Horrendous rain and sheet lightning here for a couple of hours (stopped now). I did venture out for brekkie but returned home as roads were flooded and generally not good. Fed & watered myself and dear wife, but I need to go out as I ran out of statins at the weekend so haven't beeen able to take them. Pharmacy has had to order some more in, so hopefully they'll be there today.
Buzybee, I can't quote your post, most of the swans and geese we are seeing now have migrated here from colder climates, Iceland, Canada etc but some do stay all year round. How exciting we had a rare bird here too, the lengths the twitchers will go to. They had to go through a farmer's field to get to the river and the farmer charged them £10 each to cut across his land 😂😂
Oh Di like you I'm a div🤣🤣🤣 but if it hadn't have been for you I would have been wandering aimlessly upstairs. I'm sorry for not coming downstairs for so long..RL is taking its toll, what with running family members to an from the drs and hospital as well as doing all care for mil..but fortunately carers in for 2 weeks, a car taken to the police pound then scraped..(not mine but another family member) taking wayward GS to and from work as buses are infrequent 35 mile round trip twice daily..at least he's picking himself up and got a job which he really enjoys. My car in for a service and possibly £3000 work need that's labour+parts) a wasps next in my loft with at least 30 wasps in our bedroom each day(dead on the window sill) everywhere I go I seem to here buzzzzz.even though the wasp man has been... Had to fork out for a stop gap car for family member to keep them with wheels... Then 7.30 this morning DD in tears...one of the cats had been mauled by a dog so on the way to vets.. Of to mil with homemade rolls and banana fritters( her favourite)at lunchtime.. Hoping the rain holds off to plant some more bulbs in the garden..then olio collection tonight

Good morning all, raining quite gently here.
Thank you for the cuppa Roma
Hope the damage is not too great Sue, at least it should not have been too busy!
Rather glad I got the weeding done yesterday, there was rather a lot of them
Running a little late today, it was so dark that I overslept
I think it is great that the farmer charged everyone to cut across his field, there may well be a public right of way not too far away too What I find funny is when people just cut across fields and then find out why they are fenced off, normally a bull or some such. At least with the farmer charging them he/she could make sure any gates were closed.
It's quite funny, the hedge birds just suddenly disappear round here. We were getting through loads of seed and fat balls, then they just aren't touched for months. It happens the same each year!
You can get them posted to you at no added cost Sleazy.
Thanks but no thanks!
It's bad enough when you can speak to the pharmacist directly, and if they aren't in stock they presumably still wouldn't be in stock to post out either. At least like this I maintain a bit of control

Is there a special hugs function on here? I think you need some x

Found you again! 😃. Thank you for new thread 👍. Was wondering why Quote button had disappeared LOL. Hugs to those who need one. Dark and wet here, but no storm or lightning like MIL reported 45mins away from us. I am having my bathrooms replaced so lots of noise and dust everywhere for a few weeks 😬.
Tried to recycle in Boots the other day but could not get my phone to play ball. Think I have sorted it now, something in Settings, will try again next time I am near a Boots. But you need to be able to connect to the internet and they have no wifi instore 🙄.
Ah ok thanks. Is that the website? I’m on the app and it’s still a red 50% off square 🙄
Yes, a red banner on the M&S website.
Think this sale ends Sunday and prices won't go any lower.
Yes it still says 50% on the red banner on the website, I dont think they do 75% or 90% anymore - it goes to charity after this I as in our little store yesterday, about 6 rails including a lot of the designer stuff that they now stock and none of it anywhere near a price that was worth buying. Pre-Plague years the M&S sale was good for RTC cotton tshirts, tights, knickers jeans etc ...OH even good several linen blend shirts for about £2.60 which will probably outlast him

I noticed in Cafe nero this morning a notice that said 50% off food for students but I cant see anything on google about it - possibly via the app there may be a page to complete and you will need a proper student email address - but some people will have acquired an acc account as its the start of the academic year. I imagine that once your app is linked as a student account the 50% will be automatic - crisps are about £1 I seem to think.
Neros have also started their spin win again so if you scan your online loyalty card on your app it will give you a spin (it does not matter how much you spend or what your method of payment is - cash, credit card, linked card etc) We used the Threereward £1 offer and paid with an ATR giftcard Both of us won a free loyalty stamp which to us are worth either 35p or 40p so very happy with this especially as we just needed 2 stamps to complete a full loyalty card

Home Bargains - in the chocolate section I noticed star tins - either red or gold for £1.99 - these hang on the tree. They have chocolate coins in but the chocolate is usually dire. Instead remove the coins and put in whatever suits you better eg put a label on the back with a persons name - dog treats with the dogs name on a sticky label on the back, vegan choc drops or gourmet drops for adults etc
Also noticed in Tesco yesterday there is a triangular Toblerone tin for £5 and a square purple Cadburys one also £5

There are a couple of new surveys on FlavorWiki. However if you qualify it doesn't actually tell you how much you will receive for buying a particular product 🤔.

I got to the same page that I think you are talking about...then just clicked next and it moved on a page to show the products and the rewards....
looks like after the purchase you could make around £1-£1.50 for completing the questionnaires.
I qualified for both but unless anything is stocked at my local coop this evening...I'm not giving this one a go.
I've not checked if you can do multiple surveys or once you commit to one thats it as has been the case on the last few ones with flav

Life is a strange thing, just when you think you've learned how to use it, it's gone
