no way I was ever getting an inhertitance, unless all those vodkas and pints that were bought all over town by my parents were shares 😅 as if.
Sunny but brrrr, it's cold out there this morning. Currently reading only 4 degrees on the outside thermometer. Bit of an unexpected, and unwarranted, shock to the system!
That runner is lovely TM and I agree it needs something 'fishy' in the centre to really set it off.
Hope everyone is well and happy and ready to enjoy their weekend. Have a great day all
Solicitor sent over title deeds and fixtures and fittings etc for us to look over and sign all documents.
On the survey for the septic tank they had serviced in May, we were told by the agents that is working and in good order.
The survey says differently, saying its got parts missing and falling apart and needs renewing at a cost of between £8 000 and £12 000 plus VAT.
On the solicitors enquiries she has asked the sellers if the faults found have been rectified and the sellers have said no not been rectified as this has been discussed and agreed with your clients.........well it hasnt been agreed with us we were told it was serviced and all good in working order.
Did anyone get the IKEA email today advertising new products ? The sofa bed looks great for a small area but the storage cupboards looked too good to be true at £400 ……. Of course it was as there’s three units in the picture so it’s £1200. Why can’t they be transparent about their prices ?
Mum is still in hospital. Staff want her to go in a nursing home but Mum won't consider it, so they are saying she must have two carers at least 4 times a day and there seems to be some difficulty finding a care team. Originally said she was going to be sent home last week, but keeps being delayed. I am exhausted. Haven't had a single day off since the beginning of February. Today have mad coming to Mums house to fix side gate which has fallen off before I go to the hospital.
I have been reading about all your successes, trials and tribulations and love it when things turn out right.
Have a good weekend.
mrsmac I hope you are fully recovered from your Liverpool break. Did you complain about being put up in the back of beyond?

Oh Sarah
i swear I'm never moving house. Just reading the stuff going on here on this forum is enough to put you off for life😳🥴😐😒
Lifted up all the onions and tidied up the beds they were in.
Just had a lovely cheese omelette for lunch and now ready to start on the lavender which needs cutting back. I know that I shouldn't touch the hydrangeas but they are so heavy that they are almost bent over touching the ground blocking the paths.
