Outside sockets and garage are on a different ring. There are a couple of outside lights, but I ruled those out early on.
Also ruled out fridge freezer as people kept suggesting that. Went through many lists and had almost identified the cable box or TV, when it went again with nothing plugged in.
Just switched it on again and of course it’s working fine now! Just waiting for it to go again, preferably when the electrician is here
Could be a rodent/squirrel? WE had similar and I suspect it was a damp issue in one part of a ring - solved by severing the ring between two sockets and instead having two radials each with their own 16a breaker.

I think we already have radials, at least the MSE forum experts seem to think so. We have solid floors, so I wouldn’t think there was anywhere for rodents to hide - at least I hope not.

Has anything made a socket wet? a spill, an animal weeing on a socket (they sometimes do this out of character) etc.
Today, for the first time in forever the sun seemed to rise a little earlier and shine a little brighter. The trees are starting to bud and the garlic shoots are poking their heads out. I think spring may be almost upon us

M&S now send out a £12 voucher for food for your birthday (as part of the benefits of the M&S premier club) - years ago it used to be a rather nice afternoon tea and then it was downgraded to just tea and scones. For the last few years it has instead been a £12 giftvoucher for food which is a better choice. I spend mine today - 2 blocks of 750g cheese (M&S cheese has gone very expensive) and 3 packs of Couscous (annoyed with myself that we need butter and I forgot ;( ) total £12.70 so I had 70p to pay from a giftcard I have been whittling away at
Girl at the SS tills had to put the voucher through manually and was highly amused I was using my birthday voucher for Cheese and couscous
Also got a couple of large bags of pigs which I've ben adding to the food bank collections
Still a lot of clothing sale rails left and only 50% off

Driving down to Sheffield.... snow was falling but not settling.... its flipping cold in Sheffield
I work in Sheffield, It only snowed for about an hour or so this morning. Thankfully didn't settle. The Sun's been shining this afternoon. Yes, I agree it's cold though.
J.M. Barrie Quote: “Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.”
Good afternoon ☀️ Very low bright sun here but so cold ❄️❄️
Glad they arrived safely tweets 💝
All good here, discovered Dad's new Sunday carers are people I hold in high esteem as I worked with them in Laura Ashley 😁 Had an ankle x-ray today & it was done by a dog walking friend from 20 years ago. She hasn't changed ☺️ We were a small 'gaggle' of assorted ages & walks of life who met up every morning along the river bank & put the world to rights as our dogs played 🐕🐾 we progressed to suppers with lots of drink involved 🍹🥂 Happy days 🤗

I can’t quote your previous but I have duptyurens contracture. I always had bent little fingers as a child and people used to think I was being posh when I drank my tea. There are exercises to help slow it down but nobody in my family suffers but that means nothing as I’m the only one with an odd blood group . Mum used to say that it was a good thing I was born at home or she would have thought I’d been switched, lol. Scientifically, both my grandfathers died very young and it often skips a generation and isn’t apparent until middle age .
I'm thinking Midge Ure might be making an appearance on SFF shortly. I've seen discounted tickets in two different places which is usually a sign that they're struggling to sell all the tickets...
Well I braved the snow today! It was so good going out after 3 weeks of this awful cold/flu/non C19 thing! Went to our local prevent food waste market. For £3 I had freshly brewed coffee choice of croissants/crumpets, a peaceful 15 mins and then fill your bag! I couldn't even lift my bag! I have 3 sorts of bread and 2 part baked sough dough baguettes. An extra special Christmas pud, pots, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, onions, millionaires shortbread, 'lightly dressed' new pots, potato cakes, eggs, lemons, limes, milk x 2, fruit drinks, pak choi and a few other things including tins I so love it.

Fingers crossed.... if it pops up on Yr sff please shout at me x

That reminds me, do you have any power in the loft that you have not tried? One of our clients was having electrical problems, we happened to be doing some cabling in the loft and found a well cooked squirrel that had bitten through a power cable.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

From DH, is it tripping the RCD or MCB?
Both. It trips the MCB (is that the narrower one?) and the RCD.

Don’t think so, there is a light up there, but don’t think there is power.
We don’t have pets.
damp is an interesting one. Sockets on outside walls, but nothing outside. Remember it still flipped when everything was switched off. interestingly it has been fine for the last 6 hours! After flipping a lot until about 4pm. Makes me think something has dried out, but I don’t know where to start looking.
electrician turned up around 7pm. Turned out he was from the make safe team, rather than the fix the problem team. Trace the problem guy due to come tomorrow. He also made the comment that the car charger may cause tripping of a circuit even if it isn’t on the same circuit….

Have you had the tumble dryer on?
Our extractor fan shorted then was fine a couple of days later. The isolator for the fan is in the same small room as the washer and dryer which I'd used nearly all day so I think condensation was probably a factor but the chap who came to check it said it wasn't 🤷🏻 but then he fitted it so 😬. I always open the window now just in case.

Tumble dryer is on a different circuit in the utility room, not near any room effected.
I’m beginning to think we have damp in an outside wall and it has seeped into the electrics. Our house has solid external walls rather than cavities and the plug points in the lounge are at skirting board level. Maybe some damp crept in and has now dried out - we haven’t had rain for 24 hours.

Let's hope whatever that trigger, it's easy and cheap to sort out. 😉

They say things go in 3s.
Boiler in garage broken (it's the only heated water we have). OH replaced boiler. I jumped in shower... bathroom flooded. OH sorts it out ... turns out one of the kids used coffee granules as exfoliater. I go to wash pots.... the flipping tap broke. All mended now.
I have been awake since 4am, so got up and sorted RT medication ready for the big move today. Also, the last of his washing.......this boy will have a shock when he has to do his own washing 🤣
We had Dominoes Pizzas for tea, and leaving card and present.......the big Lynx gift set from ASDA was very acceptable 🙄 .......He was advised that if he was going to finish his other half of pizza in the middle of the night, he needed to inject another dose of insulin...............he has nicked the pizza to eat in his room, and switched off his blood sugar app, so we don't get high blood sugar alerts.......this doesn't bode well for the future 😱
Went to the local FE college to have low lights done for £25.......it takes ages, but it's so nice seeing the students achieve. I did have to have big rollers in, as the girl needed to tick off the task, but it will be back to normal after my shower🤣
