Anyone watching the Olympics? I was really enjoying the women’s triathlon the other night but fell asleep just after they started running, goodness knows what time this was, 3-4 am maybe. I’m glad 2024 will be in Paris.
I've just found loads of the Olympic channels on Eurosport, practically each sport on tv earlier. I have flicked through everything tonight and still couldn't find anything to watch.
The HUKD thread is showing a 20% off discount on Gr0upon, which may work on other deals too?
No guarantees as there is a risk of cashback cancellation when using voucher codes, but potentially 10% ComSav or 16% Q if this counts as Travel?
It is a effectively a breakdown insurance policy giving similar cover to AA/RAC.
Edit - Q are offering £30 Cashback bonus on breakdown policies on top of the normal cashback (45% for EAssist). Although the premium will be higher, it could work out better than free (alternatives providers also available).
Reminder. If you still have a Sun cinema ticket/s it/they can be booked for next week even though it says by tomorrow. + with meerkat Tuesday/Wednesday
Ya think? Talking about holidays trying to help another elite
Most of the conversation was about Covid restrictions on travel and therefore it is appropriate to the Covid thread where we were asked to keep anything Covid related.
Sorry if you don't agree, but we walk a fine like trying to keep everyone on board.
I used 2 Club Lloyds cinema codes on Tuesday without any problem (Odeon) Elaine.
Good morning everyone x
Thanks Nellie. Did you book online as won't accept my codes?
I managed eventually to book odeon. Put in codes, it would default to 'Meercat Movies' and you had to change it voucher - then a couple of time sit failed on the next step and I then had to wait 15 mins for it to 'release' the seats I had failed to book so I could then book them....
WE enjoyed lack Widow but as the reviews state, the back story is too dark for Disney Marvel 12A so they intersperse some slapstick which just jars. Reminds me recently I was watching 'True Lies' with Arnie and Jamie Lee Curtis, it is played as a comedy but the concept is deeply disturbing.

Thanks Anon.
Does anyone have experience of using Emergency Assistant please? In the past we've been with AA and RAC but they are so expensive. More recently we've been with Auto Aid but last time I looked they were not on TCB or Q.
I will try to look into this tomorrow as it's too late now.

Tried an experiment making cold brew coffee with one of those coffee tea bags overnight. Clearly 12 hours of steeping is not enough. Either that or I used too much water. Never mind, there’s plenty more coffee bags to play around with 🤣

We have been with Start Rescue for a few years. Cheaper than AA, RAC or GF. Great reviews but luckily we've not needed to call them.
I will look into anons suggestion as well as renewal is soon.
Morning all,It's been an early start today for me as my oldest son is getting married today,it has been a very stressful time leading up to today with restrictions, not knowing if the wedding could go ahead, how many could attend, etc but today we just want a normal day where friends and family can spend time together enjoying themselves and a bit of sun would be lovely.Off in a few minutes to get my hair done then get ready after.

Good morning all, had more rain overnight here and those clouds are acting like they are being chased!
Thank you for the cuppa Roma
And can I just say a big than you to the moderators on here, I think you guys deal with the differing opinions very well. Some of us do not want to come down to discussions about the elephant in the room, it is far better on it's own thread. Equally, people that want to find out information on the subject can find it far easier on a specific thread. Let's not forget folks that all they get is our thanks.
Need to deliver a friend's birthday present today
Anyone know the cheapest place to get Yorkshire Tea Bags please? I don't want a massive pack, was hoping to get a pack in a promotional tin or something as OH uses precisely one a day for his breakfast. I had had him converted to Lidl Gold tea bags but someone bought him Yorkshire Tea for his birthday So far found Sainsbury with 160 for £4 (think that is about the biggest pack I can get without them deteriorating).
Tesco this morning may wake me up its persisting it down.
I know we dont have to wear our masks in shops but here they asking we do. Well i have my exempt card will feel better knowing i wont pass out in Tesco wearing one .
The rain is that bad Rosie actually didn't like it and was a quick toilet in garden bless my girl.

Hope it goes well magda. Have a brilliant day🤗❤️
Horseshoes weren't like this back in the day. A wedding usually necessitated a trip to the local chemist ( oooh missus) to buy confetti and a silver horseshoe in a squashed box😂😂

The last couple of days I haven't worn mine, what with being breathless I didn't think it a good idea!
Best wishes Magda for a happy and hopefully rain-free wedding
