Decorator was here just before 7.30am

Looked at my emails and got a tax rebate , won a waterproof phone case and being sent some blinds samples

I will get Alex put up my old blinds and measure a slat for me see if he gets same as me .

morning all

Extremely hot night so very little sleep and I feel like I'm just on auto-pilot today.

Had a lovely day out yesterday, although it was very hot so we spent a lot of it in air conditioned shops - bliss (the aircon, not the shops!) Lunch by the river was fabulous though as we sat outside in the shade with a bottle of wine and watched the world (and a lot of punts!) go by.

The trouble is though that Cambridge is now so full of tourists (and Chinese students!) on the punts and they do make a lot of noise. When we used to go on punts back in my youth it was so peaceful and quiet with just the sound of your hands running through the water and the birds singing. How things have changed.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and can manage to stay cool!

Littles have been watching S4C on the tv in case we move to Wales. I understand some schools solely teach in Welsh until year 3 and then introduce English as a second language so at least they wouldn’t go in completely wordless if that makes sense. I remember when we were in primary one of my friends moved home with her parents to France and they all attended French lessons for many months before they left.

Once they were there it was the opposite problem and she used to write letters back so that she could keep up with her English.

They are a joy to have may not see him as much since my mum RIP but we intouch loads  .

Looks like his mum according to people who know us both thank god doesnt look like his dad lol

I have a friend that brought her family from Poland many years ago.... her daughter entered school with one word 'toilet' as she deemed it was the most important word!

Decorator done , waiting for electrician now then tomorrow plumber fix radiator back and a new toilet seat not having that crappy one.

When i know its done apart from Alex putting mirror etc up i will get starting date for stairs decorator

Then stairs carpet and thats it til later in year or next year xx

I wouldn't have thought that happens in anywhere other than Welsh speaking areas. Even then I would have expected there be a choice of English speaking schools.
