Evening all, it seems sada release their delivery slots for the next available day at round about 10 - 10.15p.m. so just got lucky and got one for next Saturday. The original order was over £40, but since half not in stock it came to £25 and no charge for delivery. Order cant be amended until 2 days before delivery and only once it seems. You all probably know this but just thought I would mention it. Definitely better than taking unnecessary chances by going out.
Nobody at the surgery over the Easter weekend so it would have to be 999 and then they will probably want to admit him. Seeing as they didn't have a clue last year and just diagnosed on the basis that they had ruled out everything else I can't really see how that would help - just hours on a trolley in A&E and a good chance of covid infection. I need to talk to the GP or the consultant at the hospital to see what they think. Its a difficult decision really deciding the least risky course.
The Mrs works in a GP surgery, they asked her to come in today and Monday ..
Hmm - got a text from my gp earlier saying they were open today and Monday....
Today was scorchio and tomorrow due to be even hotter then Monday about 17 degrees cooler and a strong cold wind - hope nature doesn't get too upset, minimum supposed to be just above freezing so hopefully no frost.
I'm thinking of buying an adult 🛴 to go whizzing about on instead of walking for a change. I did think about buying a bike then thought these scooters are simpler. Cheaper , probably safer and take up less room 🙂 I went whizzing past an old guy in his garden once when I d dropped Riley off at school and his eyes nearly popped out 🤣

but not as good for exercise as a bike is. I went for a ½ hour bike ride yesterday and my leg muscles are not letting me forget it today although I still managed a 45 minute walk this morning just to show them who is boss
Tried Asda on Thursday and just popped to Lidl for milk now but not a single bag of flour in sight!! (Thanks OP for gluten free suggestion but not keen to go that route till I completely run out). It's been like this for weeks now!
All I can think is we must have an extraordinary number of bakers in my town !!!!!!
Good morning, busylizzie, the same here no flour since this started and I am out of plain and on last bag of sr, really don't want dh going round the shops just to find it.

It's all the home schoolers Plus it's the only thing other than computer I can get my teen to do🙄😁
Morning all We're set for another scorcher apparently but the cloud hasn't broken yet. Yesterday was glorious. Three of my courgette seeds have poked their way through the compost 🌱
Busylizzie I hope you manage to find some flour soon We don't have any in lidl but had in the smaller B&M's etc. I know not helpful Izzy if you don't want to go out
Well I woke with a plan of going a real big shop. Must have been dreaming about it. Well its not happening today but with all this money I am saving it will have accumutlated by whenever I get to go out browsing Anyway I doubt I could spend well over £100 in one go in a supermarket
As we were supposed to be with the kids next week one of the treats was to be a carry out pizza DH left £40 !!!! for them to order it over the weekend. But what made me laugh was we had a a really nice, 10p RTC of course, Calzone one with salad last night. We will be having a TA over the weekend too I imagine
Well wet and wild would describe our weather overnight. Its not warm either but no longer wild but I have put the heating
DS phoned to say he was unwell and it momentarily sent me into a slight panic. He was very sick several times yesterday and extremenly tired but no other symptoms His motto is " It is what it is" but I tried explaining that his 11 year old may need more understanding
Stay safe, will hightlight the free short courses on Future Learn again for anyone with spare time on their hands. I have not had time to start mine this week. Been busy reading, decluttering, cleaning and having the odd siesta

Good morning all, the cloud is breaking nicely, looking like being another lovely day.
Have to admit, one of the first things I got when this kicked off was a couple of bags of plain flour, I never use SR because I like to control the amount of rise by varying the amount of baking powder. Rather glad because DH has decided he wants a bundt cake for his birthday cake As I can't seem to get lemon curd without going to a big store I will be making some lime curd for it (already have the limes) and I shall make a lime meringue pie at the same time to use up the egg whites and lune curd. It will have to go in the freezer though!

I suspect a bike is more controllable, not sure how you brake on adult scooters. My bike is easy to stop and easy to stear, and it is far more visible than a scooter.
That said, what I would really like is a Segway, have to wait and see if they legalise electric vehicles like that. Iw ould still use my bike but the Segway would be better in some weathers.
Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather . We completed jet spraying all the patio yesterday so can really enjoy sitting out in it today.
I'm technically on Easter holidays at the moment and although the situation around us is dire I'm enjoying having time at home with there being no expectations from myself or the children. Not having to think where can I take them what can I do, should I let them go there with their friends. I also think my dd is enjoying having a break from school and friends.
Massive thank you to all of you out there that are still keeping everything going x
I need to go and google if you can get mumps even though you've had jabs 😬

Just thinking that it was a month ago that we went to Portsmouth, March 11th - came home on March 15th and that part of the week afterwards up to Friday was the last bit of normal everyday life ..... deep sigh.
Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others,or to diminish something of their pains

Bless him, longs he is drinking that's good x
Ds1 , he came home Thursday and his neck on one side was all swollen and then last night the other side and all down the side of his face. Not a great way to start his leave 🤦♀️ Our doctors is shut and I spoke to the pharmacy on the phone and said apart from telling him to take anti inflammatory which he has anyway , our local pharmacy can also write prescriptions but he says he's not allowed to get close to him to diagnose so just debating if to leave it till Tuesday x
