We've had family visit tonight who we haven't seen since before the pandemic. It's such a surreal experience. I'm sure they thought I looked a lot older too😳
Rhosy.........just beautiful❤️
I got told I "looked like a mum" today 😳. I wasn't really sure how to take that. The chap who said it was old enough to be my grand dad, I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse 😂.
TM, I find that putting jam jars through the dishwasher makes the labels come off if you take them out whilst they're still hot.
Enterprise I hope tomorrow goes alright.
Dave thanks for the new thread, and if the person who's gone is the person I think it is then this forum will be a much more relaxing place to be.
Dont know if this is worth investigating. Flaire is a sort of wholesalers of small production/businesses stuff, and they are offering new 'businesses £300 free spend who sign up. The small businesses still get their money so it wont affect them. An example of the offer is here, many other small businesses have the offer, cant get my head round it as seems too good to be true. vie.faire.com/user/sign-up?signUp=1
Well our February challenge is drawing to a close. Thanks to snap for added inspiration, sc for her counting diligence and for every single one of you who posted a photo or told us a tale🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Just a thought........ there are times when the thread can be quiet. This is just an idea.. what do you call those photos that are taken from unusual angles and it's impossible to guess what the object is?
I think every now and then it would be fun trying to "guess the object"
But not a tin opener. Everyone does tin openers😂😂
Does anyone remember zippy posting that washing line thing on the outside of his house. It kept us going for days😂😂😂
I'll try and think on and come up with one or two for future use🤗🤗🤗
All day I've been considering what to post in the final challenge, what gives me joy. There are many things, obviously my cats, then my birds, they may be wild but I consider them my babies and I take care of them as if they lived indoors. They have the best blend of seed and quality nuts and I change the water in their bath daily. Then there is my music, I couldn't live a day without it. So I decided to choose the one thing in the morning I just have to do, my OCD insists upon it. My littlelest littley has an irresistible tummy, and I have to rub it every morning before my breakfast.
The first glitch I posted on MSE was the Magnum/Cornetto glitch. They were almost paying us to take them away in T's Express. My Mum got annoyed with me turning up with them because she didn't have room for "proper food" We had fun when Debs were giving us endless £5 vouchers with no minimum spend, who remembers that? I killed my printer working it so hard.
I remember them. What a challenge to find stuff which only cost £5 there! But I’ve still some of the stuff I ‘bought’.
Good evening everyone and thank you for the new thread Dave. Also thank you for all your good wishes re my eyes. Sorry to read there has been discord and well done for getting rid of the culprit. People are so nice on this forum, I just don’t understand. Anyway, I would just like to say a big thank you to Dave and Mods for keeping this a lovely place to spend many hours hours in.. It has been a lovely day here on the east coast, plenty of sunshine and just right for doing a bit of tidying up in the garden. Our mole situation is still ongoing, some of the hills quite honestly are worthy of climbing gear 😂. But hey ho we will keep on flattening them and moving the sonic mole spikes around the garden. I hope everyone is well and that dear tweets had a lovely birthday with Rosie long legs.
We did have a lovely birthday weather being nice helped thanks
If i fits i sits
What a beauty she is tweets and a lucky girl to have you as her mum 😍

Whaaaat! I must have missed the answer. I've mulled it over for years. Well how did that work? It looked like letter boxes or something for a bell.

OMG our moles are ongoing.... we keep trying to kill them but they keep dodging the traps.
Thanks DM for the new thread... ignore the haters x

I am also confused how it worked, was convinced it was letter boxes xx

Hey there TM…..I am going to try to learn this post images…..then you wanna change the goalposts before I’ve got the hang of it (haha washing line for instance) 🤪🤪
The 24 month has a higher standing charge and 5% discount for dd. 5% on £1000 covers the difference in standing charge.
Thank you for explaining - on my screen it mentions a discount for paying by Direct Debit but doesn't say how much 🤔.
I was switched to EonNext. It is tricky, as by opting in you are paying the higher price for March too (when it is colder), as I am assuming you can't sign up now and delay the start until April?
It does still seem we are being had, as they have loaded the standing charge so that we have no choice but to pay it, no matter how many efficiency measures we take 🤬. I read somewhere that £68 of the annual standing charge (18.6p per day, per fuel?), is paying to cover the 30 energy firms collapsing 😡.

Yer it's a terrible system which doesn't encourage best practice.
I've only fixed the electric so it works out an extra £25 for March for me, I'll transfer the gas in April.
I have a race this evening and the forecast is for heavy rain 😬. I've got to go though because it's the last race in a series and you need to have done 4 to count, and I've only done 3 so far. I've decided to be gentle on myself though and drive to it, rather than do the 40 mile round trip on my bike which is what I did last month 😂.

Good morning.
Dear GLITCH FAIRY, We could really do with a good glitch to take our minds off everything at the moment. Toilet rolls, wine, brandy, tia maria, meat, chopped tomatoes I never thought I'd need again but it would appear I'm almost through my 96 napolina ones. Anything puppy related would also be greatly appreciated too.
I hope zippy can tear himself away from the COS thread to tell us what was attached to the outside of his house. Was it a washing line, a letter box or something else?
Plus a photo would be very useful.
Thinking of you today E and hope everything goes as well as it can x
