Stressing out tonight, DS (Asperger's, dyslexia and more) is resitting GCSE English for the 7th time tomoz! Sooo want him to pass he needs it to stay on his college course. Won't sleep , if any of the elite can cross their fingers for him would be grateful, will have wine then early night will have to sit outside for hours in case he freaks out x

I hope it goes well tomorrow. X
Marmie I'm intrigued to know what takes up so much of your time in the summer!
Or could you get more off if you bought Argos gc's and used them for an online order? Assume you can use Argos gc's online? If so you'd also get 10% cashback?

Sending positive thoughts... I do think there is too much focus on passing the GCSE.... I never got mine... but I did get a 1st class degree! Utter madness
I'm not surprised 🤣🤣🤣. How would you like it, lol?
He used to do all the vacuuming... and now he refuses, so it really backfired. I did get him other things as I am nice... I'm not sure what is the worst thing he done.. it is either the Christmas he got me absolutely nothing... resulting in me instructing him to book a holiday for my 50th... when he booked Alibaba hotel in Egypt... it was so bad I would not take my shoes off, and booked out the next day... with him moaning that I was being unreasonable as he followed me... but he loved the nice hotel I booked!

Im not sure how many Argos/O4A gift cards you can use on the Argos site, thought there was a limit, but I could be wrong.
I was hoping Argos might have Black Friday deals on the sharks, I bet they do, but the wrong ones lol.

Thanks hon, I know it's crazy, his dyslexia is "severe, as present in less than 1% of the population" but he sooo wants to do the course and they wont let him continue if he fails:(

I can’t tell you how handy the milkman is ..... I only have two pints a week and it’s my little luxury . We sometimes buy a four Pinter but one on Tuesday and one on Saturday keeps me in Tea no matter what and you can order online or change your order up until 9pm the night before . All bills are taken by dd and they are super good at refunding if everything isn’t perfect x

It is a complex learning difficulty.
DS1 is class F dyslexic, the assessor was amazed he could actually write his name... he used to ring every year to see how he was doing... with careful selection of subjects/courses, he did his GCSE, A level, degree and has had some of the best jobs in the world... I am sure your son will fly!

I stopped the milkman after so many many years. At first I missed it however the cost was so much more. I have tuned it down to a fine art now. We buy the Bob milk which has a huge use by date on. Our milkman got down to delivering 4 times a week and then went to direct debit only. That was the finish for me. I am quids in. I can understand for those who have no transport or do not live near shops though.

Good luck for tomorrow......DS2 has still not passed his GCSE English. He did get a very high score in his Dyslexia test though! .......He has just passed out of initial Navy training, and will start his training as a technician in a couple of weeks. He has found his niche, and is very happy. The Navy have been very supportive, and the GCSE English has not been a barrier.......I hope your sons college can be challenged under their inclusion policy if needed.

Yes, but you can get any value Argos gc up to £500, so would only need one. Oh, mind you they might stop selling gc's again this time round 🤔, so you might not be able to get before Black Friday unless you already have a stash of O4As? Although don't think they'd have to as bet Tesco and Sainsbury's etc will still sell theirs!
Just doing a rough and ready calculation of buying a Shark at £300 to keep the maths simple. It would cost you £240 in O4A cards with 3% back from Airtime Rewards (=£9) and 2% back from ComSav (=£6).
Then buying the Shark online from Argos would give you 10% cashback from ComSav (=£30).
So £240-£9-£6-£30=£195. So your £300 Shark would cost you £195.
I think that's right but then maths isn't my strong point and think I over estimated the discount when I calculated the 25% off wine factoring the above in, so am happy to be corrected but still a decent discount, lol.

Couldn't sleep listening to the wind, so been up ages! Tea and toast for all, plus a toasted and buttered teacake for Emerald ....
BobCat is fed and on my lap, OH food for school prepared, ingredients prepped for her cooked brekkie before we leave, my thyroid meds taken .... So I'm about done for now apart from taking tea in at 0530.
