Good evening, just had dinner and sat down for the evening, this seems to be the new pattern. Hubby didn't go to golf and we managed to get quiet a bit done. A friend called in for a coffee, it was nice to stop for a drink as once I start i put a wee stop off for as long as I can lol. We were watching the free fireworks display from our living room what a fantastic superise, hibbys now snoring. Our cat is not happy being stuck indoors, he will be even more unhappy when we drop him off to the cattery for a few weeks and he will have to stay indoors again when we collect him for at least another week, poor monkey. Thanks sleazy & silvercar I did manage to call the company and it's not a dual control, when the heating is on so is the water omg what a waste that is the 1st thing to tackle tomorrow. We knew the boiler was old, our neighbour did warn us we would probably find a lot of things to fix as she was tighter than a ducks a£@& unfortunately he wasn't wrong. Sue I am so sorry I can only imagine what your are going through, please ask and keep asking for help for your mum, do not leave them send your mum home without carers or some help being offered, I know you might not have the energy, please ask for help and keep asking, look after yourself. Hugs to poorly and those who need them, whether you post or keep silent big hugs. Xx

Good morning, lovely and dry here. I've put the kettle on and porridge going for any late risers. We have a lovely shed, I moved boxs out to sort it out yesterday, and they haven't pained inside, there is mould so that's todays job hopefully weather will be nice. Hubby said the wood should of been treated so hopefully will be ok once painted. A question if anyone can help, the system here although looks similar to our last one I can't get it to work independently if we switch the gas heating on the water must come on as it boiling, I purposely didnt turn the water on for 2 days and it is so hot, hubby had heating on thismorning I've just gone to see if I can programe the water but it only says programs, and the arrow only comes on on the right which is heating. On our previous one you pressed programs and it came up water or heating and you could do them individually realy stumped so any help tips greatly appreciated. Google isn't helping, It has Drayton lifestyle on the control box. Have a great day folks hugs to all and hope all are as well as can be. Xx
Reckon it's a combi boiler, so it's instant hot water - it just heats it as you run the water so it's not like it's heating a tank. You can turn down the temperature of the water on the boiler itself. It's cheaper than heating a full tank every time. HTH
Just popping in to wish you all the very best for the new month ahead - now that November is here!
Hope everyone celebrating Halloween had an enjoyable time yesterday. There are fab sale bargains in some shops for anyone needing Halloween and Autumnal bits, 75% off some lines in M&S and around 70% off in Tescos (have posted more details upstairs).
Very early start for me. We have a 4 hour drive ahead of us and a lunch appointment to keep.
Just to mention we had the Tesco Beef bourguignon last night and I didn't enjoy it. I'm still getting used to the Airfryer and fear I might have overdone it. It was tough. How long are people cooking it for. I did it for 11 minutes but now think that was the problem. Also thinking that I might use it for a pie filling and just heat it through to cook in the oven?
TM, I’ve not bought any this year yet but last year I remember cooking it in the slow cooker. I added more mushrooms and other veg too (someone else said more onions as well which I’ll try this year). I wouldn’t try it in the air fryer myself.

Good morning all, grey here again.
No plans for the weekend, apart from visiting OH. I perhaps spend a bit too much time there for myself, but he can do very little for himself and he also has double vision most of the time which means he can't do puzzles and watching videos is troublesome too. He does not like podcasts etc, or just listening to comedy on his phone, falls asleep part way through lol.
Still, the other one of his brothers may be coming up to see him so that will break it up a bit.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Tell me your secrets😀
I always fry off some more onion and mushrooms, sometimes adding some chopped carrots, then put the whole lot in the slow cooker for 3-4 hours and it has always come out tender and delicious. I think maybe the intense concentrated heat of an air fryer might be the problem there.
tweets , yeah there's a weird familiarity about Alli. I cant imagine she's terribly interesting 24 hours a day. Glad Dean went. Lily can you imagine all her customers thinking she serves up their food. A lot if growing up to do there.
I wonder who will win out of this lot. Ah at least their getting free food and electric for 6 weeks. We should maybe get a pensioners version lol.
lbclbc thank you , I guess my compassion just dealing with others at moment. I love the conversations with the customers. Poor people calling up as somethings gone wrong , I like putting them back in original position where possible.
And seeing Mr BB thriving also as his time is his own.
Little miss popping in this morning, she's been on mad shifts so be lovely to see her. We don't usually go this long without seeing each other.
Guess who is bottom again today i had the longest question i have ever seen in my life in any quiz would have taken me 20 secs read it all so i guessed answer and got it wrong
