Stressing out tonight, DS (Asperger's, dyslexia and more) is resitting GCSE English for the 7th time tomoz! Sooo want him to pass he needs it to stay on his college course. Won't sleep , if any of the elite can cross their fingers for him would be grateful, will have wine then early night will have to sit outside for hours in case he freaks out x

Sending positive thoughts... I do think there is too much focus on passing the GCSE.... I never got mine... but I did get a 1st class degree! Utter madness
I'm not surprised 🤣🤣🤣. How would you like it, lol?
He used to do all the vacuuming... and now he refuses, so it really backfired. I did get him other things as I am nice... I'm not sure what is the worst thing he done.. it is either the Christmas he got me absolutely nothing... resulting in me instructing him to book a holiday for my 50th... when he booked Alibaba hotel in Egypt... it was so bad I would not take my shoes off, and booked out the next day... with him moaning that I was being unreasonable as he followed me... but he loved the nice hotel I booked!
Windy here too, Sleazy! I got woken up before the dogs this morning!
Yes, Mini House Elf is 6' 2" SSM !
Went to Mr T yesterday afternoon, as I had a coupon going out of date. Virtuously did normal shopping. (The loo roll aisle was crowded!). The shop was busy, but the mood was sombre. I got lots of Clubcard prices and reduced veg, so £60+ total came down to £40+, plus some cashback items.
I made a massive chicken dinner, with cheesecake and raspberries for afters, using mostly reduced items. Stripped the chickens for stir fry lunch today, and the doggies have had a tasty breakfast.
I will be listing stuff on the Bay today, to pay for some equipment I have bought for a little business idea........why am I not a millionaire? 🤣
Also, researching early retirement.........I had a seminar booked for mid November, but that will be cancelled........Sigh.
Good morning all - thank you for the tea and toast Sleazy. We had appointments at the hairdressers this morning but got a call last night to cancel as our hairdresser is self isolating, they have been fab and booked us in at one of their other salons it is only 10 miles away so today I am thankful. Goodluck to your son Maz hope you managed some sleep.

Good morning. Well I've been payed back too, I was secretly looking forward to a month off work. I work Thursday and Friday so thought that was me off for a month and then my boss text me last night, can I work Wednesday 😪 that'll teach me won't it. We're off to sunny 🤞 Blackpool today to Sealife and then the illuminations, it was going to be the zoo but as its never stopped pouring we changed plans.
Oh Maz.....thinking of you today and sending your DS lots of positive thoughts x I like house elf's comment re college and might be worth looking into😊
I promise I'm not feeling morbid this morning but this just made me smile😂
Just doing a rough and ready calculation of buying a Shark at £300 to keep the maths simple. It would cost you £240 in O4A cards with 3% back from Airtime Rewards (=£9) and 2% back from ComSav (=£6).
Then buying the Shark online from Argos would give you 10% cashback from ComSav (=£30).
So £240-£9-£6-£30=£195. So your £300 Shark would cost you £195.
I think that's right but then maths isn't my strong point and think I over estimated the discount when I calculated the 25% off wine factoring the above in, so am happy to be corrected but still a decent discount, lol.
Morning all, hope the elite are well. Hugs to those that need one.xx Nice to see marmie found his way home not sure we should ask what he has been up to.
Maz sending lots of luck to ds Hoping he does well, its a bit unfair that if he is doing well on the course one exam should matter. Dd1 was in the same boat at school , was totally written of by teachers but went to college and then uni and is now a mentor for the council helping people who struggle to get into education or work . so there is light at end of tunnel for him just don't give in xx

That would be fantastic lol, though very much doubt if anyone would believe it with me I am way too boring.
We had a close call with Covid last week, OH's brother was meant to be letting the carer in to MiL's last Saturday but was late so the neighbour let her in, a few days later the neighbour tested positive. The carer she let in was the same one we had on Sunday, fotunately she tested negative though.

Back in the summer I mentioned that a friend had been diagnosed with MND. She had the most aggressive variant and was told she probably had 2-3 years left. Sadly she passed away yesterday morning aged 56, after a couple of weeks of hell 😢 Such a cruel illness 😕

Bonus items on this one. Also I think someone posted about qvc today's special value but don't know if it was cordless. I have them in my hotukdeals. I'm waiting on black Friday lol sharkvacuum.co.uk/#IZ201UKT
Thanks, yes I had the QVC one in my basket, but when I went to check out it said it’d sold out 😩
I already have a cordless Shark, but want another one with anti hair thingy.
Can’t multiquote, wanted to add bubbs comment too. I love my Shark for its suction power (compared to my old Dyson), but don’t like its clunkiness and how heavy it is, plus every few weeks the roller will grind to a halt and I have to take it out and cut all the wrapped around hair off, so the anti hair thingy is a joke to be honest. Good for the (short) dog hairs!

My friends from college (way back from the 1980s) are mainly nurses, and ICU nurses at that... we have morbidly had the 'see you on the other side' conversation....some are really struggling emotionally......I have instructions from two of them in case they don't make it...... we try to have Facetime weekly, but we are expecting the ones in the front line will disappear now like they did before. I am going to send this to them..... and highlight this is a way around the restrictions, hopefully it will put a smile on their faces!
Couldn't sleep listening to the wind, so been up ages! Tea and toast for all, plus a toasted and buttered teacake for Emerald ....
BobCat is fed and on my lap, OH food for school prepared, ingredients prepped for her cooked brekkie before we leave, my thyroid meds taken .... So I'm about done for now apart from taking tea in at 0530.
Stay safe and have a good day everyone!
Ohhhhh special Susie lol Thank you sleazy you remembered lol.

Positive vibes for maz’s son today 👍👍👍. Still really windy here but dry, looking forward to a blustery dogwalk a bit later.
I signed up with a similar offer during our first lockdown and it was really helpful at first, when we were afraid to visit supermarkets. But as time went on deliveries got later, got missed, or we got the wrong stuff, and yes the money side was always sorted out but it was just not a reliable service for me anymore. And so pricey compared to supermarkets, so I cancelled a few months in. Did bump into milkman the other day whilst walking the dog and he asked if I wanted any milk today .

Sorry for the lose of your friend hornet girl, horrible illness at least she is at peace now. Take care xx
HG Sorry for the loss of your friend Such a terrible illness It sounds cliché to repeat she is at peace now We had a similar discussion with a neighbour whose Dad had agrressive/violent dementia The family are glad he is at peace now but it takes time
