So sorry the move went badly Haze, shame they couldn't have both gone as well as Sarah's.
Hope everyone is well and has more energy than me right now. Coming to the conclusion I am going to have to take a day out soon. Problem is that he can't do a lot for himself, can't even do sudoku because of his double vision, don't want to leave him laying there bored out of his mind in between physio etc.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

could he cope with talking books? LJx
Unfortunately he is not a big reader, not really sure what he would think of that idea but suspect that he would not be keen. Shall ask anyway.

Enterprise, would he be interested in listening to something like Tony Hancock? www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/b009t2ld they’re only half hour recordings but it might give you both few moments in the day where you can sit and ‘be’ without having to put too much thought into things
It is set in the 1980s and once scene talked of adding a child to a parents passport. I remember doing that years ago. Just googled when it stopped. As recent as October 1998 and those already on a parents passport could still use it until the child was 16 or the passport expired. So as recent as 2008 there could have been teenagers travelling on a parents passport!
They wrote them on by hand and my youngest wasn’t added and we’d book a last minute break. I’ll admit to forging it and adding a dot to the date stamp…. That was 1996

Thanks lovely & thank you Mrs mc. Snowed under with boxs, I think I am an elite shopper. I will not buy ANYTHING for cupboards and freezer until stock has gotten under control, I will repeat this until I get a grip. Off to empty more boxs. How lovely, neighbours just poped in with a bottle & card had a great chat 😊 now definitely back to unpacking.
Wet leaves on pavements can lead to accidents, especially when it rains. 🌧️ Our teams are clearing streets, but you can make your area safer by sweeping up leaves on or near your property. We’re providing free brooms and bags to help. 🌿 Request yours today! Click the link in the comments 👇

I wonder if they’re expecting a freeze overnight and don’t have the staff to keep up. We’re predicted to go to zero overnight next week and leaves added into the ice make it really dangerous not just for pedestrians but also vehicles.
Also leaves block drains really easily which can mean flooding. We only learned this last month. It’s not fun drawing straws to be the person wading through the flood in a thunder storm to clear the one drain or risk your house being several inches underwater.
Kind of them to provide brooms and bags though. Our council also provide bags, collars and litter pickers if you want to clean up locally.

Twit and tw#t jet washed all the leaves of their patio, driveway etc into the street last week, the next day they all blew into our garden so I raked them up and composted them, there is honestly nothing nice about that pair...hence the names 😂
