I use Stugeron tabs from any chemist, and Joyriders for the kids, Gin Gins chewy ginger candy, fresh apples and ginger beer - it works for us, enjoy!
Another recommendation for Stugeron here! Best thing ever 😁😁
Omg how lush x I have just sent my son to collect from a brand new food waste hero quite near to his MIL . It’s her first time and two people requested identical items within minutes lol - think she is finding it tough but I have praised her efforts x

I was thinking that upstairs might need a general discussion thread too, or would that be too much. It was for discussing things that do not have their own thread and that we maybe do not want generally available as on here. Keep the specific threads as this will stop cluttering things up, but aa thread for thoughts and discussions of possibilities Any thoughts on this?

I take Kwells and they work really well. They work whether you take them in advance or if you have waited until you think you need them. take 20-30 minutes to work, but once they kick in they are ace.
Did anyone else get the free descaler I posted about?
Just doing my kettle now. It's a disgrace😳
I think the information on what I can see of the map is misleading. I stay in an area where they recommend descaling every 6 months??
I have had the same electric kettle for 10 years, same for the washing machine, an neither have any limescale, we have very soft water, and so does the area for at least 30 miles radius. The usual scare tactics of companies trying to sell products. Check a reliable source, as the map below suggests, check with your local water board if you are unsure.
It is like a door to door salesman that called at a local off duty police officer's house. He started off by showing his ID for a national alarm company. good idea. Then he said "As you may be aware there has been a lot of break ins to houses in the area in the past year...". Bad Idea Reply " That's strange, I am a police officer and there have not been any break ins in this area for at least 5 years" Salesman babbled a bit and left.

I am also in the midst of sorting the under stairs stash out. I've got as far as starting to empty and organise it on the dining room table and OH walks through and looks at it and says "Is this for the food bank in the morning"
The other day I figured out that OH has about 20 "man drawers" - 2 in the kitchen, 2 in my desk, a blanket box of various black wires, 5 in the sideboard, 2 glove boxes in the cars, bedside cabinet, drawer under the TV, various ikea storage boxes in the dining room etc - but I bit my tongue today and didnt respond by telling him to sort his own stuff out whilst I sort the pantry out ...

Incidentally its worth checking if you have Visa rewards, Halifax rewards etc - for spending in Waitroses I've got 5% cashback for using my Halifax debit card plus another 1% from airtime rewards

Thank you MrsMac. Friend is here changing the sheets on the bed for me. I can’t even get a pillowcase off by myself!😂😂😂
Hi everyone. I tend to wake at this time in order to take paracetamol. Amazing how the mind works. I realise I meant to tell you yesterday that a friend rang and mentioned that Asda is closing all its fish counters today, Saturday. Apparently this is nationwide. It may be that there are some excellent Woopsies today. It is very sad that I can’t get out of the house!!
They aren't officially due to shut until tomorrow but many will shut today, deliveries have been getting lighter all week to the point they may only get a few boxes in today. So unless you're already going in I wouldn't make a special trip. I'd like to know what they're actually going to do with the space. Maybe increase the grab and go counters because they're making lots of money for the stores.
Thank you for the confirmation. I do hope that some people get some bargains. My local doesn’t have a fish counter but Morries does and I hope that stays put.

Afternoon all It's miserable out, I think Dennis has arrived. Stay safe everyone who has to go out. I couldn't resist a little charity shop mooch this morning. I know I said no new clothes in February but I found a lovely grey M&S cardi for £1 that was just too good to leave sitting there 😔

Buy a John Lewis or Waitrose gift card (from Waitrose customer services desk) for Airtime and bank account cashbacks, then upload receipt to Zip Zero & use gift card for usual Waitrose shopping to generate further receipts for the apps.
You can specify any amount you like to be put on the gift card.
