Forgot to ask, I need to buy a new actifry as mine broke & I am missing it as used it a couple of times a week. Has anyone got the 2 in 1 and can you cook chips at the same time as chicken on the tray? DD usually puts chips in actifry and chicken nuggets in oven which does not help electric bill. Thanks in advance.
I’ve got this instead of the normal air fryer. DB, a friend and I swear by it. I got it much cheaper than this via Wish or AO or somewhere.
I particularly love the rotisserie function. It only takes small chickens/joints but it does them quickly and beautifully.

I have this one too! I don't eat meat but love the way it cooks everything else. Can't remember when I last turned the oven on.
Mr TM has been listening to the soothing doggie music on Classic FM to ease firework anxieties.
It's driving me bonkers😕 I feel stressed😂😂😂
Called in at Marksies to pick up a click and collect and found a basket of cheap aubergines 🍆🍆🍆😳
I may have bought the full lot of them.... we have a strange version of aubergine parmigiana in our house....garlic, aubergine and chopped toms.... cooked on a low heat for ages, occasionally stir.... when it is a thick paste, it is done. We have it as a side, or in sandwiches, on toast etc.... it is the dish that the kids always ask is cooked when they come home. Get cooking girl x
And another thing ... in soap operas, I can live with the far fetched serial killer/murder/"stable relationship but most are cheating" storylines, but how come people who are supposedly completely skint spend all their time in the pub/cafe and shop in the corner shop not the supermarket 🤔. I'm all for storylines, but some things stretch realism too far 😬.
And why does no one spend any time out shopping, chasing bargains or just watching the television on a weekend evening ... or is that just my life?

I find myself questioning how people survive when they fall out of spaceships/the doors are open with zero gravity, but happy to accept them flying to far off galaxies 😂.

🤗🤗🤗
I use my main oven loads less too and also like the air fryer’s dehydration function. Today I dried whoopsied basil, crumbled and froze it. (Just in case I hadn’t dried it properly.) I’ve done the same with whoopsied cherry tomatoes.

Have you seen the latest James Bond? I was in fits of laughter during his car chase all done without a seat belt!
I forgot to mention the other day. Imdb have brought out a channel. You can get it on firesticks or if you have prime video app. It's a free channel and has lots of great box sets and films but has adverts.

Teaches all the young ones 😁 especially when the Soaps obviously think we’re all influenced by the storylines . Ie; Corrie and the air pollution. Eastenders with the vegan stuff😄
Don't talk to me about snoring lol. Unfortunately for me, it's the norm ...
Been up since before 6, just finishing the first coffee. Lurgy not much better today
Regarding air fryers - I might have to look for a Black Friday bargain, so if anybody spots one I'd appreciate the heads-up. They seem quite versatile from reading the comments here.

Morning!
Down the rabbit hole of air fryer envy!..........I have an Actify, it fits perfectly on a shelf in my kitchen......but it doesn't have a rotisserie, and I can see that you can buy gadgets such as a rotating kebab accessory, and it has a dehydrator function......😱
Anyway, had a lovely evening at a friends house last night. Bonfire themed food. No fireworks, but DD gave us a 'Fire' performance.
The dogs were quite happy, home alone, as DH put a log fire screensaver on the tv, and they snuggled up expecting warm bottoms!
A beautiful little girl on the breakfast news just literally made me cry. Her name is Milly and she wants to be an actress. She spent a day with Ian McKellen after he her saw her posing with a picture of him on social media. She was on telly with her Dad, talking about the day she spent with Ian McKellen, and how much she wants to be an actress. She was overflowing with positivity, and I was smiling throughout, and then she started talking about her parents and how much she loves them and they are her best friends. That's the point where I couldn't help but cry. Beautiful, loving, intelligent, and she also has Downs.
If you can catch the interview, you should. If they put it on the BBC News site later I'll post it here.
Yes my oven air fryer is fantastic and much easier to clean than my old one which had the pull out pan. Normally I’m very restrained about buying stuff I don’t need but I quickly donated my old one to a friend and bought this. I’ve not regretted that decision for a moment.
I had a good money-saving moment yesterday. My TV has been on the blink for a while - it won’t connect to the internet. The wired connection doesn’t work and it can’t find Wi-Fi. It’s been like that for a few weeks. (I’ve been reading instead and my ironing pile has grown.) I’d already tested the cable so it was either my Cat 5-e cables or the TV. Yesterday I finally brought the laptop downstairs and tested the wired connection. It was fine, which was a relief, so the problem was the TV. I glumly contemplated buying a new TV (this one cost about £40 in cash as it was on sale during double up 🤗) and rang DB. Five minutes later I’m running it through Now TV and the world is right again!!

Good morning all, light cloud around here and fairly mild.
Thank you for the cuppa Roma and the waffles ilovetoshop
Normal Sunday here, out for a walk in an hour or so then I have dinner to do. We are going to have a conversation about sharing the workload round here soon! I am so busy of a weekend it is ridiculous, spend the weekend working so I can work during the week if needed. I do get out during the week, but it is rather annoying when we get back from a full day's work, generally with me going up and down the stairs (the work is ALWAYS on the top floor!!!), he sits down doing whatever, I have to do the invoice, make dinner etc!
Anyway, less moaning, at least going up and down the stairs keeps me fit
Good evening, lovely Elite Welcome home, dear oldbill <3
Seeing Sleazy's post about the good old days of live music down the pub made me think back to when I used to sing at the open mic at the local back when I wasn't even supposed to be there. Me and my best friend were regulars when we were 15, a family friend ran the pub and he had a late music licence. My Mum use to phone and tell him to send me home, and he would shout out across the bar "Your Mum's on the phone, I told her you're staying at your mate's tonight". The good old days before mobiles
Anyway, this was one of the songs I used to sing. Looked it up on youtube, and the memories came flooding back. Talk about "Haven't heard it for ages"...
Right that's me no good now. What memories❤️❤️ This is a bit cryptic but I'm going to be playing that tune across the miles to the other side of the world this afternoon. All to be revealed later❤️❤️❤️
I also found a coupon code for £5 which works, so cost me £28.99 and I opted for free click & collect (email says I can pick it up anytime from now). Unfortunately TCB link didn't work, but I should also get 1% back on my CC.
Didn't really want to go out today, but need bread so will shuffle off to Sainsbury's shortly for that and a newspaper.
Tonight's food cooked - Yakisoba Noodles, to which I shall add some Tofu BBQ balls that I cooked yesterday. My better half can either have Tofu balls as well or add a meat protein source if she wants. For brekkie I made myself a big omelette with cheese, mushroom, onion and garlic, which I had in a couple of soft rolls. Rather nice comfort food

Air Fryers.
Someone mentioned being able to cook two things at once and this piqued my interest. We much prefer oven chips cooked in the actifry but normally do them in the oven because we have the oven on to cook the 'meat' part of the meal and can't justify then also running the actifry so if there were an air fryer that could do meat and chips at the same time, that would be ideal.

We like to watch Coronation Street and Emmerdale, but life often gets in the way, so we end up watching on catch up... you can end up with several huge issues in one binge. In Emmerdale, David and Victoria have had shooting and a major incident in the wilds (which resulted in a death)...very little signs of PTSD in sight!
We also moan at number and high use of places to get food/drink, and the cost.. when most people are in minimum paid work. We also moan at the wonderful clothes that they wear, most of the women have full faces of make-up, and extremely slim, and the affairs..... I think we enjoy moaning..... you can just image our house 'they just left home, and popped in to get a coffee to go at a price of £3...WTF'
