I opened the field to neighbours and their children yesterday and I'm very happy to report that all the pumpkins have gone and a big dent in the apples too.
I shared leeks, squash, beetroot, onions, garlic, sweetcorn, swede and outdoor growing cucumbers.
I never told them about my secret carrots. Nobody gets a sniff of them. One of the cheapest vegetables to buy and to grow but straight from the soil they are fantastic.
Wasn’t wrong was I? Need to move next to you tm.
I've reserved you a space 🥰🥰🥰❤️
Well I've gone and done it.
we have booked a skiing holiday for next year😱😱😱😱Those who know me will remember that I am TERRIFIED of flying and haven't flown for at least 12 years. I had planned never to fly again but need to prepare myself for a trip to the Philippines next Autumn to see DS marry his sweetheart❤️❤️
so the skiing trip will just break me in.....I hope. We skied as a family for about 10 years so that's fine but I need to get my head around the flight. I tell everyone to face their fears, to be brave, pull up their big girls knickers and just get on with it. Now I have to start telling myself the same.

wish me luck everyone😬😬
Totally understand the flying gap thing. When we had the kids we did not go abroad for years. This can make you worse. Just need to get the first one in.

Going to Tai Chi again this morning. DF daughter is not joining us, as last week she was disappointed. ……she had read the email as ‘free Chai Tea’ 🤣🤣🤣
Have a lovely day 🙂
🤣 🤣 🤣
I tried tai chi a couple of times. I'm sooooo uncoordinated. I couldn't do it. I was the youngest there by about 30 years and was deffo the worst! I decided not to inflict it on the class.

Morning paw sniffers🤗🤗
we tried ballroom dancing once and I was exactly the same. No coordination at all. I'm not watching Strictly this year but think they are all fantastic for giving it a go🤗🤗🤗
mr president has a man on a bike with onions around his neck dropped his baguette into your letterbox yet?😳
What a contrast to the weekend weather here today - all overcast and drizzly with a lot of rain overnight whereas Sat & Sun were gloriously sunny and dry. Very mild though, it didn't get down below 16 degrees overnight!
Hope everyone is well and happy and had a great weekend. A good weekend really sets you, and your mindset, up for the week ahead I find.
Work for me and fixing MIL's shed roof for DH today.
Mattswife that cake is just awesome!
TM well done for taking that first step. You can do it. I feel sort of obliged to watch Strictly this year, although I've got a bit bored with it now, because my bosses daughter's friend is taking part! I won't say who it is as I don't want to jinx them.
· Rehearsals are well under way for Rip Off Britain’s Cost of Living Special. We are Live on BBC One at 9:15 every morning this week– where we’ll be calling out the firms which could be making things a lot easier right now – from energy suppliers to broadband companies, retailers and much more. We’re kicking off the week asking why some people have been waiting months for the smart meters that could be helping them keep on top of their energy bills. Plus, Simon Calder’s in the studio with ways to cut the cost of all things holiday related – from next week’s half term daytrips, to next summer’s week away. Good morning all, mild here but is dry now after a night of rain.
Thank you for the cuppa Roma
One or two bits to do today, need some shopping, want to go get some more chestnuts, and OH's slippers need sewing back together. They are suede but they already have the sewing holes in them so should not be too bad. Might get around to cooking dinner at some point too
Really need to weed too before the weather gets too bad, hopefully in a couple of days or so, waiting for the compost bin to settle a bit more first so I can actually get the weeds into it
Hugs to everyone xx
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
TM same as others mentioned already re courses and would it make a difference what time you fly? Go at night and just sleep through it?
Zip Zero have sent email. Looks like we''ll be getting some of our money back soon? Plus

have people been getting their £66 to help with energy bills mine arrived in my account last week, but no sign of anything for DD we are both with Scottish Power LJx

I'm with Octopus and they applied it to my account about 10 days ago. I would have thought everyone (with the same supplier) would have it applied at the same time but maybe not. I'd be checking up on that if I was in your DD's situation.
have people been getting their £66 to help with energy bills mine arrived in my account last week, but no sign of anything for DD we are both with Scottish Power LJx
It’s applied to Scottish power few days after your DD payment is taken as you can see it added as credit balance and then it mysteriously disappears and after few days more appears in your bank account.
My DD was paid on 6th and got our £66 in bank on 14th. Scottish power look like being the worse for turnaround on this, I’m sure somewhere it said within 5 days of DD but that’s only the credit bit to your Scottish power account.
The later in the month you pay may mean you don’t get your £66 until the next month so November for some!

How strange. I thought it was just applied to your energy account and used towards your bill. Is it like that for all suppliers?
