If anyone has experience using the National Art Pass, pls let me know. Do they mail you a physical card or is it al done via email? Is there a code you get given to get the 50% off when booking visits? It would pay for itself if it all works but donβt want to risk it if you have to wait to get a physical card π¬.
Today I went to the waste not pop up to see if I could have any manky left over fruit for the tortoises... I didn't want to take away from those that needed this. It was amazing, encouraged to have beautiful(to a π’) over ripe fruit, salad stuff, then had frozen bakery & huge peonies thrust on me βΊοΈ just for a donation π
ππΆ I read out the helpful answers to Mother, but at the moment they are still stuck in the jars....
Tbh if theyβre still in jars Iβd just add hot milk and present them as cupfuls at the next opportunity. Canβt overdose on Horlicks (as far as I know) and it takes something off your mental to do list.
PSA: energy prices are going down tomorrow (unless you are on a fixed deal), so Martin is advising people to send a meter reading today/ tomorrow/ whenever. Also if you have a prepayment meter you should add a small sum tomorrow to switch you over to the cheaper rate.
Hi all, hugs to everyone Re the prices lowering, my bill was estimated last month and was under estimated so if I donβt put a reading in i will pay a lower price on the extra units I used.
Good morning! Cannot believe I am first one up! π Coffee and weetabix cheesecake for brekkie anyone? Parkrun next here πββοΈ.
I did buy the National Art Pass last night, 3 months for me and OH for Β£20. Will take upto 10 days to get cards, but with 1 or 2 visits should pay for itself, so thank you mhoc for posting π
I've splashed out on a jar of marmalade, originally 60p it was 90p a couple of months ago, now Β£1.05 π±
After working my way through the batch lady modules etc. I shall use some ideas but not the main principal. I only have a small freezer, I have plenty of time and I feel weird about reheating food for their main meal. π
I did have a fail this week π¬ the white bread sandwiches frozen for madams packed lunch absorbed the newly chopped onions smell. π« DH will eat them though so not completely wasted.
Shopping for packed lunches is easier now I have re-accustomed myself to cost per item. I aim for 20p on crisps and biscuits and apples.
The main meal is harder as the spices we've been using are expensive and I'm seriously considering Gousto again.
Does anyone still use Gousto? Is the quantity and quality as good as last year? Green Chef got really tight with their quantities whereas we've only just finished the feta cheese blocks we got with Gousto.
Today is using up the bread flour, adding relish to the burgers that were on offer with the beer, doing something with day old strawberries, washing if it clears and playing catch up with family. Enjoy.
Obama, love your parakeets! The yellow one though π₯°, we had loads last year but not seen any since the spring. Come to think of it not seen any bats this summer yet either.
Not sure where to post this but if your morries has a cafe hopefully they'll have these π
Thanks to Star Freebies ππ»

Could not believe how busy my parkrun was this morning. It is usually busier first one of the month as they have pacers, but carpark was rammed today. Turns out it was the 666th one here today πππ so lots more people, quite a few in fancy dress ππ. All good fun.
Not bad thanks he looked really tired, Mum said did you sleep last night or got to a disco π€£ he said seriously i slept π ordered him some fidget toys while we was there, he had them in the hospital but they have not given them to him here and he kept playing with the emergency cord and wrapping it round his hand in the week, so now that has been removed. But now it's the light switch π€£π€£that can't be removed (obviously ) we asked him why and he said it's a habit .
But the womn from the hospital rang Mum up about going to asses if a hospital bed will fit! Mum said 1) he will not sleep in that, he will want to sleep with me, we have tried before and he just shouts me all night! 2) I am not having him home, no matter how much i want him home, he cannot walk! 3) I will never manage him
Β£7 seems extortionate to me for 10 little bars!Β Are they only for cyclists then?Β π€£
It is extortionate Josie but the cheapest I've seen in ages. Half the price of Amazon. I usually get excited when I look on eBay and see them for a fiver and quickly realise it's only one barπ±π± There was a box the other week that I bid on and they went for Β£17.99. It makes no sense at all. I make flap jacks, I buy flapjacks, I buy protein bars when they are on offer but these are the bees knees. A one bite snack good for when you are racing.
Sorry, but think I'll pass. We'll stick with Nature Valley on Nectar Price π
