Ok just jumping in on the conker laundry detergent idea with some info that might make it all a little clearer. I know houseelf is already doing so please feel free to contribute he🤗🤗
Wash your conkers. Chop up 130g. Freeze the rest for later use. If they are freshly picked they cut with a sharp knife no problem. If they are "old" you need to smash them with a hammer. The shiney bright brown ones are the newer fresher ones. See the first photo to see the difference.
Scald your 130g conkers with 500ml boiling water, leave to soften. Then blitz and strain. Add a further 500ml and strain again.
Put in a jar.
It will keep for up to 5 weeks.
Put it straight into your machine in a cap. The one I have in the photo is a bit small I think. I've noticed that it's settled a bit so I'll have to give the jar a shake before I use it or strain it a third time. The used up mush can go on your compost heap.
You can add an essential oil. I haven't any. Could I add perfume?🤔🤔

I think you’d have to experiment with perfume because they tend to be designed to give the best scent at body temperature which might not be what you’re washing at. If you like your clothes to have a scent then I’d probably add it in the fabric conditioner section of the tray rather than the wash or kind of ‘febreeze’ it later.
If you like fruity smells then we soak lemon and lime zest in vinegar that we use in spray bottles for cleaning. It could work for washing too but I haven’t tried. Definitely strain it first though.
Thanks for your reply. I am up for anything new. Am a bit slow at times but I get there. I have an iphone4 and my other half an Android phone but I will look on hukd. It`s about time I bought a new phone instead of having handmedowns but the tight g** (careful person) that I am it will be hard. Thanks again and take care. x
If you use it for cashback apps etc. the Xiaomi used to have a split screen so you can have two on the same app on the one phone. Handy for different accounts.
The newer more affordable Xiaomi models no longer have dual apps as far as I know which is a real shame. I know of 2 people who have bought within the last 6 months or so and their models do not have dual apps. No idea when Xiaomi stopped this.
Just remembering lalli.....I have some lavendar essential oil somewhere🤔
Surprised you don’t also have tea tree. I think we were fledged with a bottle of lavender and one of tea tree oil many tens of years ago. I still have a few in the cupboard somewhere. Master definitely stole one for his sleep station to go along with the magnesium tablets/lotion, I think both boys had a bottle to put in their hepa when they had covid because with the lack of sense of smell they dosed it so strong that we could smell it coming down the road.
I don’t really know much about essential oils other than they’re really expensive and you have to be very careful with them because most need diluting. Lavender and tea tree are some of the few that don’t. Maybe clove oil too but I’m not sure you’d want that on your clothes 😂
After a very frustrating week of waiting to organize my mum's funeral I've finally made progress today. The hold up was the GP surgery which failed to send the relevant paperwork to the registrar so that I could register the death,I finally have an appointment next Monday and can then book the funeral.

Also, essential oils can be harmful to pets, especially birds.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
I loved Cracker, I recently re-watched every episode. Another year that marked the sad passing of some true legends. I just stumbled upon this pic, I hadn't seen it before.

Sorry to hear you’ve had such a delay. Hopefully the registrar is a simpler process. I’ve only done it once and it was a bit of a blur but it felt fairly straightforward if that makes sense.
If you’re dealing with closing bank accounts and probate and so on, try to get a fair few certificates if you can, because most places want an original or certified copy and it can take ages if you’re waiting for your one copy to come back before you send it to the next person.
Hugs if you want them, thinking of you nevertheless x

Indeed. I think lavender and tea tree are both also harmful to cats. As well as rosemary, tomato, thyme and basically everything I planted in the garden this year nothing is ever straightforward when you’re dealing with ‘alternative’ remedies

Oh magda, sending lots of love and virtual support your way❤️❤️

If you want something cheaper then go Android as iPhones are exorbitant in comparison plus then you have the built in obsolescence and battery issues which you won't get with a decent Android even one for £100. Xiaomi, Redmi and Motorola all do good value phones for around the £100 mark.
Worth looking at ComSav for extra discount if you don't already do it. See thread upstairs

I had to mess about with a Xiaomi Redmi 10 - and use another app to reenable dual apps. I just bought a Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro and happy to see (just checked) dual apps is there under apps.

When I had a Google a while back it said the more expensive phones still had dual apps. Family member got a 5G Note 10 but that doesn't have dual apps. Any idea which app you used to get dual apps please.
I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned (well I haven't seen it) on HUKD that some of the Xiaomis don't come with the option for dual apps as they have done in the past.
Came back was microswitch (which Internet told me) and some other stuff. Had showers thur night fine then tonight started doing it again. No pressure. Won't fill, he's put a weird tap thing on in place of a screw so not sure what to do about that. I'm guessing the no pressure is causing the clicking but as they broke it, they can fix it. I put a complaint in so its logged.
My Tower air fryer (like an oven) has wire trays and a dehydrator setting.
Thanks Picasso. I’ve had a look at the tower ones but I think for the amount of time they need to run, they will be too small to justify the cost. One review I saw compared it to being able to dehydrate 1 pineapple or 5 pineapples for the same cost/time. And the air fryer part is too small for us to use on a regular basis.
I was looking at the instant pot air fryer attachment a while back but apparently they don’t sell it here as a separate lid.
Good morning all.
Thanks Lalli. I’ve not really used the setting much and had no idea it was so expensive.
