It's a gorgeous day and all I want to do is pull up my onions but Raphaman wants to look at new cars. I hate looking at cars but darent let him loose on his own🥴🥴🥴🥴😥
Not good news the little house DD3 and BF were buying has fallen through, so angry the seller just went quiet after they had paid around £1500, search pack, survey solicitor fees etc. They had signed mortgage deed and we’re ready to exchange. They knocked as no one could get hold of her. Apparently she sent email weeks ago but estate agents said not and they think she has blocked their number as they kept trying but it says user busy. Not sure who to believe she was buying through same estate agent too. First they knew something wasn’t right was when their solicitor emailed hers and got a email back to say she was no longer client due to conflict of interest. 🤷🏻♀️
How people can do that to young couple who have been saving hard is beyond me. Even if her purchase is as she told them “not the one” surely you would keep lines communication open until you found another. They would have been happy to wait longer…

I’m dreading the day we need a newer car, I hate all that it’s like changing from a comfy pair slippers to a new pair.
Morning all! Just back from my 101st parkrun 😇🏃♀️💪. What a difference from last week when it was chucking it down!
Car due for MOT within the month but hoping to hang to it for a good while longer, very comfortable, am very happy not to change. Need to do some food shopping, fresh stuff and NO rubbish as bad snacking habits are creeping back in which is very annoying. And all my own fault, I know. 🙄🫣☺️. I have no excuse not to cook healthy tasty stuff, I have enough cookbooks 😬.
Anyway, dry day here, OH walked dog and is off out for rest of day soon, so I am freeeeeee. Should food plan and have a bit of a tidy up once I am showered and presentable again. We had a police helicopter overhead late last night for what seemed an eternity, so noisy, not sure what they were looking for in our sleepy village 🙄.
Hope you all have a good rest of your Saturday, have a 🫶.

Thanks Picasso, it’s hard for them parting with that money for nothing 😞. There is nothing as favourably priced for 3 bed at the moment but they have booked couple of 2 bed viewings and thinking about looking at couple of more expensive 3 bed in hope they may accept lower offer. 🤞
I've been invited to take part in the Future Health study too. Started online form then came to the agreement part and this part has me thinking:
Researchers approved to access and store the information collected by Our Future Health could be from academic organisations, charities or companies, in the UK or overseas.
I'm not quite sure where my data will go - especially the companies bit? Not signed it off yet.
If you have a look on their website there is a list of the currently approved organisations that have access to your data. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be sold to something or somewhere that you don’t agree to at a later date.
I find the idea a little sinister, especially since they started off by targeting low income households and offering a £10 grocery voucher a few years ago.
And with the risk of our healthcare system becoming privatised in the near future, I don’t really want insurance companies being able to refuse insurance for the children based on some kind of hereditary thing that shows up in a genetic test, such as cancer.
Also as I understand it, they retain the blood sample for future testing and research, the same as some of these dna testing companies like 23 and me. So I can’t see how you’d have any idea what your sample would be used for in the future.
But that’s just me being super conspiracy theory ist (and also I detest Randox as a company after the whole Covid contract stuff)
I totally agree with you on this as I nearly signed up a few years ago and didn’t like some of the future predictions like sharing and selling on. We were offered genome sequencing for hubby and it took me two years to agree based on what the repercussions could be for our children and theirs . We are three parts through it and they’ve found nothing so that’s good but the consultant keeps saying that they know so little and haven’t even scratched the surface brain wise.
Update on laundry basket saga. I got an email from head office saying the items were still at the store and ready for collection so I mooched up there this morning to be told my order numbers have been wiped as the items disappear off the system once collected. I explained the basics of the saga and all of a sudden she shot into the stock room and produced the items, even offering help to the car despite the long queue. I asked if she wanted the other order number or to write I’d down and it was “no,no, not necessary”!!!
Urgh I should have known better. Sent that husband to pick up a few essential items at the store.
Some highlights…
He bought kitten food… for our two surviving cats that have lived here for almost 10 years… in gravy… he cannot get gravy out of the pouch for love nor money…
He also spent (by his account) half an hour searching for bourbon biscuits without cream, because somehow in his mind they were like chocolate Nice biscuits and the cream is only present in bourbon cream biscuits. Bourbon biscuits are his favourite and he’s always bought cream filled ones before.
He bought calamari instead of onion rings because they’re the same shape
He bought maccheroni instead of macaroni because he assumed it was a spelling issue. One is the length of my palm and straight, the other is tiny and curved.
He also bought cheese with stuff in it despite knowing that the cheese loving monster will not accept food that has touched another food.

I find it fascinating too and not bothered about who shares what but good to point it out for anyone of a nervous disposition. No kids here thankfully 🤣
Amazing news today that has totally rocked my world .. Friend of 55 and wife of 49 are having their first child. We meet them socially about three times a year and they always said they didn’t want but felt it was more “it just didn’t happen” She is four months and baby is healthy but literally 6 weeks and she’s 50 !!!!
I’ve drunk my tea now thinking ‘what’s for breakfast?’ I’m not looking for sympathy but I have a raving temperature, stinking drippy cold, sore throat, cough, headache, body ache etc …..but feeling absolutely stomach crampingly ravenous. Weird eh? They say ‘starve a fever, feed a cold’ But I have a fever and a cold……
Have a good day everyone 😊
(& yes lbclbc - how did it get to end of August so fast!)
Oh no! Squishy hugs and a cool pad for you hope you're feeling better xxxx

It's just awful, as if buying a new house isn't stressful enough!

I refer to this behaviour as making a sh1t brew. This way you don't ask again.

I sent Matt to the coop to get emergency icing sugar. I asked him to get 3.this was my not my first rodeo so I told him if they only have 1 or 2, get those, don't just come home empty handed because they didn't have 3. He told me it was a good job I'd said that coz he would have come away without.
Hugs and loves to all needed or not and extra squishes going too xxx
