ok thanks. got told to take antibiotics as a precaution. id rather had waited to "see" if i needed them as ive heard a lot about the overuse of them. anyway taking them.
Never know, they might have the added side effect of clearing up that strange rash you were telling me about
Oh Pandora bless you, I'm not sure how old your son is but I think they are all the same. My son went away for a few days with the school, he's room was awful. I emptied it😱 I took everything out, down the stairs in a room we didn't really use at the time, painted his bedroom and washed the curtains. He then had the pleasure of sorting through his shiit to take back upstairs, he wasn't expecting that on his return 😂
He's 20 and not the tidiest of people, unlike his sister who thankfully keeps her room neat & tidy. Whilst he was at college, I could pop in & give his room a quick tidy & clean during the day but he finished in June & has been in charge of his own cleaning since then. He's not too bad at bringing dishes down but only brings his washing when he runs out of clean clothes to wear
All the talk of fish skin crisps made me laugh because here in the snacks aisle in shops they sell whole dried fish next to the crisps! They're tiny little fish but whole, eyes and all. Apparently they're nice with a beer ;-).
Today will be our 4th day in Tokyo and it's been a lot of fun. It's such a massive city though we've barely scratched the surface.
Yesterday we went to the old fish market for breakfast. There are loads of food stands all selling different things, it's fascinating just to walk around. We tried a sardine fritter, sweet omelette on a stick, and grilled eel...also on a stick. Then we went to a beautiful garden and spent a couple of hours there, including stopping off in a traditional tea house with tatami mats on the floor. Later in the day we walked through Ginza which is where all the super spersonal touchery shops are like Gucci, Prada etc. Just for a walk around the streets and to visit the fancy food halls with lots of samples ;-). Then we went to see part of a traditional Kabuki play. Luckily you could rent a little box which showed the English translation, otherwise I would have had no idea what was going on.
The food has been great. For lunch we went to a ramen restaurant and had an enormous bowl of noodles, bean sprouts etc all in a broth. Then 'tendon' for dinner which was a bowl of rice topped with tempura veg, prawns and a whole soft boiled egg. I do love eating :-D.
I still haven't quite got used to the time zone despite going to bed at 'normal' time. I didn't really sleep well at all last night and eventually got up at 5am. I'm sure I'll adjust at some point!
Thanks DM, I will :-). I have a confession to make; I've never uploaded a picture to this site! Although to be honest I've only taken around 3 photos with my phone, the rest are on the 'proper' camera.

Hmmm, well, the land of technology is probably a good place to start
hello to you Freewheeling- your journey of discovery, well the food at least sounds amazing- as I said before I love reading your post so carry on please, but enjoy your holiday, we can all hear about your trip when you come back x
Good idea to not use lights. Is it raining or a plumbing leak?
You didn't feed this little fella after midnight a few days ago, did you?
Mice have chewed through the plastic radiator pipe😳
Bloody hell TM... you are having a run of bad luck.....but I have to admit, I have a dislike of the plastic piping... and there is miles of the stuff buried under concrete floor in the new house!
Oh,, today is also O2 free coffee at Caffe Nero from noon, or tomorrow from noon, your choice of which day to use.
Your choice so long as you can get there by around 4pm as they run out quickly - I rarely get there in time 🙁. It is okay though, I have "a few" from VC and the free one you just sent 🙂.
Morning all, sme app has done an update & now won't load on 2 of my devices, any1 else tia
Yes, after the update on all iOS devices. It resolved after a few times opening and force closing the app/pressing start, then opening again and using the middle refresh button in the bottom right menu to refresh.

Good morning all grey day here!
TM, suggest you stay in bed tomorrow
That said the mousehole should at least be a reasonably quick fix, duct tape wrapped around the pipe would at least temporarily sort it.
We have had all sorts of trouble from things being chewed, last night OH was called out to a client where the dog had chewed through the phone cable! We have had rats chewing through cable, there was one place where we had to put armoured cable down because the rats and mice would not leave it alone. We have had squirrels chew through cable in one loft, found one rather blackened where it had chewed through an electric cable too (owner had noticed some strange things with the electrics but ignored as house is several hundred years old and things happen).
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Home safely from a very enjoyable trip to Germany We saw the house his grannie stayed in, found out where to source more information on the family tree and toured around the places his mother would have gone as a child
This afternoon I am going to watch the wee one then the 3 others after the school run later Not seen the kids for almost a month Two week cruise and when we came back they had bugs that I did not want before our last trip
Well back to money saving as we spent a fair bit while we were away Just food but when you are starting from scratch it seemed a lot more for less items but TBH it was not expensive with prices similar or ours
Pandora laughed at the room cleaning Don't remember doing that after they were about 16 when I decided they could fend for themselves But as I still run after DS now I think my memory has been impaired by old age
TM What a terrible time you are having Glad you finally got into the garage and Oz is definitely not earning his keep
FW sound an azazing trip Enjoy the memories
Take care and enjoy the day
I am going to try and empty a freezer over the next few weeks in readiness for December

Good morning. Looks like Pizza Express may go under. They have massive debts. Time to use any vouchers up.
oh dear, not good and I have masses of vouchers and its a treck to our nearest. I think Pizza Express has always been our favourite one - lots of memorable family lunches and dinners there over the years ..
