Good morning Nice cooler day for this Heart of Wales train journey Unfortunately we're sat in wrong carriage as no WiFi & heating is on 🙈😳 But can't be bothered to move as I've opened the window & we have table seats 😊 Went past Royal Welsh showground, setting up
The Cyclists are doing the C2C2C today about 280 miles. The Great North Air Ambulance saved the life of one of these riders last year and it's payback time❤️❤️
I didn't capture everyone ...plus theres 3 support vans ......and amongst those legs is the only lady rider.
I really wanted to do it but I need to get down the field😀
Hope they do it in 2 days? OH would love to do this, but I definitely don't want him to on his own. I would have to be the back up car. 🤣
Brilliant charity TM hope they all have a great time with no problems this year.
Morning all.
They will be at Arnside for lunchtime, a decent break and then head back today🤗
before I left for work there was a email from the company shop to say that they could only take cash payments today and the cynical side of me wondered if they were going under😱😱 Then the first news story I heard was a bit random and lacking detail and my mind went into overdrive. Think I drove into Durham on autopilot😳😳
Ironic really. I am the wrong side of ‘ 21 ‘ I don’t want to be on too much of a rant here but this cashless society idea is crazy to me. I would never go out without cash. But hey ho. ps Perhaps go back to old days. My Nan used to tell me to fold up a note really small and put it in a shoe for any emergency I would struggle with when I wear flip flops.😁
My mum said, "Put it in your bra!"
I swear she didn't know me at all during my teenage years...... a shoe would have been so much safer!!!

Mr Pops and I had a bit of a walk today and then popped into a local (ish) pub for lunch. There was an American couple there telling us all that they were doing the Coast to Coast bike ride, although unlike Mr TM and his gang they were taking a week to do it in.
Was out with DH again I am changing the accessories in a couple of rooms. It’s so difficult for me to imagine things that look great in the shop in my home. DS says I need to settle on a type design but my brain seems to like random things
Lazy afternoon it’s been grey with heavy rain. Anyone watching the golf? That’s what our weather is like just now.

I never thought I'd think/say this, but those particular Americans appear very civilised/sensible.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Sounds like I'm watching something similar - Aquaman
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I'm the same, I really wish I was one of those people with natural design flare!
Discussing tax rates with the husband and for every hour he works above 20 hours per week he’s paid net (after tax, NI, pension and UC deduction) £1.20 an hour.
Anybody else have ridiculous marginal rates for earning more than the lowest earners? I think I remember someone posting a 95% marginal tax rate for people with a children who earned £75k and used the childcare vouchers. But honestly who wants to work for £1.20 an hour after tax and deductions. £12 a full days work. £60 for 5 days (once he’s worked his contracted 2 days)
Should add, he’s paid a good £4 an hour above minimum wage

Hope all the cyclists succeeded in their challenge.we got a good look at the helicopter a couple of years ago while doing a charity walk for them.
Woke up coughing. It's a producer so, well, I don't know what that means. Anyway. I felt OK yesterday when I wasn't moving. So I did less than 600 steps. Dd1 seems to have it. Dd2 has isolated herself in the conservatory, no change there. Matt is being his usual not speaking/interacting/grumpy self so no idea if he has it.
Seems to have cooled off a bit.
Rain meant I don't have to worry too much about my plants.
Back to my books.
Hugs and loves to all needed or not and extra squishes going too xxx

There’s a negative amount at around a joint income of 100k, where childcare support stops instantly. So the marginal tax rate can actually be negative.
DS2+ wife in stand off with their sellers. Sellers claiming they can’t complete until end August. DS2+W saying they have to complete by end July for their mortgage. Sellers ask what their plan B is, DS2+W say they are moving in with us and will look to buy again next spring. That’s met by silence. They are meeting today. See who blinks first.

Terrifying game but it sounds like your son has the upper hand. Either they want to sell it or not.
