Not bad thanks he looked really tired, Mum said did you sleep last night or got to a disco 🤣 he said seriously i slept 😂 ordered him some fidget toys while we was there, he had them in the hospital but they have not given them to him here and he kept playing with the emergency cord and wrapping it round his hand in the week, so now that has been removed. But now it's the light switch 🤣🤣that can't be removed (obviously ) we asked him why and he said it's a habit .
But the womn from the hospital rang Mum up about going to asses if a hospital bed will fit! Mum said 1) he will not sleep in that, he will want to sleep with me, we have tried before and he just shouts me all night! 2) I am not having him home, no matter how much i want him home, he cannot walk! 3) I will never manage him
Thanks for asking 😍
Awe bless him hope he gets the fidget toys given him
Does anyone know whether Argos vouchers and Nectar points can be used in conjunction when purchasing an item from Argos please ? I’ve searched but cannot find the answer
Who remembers pie funnels? In the shape of a blackbird.
Does anyone use one nowadays?
Mum had a Pyrex small dome one
Yeah I remember, never used one but picked up a Blackbird at a carboot years ago. I wouldn't have paid much as I was buying n selling back then, I knew they were designed by Clarice Cliff, just checked the bay and this one stood out, I'm sure I have the yellow one kicking about somewhere or did have
Have popped upstairs but returned, sitting on my hands, yes I would like some wine but the more I have in the house the more I drink, some people have that problem with chocolate 😂
😬😬😬
is there anywhere in the whole wide world that you can get a discount for Premier inns?
sorry that's not just aimed at you rusty😂😂
Not sure about discount, this is the only thing I've seen recently
I haven't been spending much time online, and I hate just dipping in so I've only just caught up on all your news.
Blimey some of you lot have good memories; yes we do have a Japanese bath! I wouldn't recommend ours for anyone with mobility issues though. It's very high and I have to concentrate when getting in and out 😂. Mr FW has made a wooden step to aid getting out the bath for visitors. It'd be fine if you could sink it into the floor....or built a little staircase 😂.
I can't remember when I last posted here! In the end we spent two months in Turkey, driving east. We climbed Mt Ararat at over 5000m which was a fantastic trip. Although a bit scary at one point when I found big bear prints in the snow just 20 metres from our tent!! Then we spent two weeks in Georgia, and we arrived in Armenia yesterday. We've been having an amazing time, doing lots of hiking and sightseeing. There is so much beautiful scenery here. Last night we were sat outside our tent and could hear jackals howling. We're planning on spending around 6 weeks in Armenia.
Free delivery over £35. I've used them several times over the years and have received good service.
Very kind of you to reply sirrus🤗🤗
yes this company was on my radar but last time I looked they stocked only one flavour and I knew it was too much to order of the same taste. Plus it was a high spend to get the free delivery. I'll keep checking but thank you for the reminder. A very helpful first post🤗
I wasn't around yesterday as I got caught up in shenanigans.
Mr TM had sold some bike wheels and was meeting up with the buyer at the Metro Centre. As rain stopped play for me,I trotted off with him. Traffic was horrendous there and back and what should have been a short return trip took up us hours😖😖😖
I decided to make the journey worthwhile and called in at Sains to get the discounted wine. I used the £2 off the Maison du vin on COS and I had 3 wines with nectar points . I threw in a cheap Prosecco for good measure. It was only when I got home that I realised I had forgotten to save my nectar points.
I packed the wine in in my nylon shopper bags and wedged them in the boot. On the way back we had to make an emergency stop and there was an almighty crash. The most expensive bottle had broken🫤. The base of the bottle had fractured clean off. Amazingly the entire contents of the wine stayed put in my nylon shopper until I lifted it out of the car, at which point it emptied all over me. Ye Gods. I stank like a brewery..
so I'm now up at silly o clock so I don't miss a single minute of the glorious sunshine outside🤗🤗🤗
Im chuffed to bits with those tiny little chock pots from T on GJ. Does anyone want to add any ideas for what to freeze in very small amounts in the freezer. They have great little sealed lids🤔😀
Lovely and fresh out there this morning, seem to have got rid of that humidity which was making it feel so unpleasant. I've been for a very long and enjoyable walk, watched a deer herd grazing for a bit then saw a couple of young fox cubs having a bit of a tussle. Mama fox did not look impressed
Made a start on some jobs in the garden as well and just come in for first coffee of the day before going back out to attack some weeds!
Lovely to hear about your adventures freewheeling, it sounds amazing!
Hope everyone has a great day whatever you are doing

So for I'm thinking herbs and lemon juice.
Any more ideas?
Morning all.
I don’t know quite how big they are but I use little pots all the time in the freezer: single egg whites, small portion meat to add to stir fries, apple sauce, reduced home made stock, pâté, hummus…

Can I say I would love to be that good Even with big bits of leftovers I stuggle to reuse If I batch cook I am ok with using up 10 portions of stew/ chilli etc Leftovers that are not next days lunch are the problem
I meal plan, write a shopping list and I am trying (again) to get a freezer emptied whilst I have chucked various things that I know are not going to get used ever Maybe this month

Garlic and wine(reduced) for when you only need a dash in a recipe?
Pastes and pestos where you don’t want to use the whole jar?
Well jealous of freewheeling it sounds wonderful.🏕️🥾
Think I've talked myself out of Gousto, looked at their menu and just needed inspiration. And I've decided to invest in better ice cube trays then I won't want to buy ice or an ice maker🤞
Currently use nature valley and strawberry Alpen for cereal bars but often think about swapping them out for protein bars. I don't think mine eat for the energy though, more to take time out at work.
NB Alpen have just gone up to £1.25 in Sains but still £1 on Amazon.
