Sitting in hospital waiting for hubby to be called for his cystoscopy and i had some news a good friend who trained with me for my London marathon collapsed at a local race yesterdsy and passed away this morning. When hubby came out from camera i knew by his face it was bad news, they need to do a biopsy as a few bits they need closer checking, just when you start to feel life is getting back on track. Dr said he would be an emergency so hopefully very soon but chemotherapys stopped until results are back, and they aren't very quick on that side unfortunately. I just want to scream but trying to be be upbeat like hubby is being for me but failing.
So very sorry for the loss of your friend and also your hubby's news. It's such an anxious time waiting for results.
I don't know if you've heard of them but there is a charity called 'Maggies' that offers support to anyone affected by cancer, either directly or someone close to you. If you have one of their centres nearby you don't need an appt and can just pop in for a cuppa and chat. Mine is located in the grounds of the hospital that has been treating me.
I hope your hubby gets his results quickly and that they are favourable. Living under the shadow of cancer is difficult, it touches every part of your life and those around you. Sending the biggest virtual hug and my best wishes to you both. x
Morning all. Amazon prime day today and tomorrow and I’ve had a good dig around to find toys and little bits to keep the children busy over the summer. All over on the rainforest thread so excuse the mess
Biblical amounts of rain again overnight. Sunny at the moment but yet more rain is on its way judging by the huge black clouds overhead. Got to (try to) keep smiling I guess.
Have a good day everyone. Hugs to those going through very difficult times.

Every time I read your posts about the rain @foxy it reminds me of a couple of years ago when it was the exact opposite, not a drop of rain fell where you are for an age. I mean I can remember the yellow grass everywhere so not just where you are. Not sure that was the same year though…

Yes I remember that too, it was a couple of years ago. It was so dry for a really extended period that all my (very many!) water butts were completely empty and a lot of even the old established shrubs in my garden gave up and died. On the plus side though the lawns didn't need to be mowed for weeks
Totally opposite now as the grass is so lush and growing at a rate that I can't, or rather CBA to, keep up with it and the shrubs and trees growth is getting out of control. I think I need to get some sheep in Feast or famine in this crazy climate.
Our swimming pool project is back to being a pool in a pool - even deeper this time (perhaps 8 inches), it is really hard to get the motivation to finish it when you are working in damp clay and there is no pressing demand for a swimming pool!
