That's impressive enterprise. What are you going to do with it now lol
Well, I have to sort out the stabiliser legs because I over extended them, other than that I may take it apart and have a go at building something else. Have to keep it hidden from the grandkids though lol.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
I often get emails from places like Indiefield looking for specific people for market research. It’s fairly well paid, as an example the current email wants people who are buying a new phone and are willing to screen record their journey and pays £100 amazon vouchers.
I’ve also had places that send a person out to interview you in person or require you to go to a centre.
Usually I just delete them if they don’t apply but it would be great to have somewhere to dump the details, sometimes it earns me money if you know my email, sometimes it doesn’t

Not yet, but nothing to stop you opening one upstairs

I’ll try to remember in the morning. I think I had to drag the decrepit laptop out last time I made a thread 😂
The captain was correct - very wet & windy hereabouts. Nice to see you about, captain regardless of the conditions ...
Today, WiFi tried to get our GP to see her and listen to her chest. The best she could get out of the receptionist was that "The doctor won't see you unless you've had a PCR test, but will ring you later". How the doctor was going to listen to her chest / lungs over the telephone, I have no idea, but ring back they did this afternoon when we were out. 'Out' meaning getting her PCR test done because I'd already taken her to a walk-in clinic where a doctor had seen her face-to-face and after listening to her chest / lungs prescribed her a course of antibiotics for a lung infection (sounds similar to what I had).
Anyway, we got the pills (renewed her PPC first), booked a PCR test and now await the results (hopefully tomorrow). If she gets the all-clear tomorrow, she'll plan on going to school for the last day of term on Friday, otherwise not ...
Busy day for me as you see, both above and below decks.
I spent some time at the weekend shovelling horse manure for the allotment. Not so good that I was probably having delayed side effects from my covid/flu jabs and spent a lot of time at the weekend sleeping!
I was at work early today. Still dark early. There was a thunderstorm going on so I got a fab light show. As it was so early there weren’t many people around and it felt as though the light show was all mine. And then the torrential rain started and it was back to reality 🤣

Well the GP doesn’t want to risk catching anything.
I’m greatly preferring the option of having the GP call or text and only having to go in when we’re ‘ill’. Before we had to call non stop from 8am to get a telephone consult or sit in surgery from 8:30-12:30 with all and sundry (infectious or not) to get a drop in appointment.
Now I can book an appointment via the website and the GP calls me, and if they think it’s urgent then we get called in ASAP. For example, eldest had a wound he thought was infected, the relevant department told him to get a GP to prescribe antibiotics, they called him for an in person review in just under the time it took us to get there and instructions were issued.
MrLalli’s working ear was playing up and he put in a form request online. He now has a consultant he sees quarterly to monitor and a cleaning team he can access on an as needed basis.
Locally at least, the pre pandemic system worked really well if you were retired, unemployed or just needed a grown up outside of your immediate household to talk to.
Now it is much more functional for people with time commitments or those who are concerned about contracting things needlessly. My only issue has been when our GP merged and the logins didn’t work for booking appointments.
I’m one of these people that really hate self service tills especially when I had point coupons. Boots today. Not the first time there for this. Large newly opened Boots and they are determined to do all SS tills. The assistant said “you have to use these” I said is there a manned till open anywhere in this shop? No she said it’s an emergency and we don’t have any open. I’m no good at SS tills so she stood by me watching and overriding reduced items😁then sarcastically said ‘“see it’s not so hard” as I was walking away . I ended up going back to her and said “ this does not really help you very soon you’d be out of a job”

Footnote; I think if you use SS tills they should offer a staff discount😁
Bob all sorted - fed & watered. The only way we can get him to drink is by running the cold bath tap very slowly, that worked this morning. OH suffering all night with her cough. Waiting for PCR results hopefully today, but TBH I can't see her going into school tomorrow anyway. I've not seen her so unwell for ages if ever If it isn't covid, seems worserer than what I had in the summer to me, but at least she did manage to 'see' a doctor and get examined, and he told her to go back if no improvement fairly quickly with the antibiotics ...

I know what you mean lol. I ve banned mine from going up the stairs as there s no need for them to go up there. They are proper magpies , eyes everywhere and my rooms are like aladdins caves especially with Christmas things stored there . It's a shame for you to dismantle it though.
Raining, dark and blowing a hooley out there. Ugh.
Read online yesterday that our local bank will be closing by the end of the year. I can remember going in there as a nervous 18 year old to open my first account. Apparently they have noticed a decline in in-branch customers recently, which has driven the decision. Well shoot me down but hasn't there just been a pandemic. They cut their opening hours to four per day as a result of that and there's always a queue, so not sure how their logic holds up 😔

Good morning all, rather cloudy out there. It was raining rather heavily last night!
Thank you for the cuppa Roma
We took a lateral flow test yesterday, the chap at the place we were working on Monday has covid (not badly and he is DJd), fortunately we are currently both negative. We did not have close contact with him anyway, we were occasionally in the same room but we always move when people go by etc, thank goodness for instinctive social distancing! OH will be taking another test tomorrow or Saturday because he is meant to be going down to his mum's (she is triple jabbed) and helping out as his brother is away for a few days. Which gives me chance to sort out a few things here Am I mean that a little bit of me wishes something would give her a nudge towards the light, it really is not her anymore and I really do not think we would let a dog go through what she is going through
I have however phoned her school and told them not to expect her in tomorrow because atm she seems to be getting worse, not better. hopefully her antibiotics will kick in soon.
