Getting a bit worried. Everyone I know that has had 4th booster had a sore arm after. I never got anything. Hope they really did give me a jab lol. After the flu jab (week before) I got a sore arm for a few days.

I never got anything either gocat but I did get a bluntish needle which hurt at the time
Seriously? The needles are new and sterile, I can’t see how they could be blunt. More likely your arm wasn’t in a good position or you tensed or flinched as the needle went in.
I gave blood yesterday - lots of tapping & prodding to find the vein, but not a mark now I have "tricky" veins - so I usually end up with the head nurse, very glad of it after suffering a massive bruise one time.
anyway I digress - please if you can - give blood we are at amber alert for stocks of O-, this is the universal one - can be used in an emergency if they don't have time to match if blood stocks are low, operations will get cancelled - so please if you can book in now.

I'll never forget how happy I was when I saw my missus walking down the aisle. My heart was beating fast and the excitement was unbearable. It seemed to take an age but eventually there she was, stood beside me. I gave her a cheeky wink and said, "Get that trolley over here love, they're Doing 3 cases of lager for £21

My 79th donation is next week - my blood type is les sof use but they always find someone to use it somewhere in the North West - I have been in all of the best hospitals north of Birmingham
Last time I got a message with a map of the journey my blood took to the central sorting depot and beyond
Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others,or to diminish something of their pains
"Queen have revealed a previously unheard, deeply emotional song they recorded with Freddie Mercury in 1988. Face It Alone, which the late singer recorded during sessions for 1989 album The Miracle, was given its premiere by BBC Radio 2's Ken Bruce on Thursday. "We did find a little gem from Freddie, that we'd kind of forgotten about," drummer Roger Taylor said about the track in June. "It's wonderful, a real discovery. It's a very passionate piece."
I am not allowed do give blood but am very grateful to those who do. I got a *few* transfusions after hip ops 4 and 5 I believe I also have slightly unusual requirements in that it needs to have antibody “s” but I may be wrong
Just watched a video of how to make brown sugar for cooking on FB . Use granulated sugar plus treacle Nancy Britwhistle on video. Looks great
Never heard of anyone doing that
A few American YouTubers I watch make it from white sugar and molasses. No idea what molasses are but I have a jar that came cheap from an Approved foods deal and I’m just waiting to use up the current brown sugar to try it. I’d love to just be able to make what we need for a recipe because this one bag of brown sugar has kept us going for almost three years so far and it’s so much work keeping it soft!

I'm off work today and I'm going to tackle my glut of vegetables, visit a National Trust property and family we haven't seen in ages. I also going to sort out my conkers and get to grips with overload of info on solar panels.
Perhaps I need a week off.😂😂

when you have done this can you share your findings.......please
I don't have the headspace for it at the moment, it was was one of the things we were doing as part of our renovations , before DH was made redundant
We are just about at the end of our tether and about to give up😕
we have had so much conflicting advice, hard sell and the latest quote wasn't even for us and. the salesman accused us of wasting HIS time. Some have claimed they take credit card and when it comes down to it they don't. Some have failed to give us recommendations when promised. Eon have offered a great price and interest free credit but read their reviews on trust pilot.😱😱 Local companies are not members of the relevant trade accredited bodies.

What the hell are my GP surgery doing texting me at 9pm reminding me to have a flu jab?
They get a bonus is they get so many of their eligible clients jabbed...Mine was texting on Sunday morning... I think your is texting after his/her tea and a bottle of wine!
Thank you for the reminder about giving blood. I’d rather hoped that the current crisis would lead them to relax restrictions but I can’t bring my next appointment earlier. I’m O+ so useful to them I think.
I found two new Woox smart plugs in the charity shop for £5 today and now Alexa will turn my printer off and on! But could someone explain what this means please? It has me totally stumped though I’m guessing it says not to use it on the TV!
I took a flask of very hot water with me today for coffee making. I didn't make much coffee, so I've now used the remaining water to fill my hot water bottle.

The doctor only texted me a week ago about something else, and added "Don't forget your flu jab, we've got some slots for tomorrow." I never have any jabs at the surgery, I feel there are likely to be less germs floating about at the pharmacy. I'll probably get it done next week. Still weighing up having another covid booster.

Just booked our Covid one. Given an 11 day gap between flu and Covid. For me hopefully more manageable.

They don’t want my blood 🙁 having had cancer. And OH now goes for bloodletting every 2 weeks to get iron levels down (very slowly!) and that goes down the drain 😭. Will remind DD in Wales to give blood 😉.
Same here cant give blood due to having had cancer. Shame as I'm O neg Use to give blood when I was younger. Very grateful to those that do give. Have had to had 3 blood transfusions in the past.
Got surprise visit this afternoon. VM coming to collect old hub etc. as its been changed over to my name so gave me new hub and some TV thingie. Luckily I still had the old ones. Was going to get rid of as been over a month since new one installed. Didnt receive any email or text or anything letting me know. But after she had scanned the hub etc, she wanted to check my email address and showed me OH's email address I was like no wonder I didnt know you were arriving and also VM had been informed of OH passing. Really wish they would get their act together.

At least both at the GP and at the pharmacy they should be done by professionals rather than a volunteer sticking it in the wrong part of the arm! (SIRVA)
I'm thinking lunchtime is the best time for me at least to have a booster, if I do, as my side effects seem to kick in about 5 or 6 hours later which means I can have a bath to get warm and just go to bed and hopefully sleep the worst off. Similarly trying to decide whether to have this one or not.
So, excitement yesterday…..Resident Teen brought the gf over. She didn’t speak. If only she was that quiet when she is on the phone in the middle of the night 🤣🤣🤣
Two big meetings today😱
Don’t people realise I haven’t got time for this? I need to go to Iceland. I have to catch up on all the free curry’s everyone has been getting 🤣
