Can i just say I am retired and glad of it as I can see where TM is coming from. DS can work from home now and again due to changing technology He has flexible hours which means he can do the school run some days This has allowed his wife to go back to work The downside is for a good few hours each weekend or in the evenings if its urgent he works
My good news is our car that DS uses which has had problems since May is getting a new engine under"goodwill" It was repaired in May under warranty then a few weeks later it failed It needs a new engine!!!!! The dealership had done the services and MOT's and the issues not picked up It has been in the garage for 9 weeks and they hope to have it back to us next week. Customer Service regarding any feedback has been appalling Left it all to DS so he will complain when we get the car back
Basic tidy up today as DH is still working in the loft Oh what a lot of crap he has removed Our cleansing dept now operate excess waste drop off by appointment only He has been a few times managing a appointment first thing in the morning only booking the day before

Picasso Our small charity shop sell frames from 49p If you fancy a gallery wall with different frames thats an ideal starting point I am not arty enough to see how stuff like this comes together but do marvel at how gallery walls look on photographed rooms especially up a stairway
This new CS is great for crystal too but my love of old things is china tea sets I love admiring them but being practical only have 3 sets at home now. Said charity shop had a 6 piece tea set complete tea pot plus coffee cups and saucers for £8 Paragon pink floral china

Good morning all, grey but mild here.
Off to see OH again. Might cut it down if he stops having double vision but, as it is, he can not do a lot to entertain himself. He likes doing sudoku but a bit tricky if you can't actually see properly.
Just glad we are at least close to retired, I can come and go as I please. Had I been working it would have been very restrictive over the past 3 weeks.
As for companies cutting employees, well, it's not always for profit, often for survival. Better to have a few less employees in a business that can continue than to send the business over the edge and end up with all the employees being out of work. A few of the small business owners we know are now shutting shop totally due to the upcoming budget. More and more people will be out of work now.
Have a nice day, I won't be listening to said budget as it would wind me up.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Just a thought entered my head as I'm planning my day. Blue arsed fly comes to mind😱
Thinking back to my mother at my age and how the pace of life has speeded up and how we gradually become accustomed to packing more and more into each day.
I think it hit home yesterday when I had 2 hours virtual training on teams and I had to remove my camera and put myself on mute while I wrote a report and answered calls, promising myself I would go back and watch the recorded session out of work time😳 Not good.
Think I need to give my head a shake🥴🥴
Good job you removed your camera and put yourself on mute … don’t want to surprise anyone 😁 my brother was due to phone he always phones. I took the phone into the bathroom with me got in the bath and hey ho he never does this he face timed me. For a second I automatically answered.
Neighbour who has an oak tree growing beside our garage has agreed DH can cut it down He cut overlapping branches last week Me met her tonight and was saying it would probably require annual maintainance and he was happy to cut it back as they roots may cause problems under our garage in future years
She apparently had no idea it would grow big !!! and he can cut it right back

Have you checked for a preservation order? I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than sorry. We're supposed to be having our two big trees cut down today. I'm in work so my lovely neighbour is coming to supervise. Not that they need supervising more to keep twit & tw#t out of the equation. I've told her to make them lots of coffees and I've bought chocolate biscuits and I've left four empty trugs if they would like to fill them with chippings I'd be very grateful 😂😂😂

Good morning all, dull again here.
Mixing things up a bit here - go me lol. Done the hoovering at 07:30 this morning, will do a little shopping on the way home.
They are hoping to build OHs oral food intake up a bit more soon, it is really the only thing keeping him where he is at the moment. Will have to try to get someone to tell me what is happening next, whether he will be going to a rehab centre or what, he can still barely stand at the moment but the physios are working hard on that.

Thanks Not a consideration thankfully Its a very young slim tree maybe 5-7 years old She did not plant its just a random growth from what we imagine was birds storing winter food She is not garden minded and only has grass and this tree in the back garden Dh is not able to cut back anything big but competant enough to cut this back without causing damage
