Can you all keep fingers crossed for my friend on facebook she got skin cancer.
They have done biospy and today she got letter for next appointment Friday December 13th
I been so worried for her she a lovely lady
She reckons it benign because of hospital she got appointment for but like she said not celebrating til she 100% it is
Thank you all xx
Hope she's ok, but I don't think she can read anything in to where the appointment is because surgeons and consultants work across more than one hospital so it will just be where they are doing clinics that day that might be more convenient - which hospital it is, is irrelevant to the results unfortunately. If it is cancer hopefully carcinoma and contained rather than melanoma which is more dangerous one.
Got a friend who's got stage 4 skin cancer despite removal of the mole it had spread to a lymph node and now spread somewhere else. Operation tmrw, but am praying for the best.
We’ll, mr Grumpy got his prescription permanently changed to give the brand he wanted after a week of visiting and phoning everyone and anyone ( much done by me). He eventually marched into the doctors receptionists and tore them off a strip using the words “duty of care” and “report you” Within an hour he had the medication in his hands.
Same as the expression, six of one and half a dozen of the other
Asked for a dozen onion rings in Spoons last night. Young lad asked if that was 12 as he didn't know what a dozen was as no one had asked for it before! Made me feel ancient. 🤣
Morning all.
I always ask for a pint of soda water and last night, again, it arrived in a small glass. Can you imagine if someone asked for a pint of beer and it arrived in a small glass!

They have no idea. I use cash (YES CASH) for shopping. When there is odd change I try to use it so I get large change or notes back. They look flummoxed when I do this. However I will tell you what I did at an airport last year. The guy asked me if I had a tablet in my hand luggage…..I replied with ….yes paracetamol.😂🤣😁

Has anyone tried using GC in Waitrose today? I tried a couple in store but it said they were invalid, and when I use the online balance checker it says ‘sorry there’s a problem’. I don’t know if it’s just my GC or whether it’s a more widespread issue.
I’ve successfully used GC in Waitrose today.. hope you sort it out.

I also used one with no problems just before 9am today.

I went to spoons tonight and bought two cheap drinks and paid with change. I quipped to the young guy “I hope you like counting” and as he put it in the till it was obvious he didn’t as he put the small copper in first and was in a right mess in a few seconds !
Morning Looks like I’ll be putting the kettle on …..weird as I was last one up. Tea, coffee and plenty of pastries especially almond croissants. There’s plenty of eggs too if anyone wants x

Good morning. MRsMAC Channel Madmoiselle @ the perfume shop 200ml works out at £203 you have to subscribe to get text notifications so a saving of about £60 I think. I'm saving it for DH to give me for Christmas. He wanted Tom Ford so I spent £400+ the other day on perfume/aftershave it makes it so much cheaper per 100ml when you buy the big bottles. Huge outlay I know but it's worth it to us.

Good morning all, another grey day here.
Really need a bit of sunshine. Seems like it is taking forever for a rehab bed to free up for OH. Admittedly there are not many neuro rehab beds there, but he is currently getting no physio because they seem to have decided that he will get what he needs when he gets there! We do go through the exercises though, they help a bit.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
1 litre Bailey's offer for £10 in Sainsbury's started yesterday. Bought a bottle for WiFi to take with her when she visits her folks at Christmas. Calorific, but nice ....
