Snow has fallen and settling on Moor and nearby towns and villages!
Maundy Thursday today, but feeling very proud as DS has had an academic paper published in
‘The International Journal of Numerical Methods and Applications in Biomedical Engineering” - known for “pioneering techniques that help to solve critical engineering problems.” 🤗🤗🤗
Bit bored today, there’s only so much telly and reading I can do.
Today will be rainy day, end of month financial and admin stuff. All on low data mode phone. And I will be changing broadband providers, trying to sort out a plum isa, and get a new mobile contract with a provider that offers proper data roaming, plus a few more annoying bits. I’ll be making a list and trying not to go into task avoidance mode. It’s the last day before month end…so really the eleventh hour.
Seems I can’t do much these days without a looming, threatening deadline 😂
Are others similarly afflicted?
I cant for the life of me remember where it came from but Mark Twain seems to lodge in my head - anyway a phrase I heard recently - "eat the worm"
So you force yourself to 1stly do the worst possible job 1st - eat the worm - whichever is the most vexing and annoying and time consuming and soul draining. Once you have tackled this the To Do list wont seem so daunting so you try the next "worm" Now the list is looking far less of an impossible mission and you feel so much better having made a start and then you are on a roll. The more really vital time sensitive things at the top of the list have been done so now you can start on the easy and easier things
I remember going on a Time Management course called Eat that Elephant🤔🤔
Had to stop after one episode last night watching Coma. It stressed me out😫Then watched one episode of Prisoner and got bored. That's all we seem to do these days😐
This weather sleazy.. I could not have picked a worse week to be off to do gardening jobs. It's been wet and freezing. It'll be gorgeous bpnext week when I'm back at work😐
macadamia, I’ve been very happy with the roaming provided by O2. It may not be the cheapest deal in the UK but when you add the free roaming through Europe and cheap roaming rates in other places, it could work out cheaper overall.

We’ve started watching ‘The Gone’ on BBC iplayer. Set in NZ with Irish links. Beautiful scenery and lots of new faces (for us), and no ads! 👍
Started watching Breathtaking about covid on ITV, but could not continue. Quite frankly did not want to relive all that 😬.
Still have the rest of Kin up my sleeve, with subtitles 😉.

Could have sworn you'd packed to go away? Must have got that wrong - some great tennis in Miami to watch that's what we're watching tonight!
Macadamia you must be my twin 😂😂😂. I do anything to avoid such paperwork, paint a wall, tidy the fridge, I seem to have a tidy house when it's deadline for paperwork 😂. But today I need to do all that stuff and get the hoover out because I've been painting walls avoiding everything else 😂. I will be arrested one day for paperwork advodance🤣🤣.
I've got as far to downloading the app picasso 😂.
Working all weekend, DIY gardening but are putting the tools down to catch up with a neighbour at some point.
Morning! I’m at an Ibis Budget so I have a coffee machine at my disposal for hot drinks. Form an orderly queue please 😆.
We arrived at the port early yesterday but it all went very smoothly. On the Uk side I didn’t even realise we’d been through passport control! We stopped at the check in both and were there for a very short time, and that was it. On the French side we were one of the first off the ferry and French passport control just did a cursory glance and stamped the passports. The sea was very rough for the first part of the crossing but neither of us felt seasick at all which was a blessing. Usually we both suffer quite badly. We had bought some new (to us) sea sickness tablets which I think must have worked!
