We finally got our passports renewed after 14 years and booked a holiday. Where to? Blumming Cyprus 😢 it's the first two weeks in February. Will we have to wait for the travel company to say we can't go? We've only paid £120 deposit thankfully with easyJet holidays. We're now thinking The Canary's somewhere may be a safer bet, can anyone recommend anywhere?
I’m not much obsessed here but lidil Bramley cooking apples rubbish also. I’m not much obsessed here but I will now be looking everywhere. I’m sure I’m not much obsessed here 😂
Good morning, hope all are as well as can be, hugs to those are in need. Our bad luck just keeps coming, let's hope the rainbow I saw while on a very wet run thismorning has a positive influence on us. I got so wet my feet are Still freezing. A heads up i had 2 text one a parking penalty charge notice, to pay a (pcn) by a local council. It dosent say what council and its from 07459878877 on the 12/09 saying I have 14 days to get it half price, then another from 07760261594 saying last discount reminder saturday 05/10 at 22.03 with a different link to click to pay on both. Another text from RideAmerica at 00.14 this morning from no +19134249199 saying booking logged and accepted and it has my name & surname, this one got me more as how the heck did they get my full name & my number, be it a spare old number. Its scary how they can access your information. It just under 2 weeks and we are off to Norfolk, hope.tjose that went or are going have a fabulous time and the weather is good. Got its to do but crastinating here lol, I must move and maybe my feet will.warm up. Have a great day folks, stay warm and dry the sun has come out happy to share it. X
At least you were savvy enough to block and ignore.
I am currently ignoring a parking charge notice where I parked too long somewhere, but as it's only a notice don't think they have a leg to stand on. I'm quite curious to see how it pans out whilst having no intention of paying up. Guess they'll probably just go away eventually
I honestly believe you will find the right house for your family. I've been struggling keeping up lately how is sarahdol getting on with moving?
Waiting for a title deed charge to be removed, its been in land registry hands for 3 weeks now, they have expedited it and asked for fast track as matter of urgency.....everyone is ready to go, hoping for exchange any day !!!!!
Im ringing every day.
Worth going on the Land Registry thread on MSE and putting in the title number, the Land Reg rep will be able to tell you exactly where it is in the system.

I can't see anything happening IN Cyprus, more that British troops in Cyprus may help stop the missiles.
Can't stop thinking that there have been hostages for a whole year.
If you want a Canary recommendation, we had a good time in Adeje, Tenerife.
Hope it comes through quickly for you 🙏 we had to go into our estate agent yesterday and got shouted at because they are not doing their job, and trying to blame everyone else, if we hadnt got so far i would of removed our house from them. Totaly discusted by their rudeness and behaviour, the owner is useless. Another problem we don’t need. I would say to anyone by thinking of moving, think again, and again and again and don't do it, unless absolutely without a shadow of doubt 100% something you have to do.

Paperwork is in, thankgod.
We have submitted 6 months of bank statements to prove funds and we have a date of 17th October for completion.
Hopefully once they have checked paperwork we can exchange, give it a couple of days, but fingers crossed.
What Estate Agents is it Haze, we had horrendous service with our last ones, the amount of times they put the phone down on us was ridiculous.

Ooh lovely something to look forward to. Ive never been to Cyprus.
We have been to Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and we are off to Tenerife in December, 1st time of going there.
They are all nice and guaranteed nicer weather in February.
It's newton fallowell, they are franchised but we went with them as the house we offered on is with their "sister" branch, despite charging us double the fee and saying it would go so much smoother and quicker but they are also awful. Our buyers who are 1st time buyers, their solicitor (male chicken) are causing so many delays, nobody know why, they are the last to get the contract, it should of been signed and date for moving agreed last week which is why I had to physically go into our estate agent yesterday as they constantly ignored our calls to get them to contact our buyer & their solicitor to get it sorted. We were told they would email contract to them thismorning and update us, supperis supperise nothing from them. Trying to book a removal company, but if we change dates they charge 100%, which i understand as they have to book that date for u. I give up. Its been piddling all day here off and on I'm hoping I don't get wet on tomorrow's run, I need to get out to clear my head. Hopefully weather is better with others. X

It's what could escalate between now and February we are worried about. I'm looking at Costa Adele thank you.

Well I hope they’ll go away Josie but it’s not likely if you did overstay. They are very persistent and if you were in the wrong then they won’t give up.
I had a situation where I was in the right and the parking company were in the wrong. They brought in debt collectors who write to me every few weeks asking for payment (or they will go to court) and payment has gone up due to additional admin charges. Two years later they apply to court but drop the case a week before after seeing the evidence I have provided to the court. (This was exactly what I had already provided to them several times). They just think that if they carry on you will give up and pay.

Good morning, I'll put the kettle on again if anyone would like another.I've got fresh ham & spring onion scones and fruit scones going please help yourselves ive also got porridge with blueberries if you dont fancy funny mango 😄, ill have mine when back from my run I need to get out while it's not raining. More chasing estate agents yesterday, and our buyers have finally got yhe contact. They need to print sign and return so fingers 🤞 🙏. The garden is loving the rain, my roses are still blooming along with the clematis and bedding plants loving the colours despite the winter feel. Have a great day folks, hugs to all. X
I've floated the idea of moving to Wales with WiFi, if circumstances (and medical appointments) allow, we might go there for a couple of nights during half-term.
Suggestions on 'nice' places welcome.
It's just an idea at the moment - WiFi decided she wasn't keen on 'North', so what about 'West'?
That lounge will be dark, particularly in Winter. The only window is to the conservatory and that will limit light to the room.
The garden looks too small for me, I accept that is a personal choice, as is how much updating you will need or want to do.
If you want some general comments on Wales, don't underestimate how far West and North Wales are from England, if you have family and friends that you will want to visit often. I thought the Anglesey community is quite insular and not sure how welcoming to outsiders from England you would find it. Having grown up in (South) Wales, I can tell you it rains a lot. Drizzly rain for days rather than down bursts followed by sun. I'm generalising but I think living in Wales is cheaper than England, public transport and going out and about (Cafes etc) are cheaper because people won't pay the higher prices. I'd be nervous of moving with health care issues, without examining the provision carefully. Parent in Wales with health issues and there are definitely gaps in provision and longer waits, both NHS and private. The positive is that lifestyle is more relaxed and chilled, people are friendly and more laid back.
From what I can tell, the nearest hospital with an a&e is in Bangor which is a fair distance on public transport. With hospitals being a big part of your and wifis life and wifi not driving, you may find yourself in a bit of bother if either of you need to be admitted
