Extremely hot night so very little sleep and I feel like I'm just on auto-pilot today.
Had a lovely day out yesterday, although it was very hot so we spent a lot of it in air conditioned shops - bliss (the aircon, not the shops!) Lunch by the river was fabulous though as we sat outside in the shade with a bottle of wine and watched the world (and a lot of punts!) go by.
The trouble is though that Cambridge is now so full of tourists (and Chinese students!) on the punts and they do make a lot of noise. When we used to go on punts back in my youth it was so peaceful and quiet with just the sound of your hands running through the water and the birds singing. How things have changed.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and can manage to stay cool!
DD3 said seller already taken all her solicitors details etc in to estate agent first thing Monday morning so she must be very keen. 👍
DD2 has had written confirmation her ex’s ID has been confirmed only taken nearly 3 months as he is out of the country and don’t think he really knew what he was doing. 🙄 Think it’s just the mortgage deed to be signed now thank goodness not relying on sellers/buyers in her situation so hopefully can put end to any contact with her ex for good. 👍
And finally DD1 have a second viewing booked from whoever viewed on Saturday plus their upstairs neighbours who rent have apparently contacted the estate agents showing interest too. 🤞🤞🤞
Morning Runny boiled eggs 😋 Are you still heading for a rural retreat lalli? Mr Rusty's counting down the weeks/days to retirement, do I start making a list now for him 😂
Still looking rural preferably.
Littles have been watching S4C on the tv in case we move to Wales. I understand some schools solely teach in Welsh until year 3 and then introduce English as a second language so at least they wouldn’t go in completely wordless if that makes sense. I remember when we were in primary one of my friends moved home with her parents to France and they all attended French lessons for many months before they left.
Once they were there it was the opposite problem and she used to write letters back so that she could keep up with her English.
Looks like his mum according to people who know us both thank god doesnt look like his dad lol
My DS looks so much like his dad, which is both a blessing (as he was a very handsome chap!) and a sadness that he is no longer around to see what a kind, funny, generous, talented and all round amazing human being his son has become. He would be so very proud of him and his achievements.

I have a friend that brought her family from Poland many years ago.... her daughter entered school with one word 'toilet' as she deemed it was the most important word!

His dad will be looking down on him and know what his son is like and beaming with pride bless
Has anyone heard anything about the lotto doing the £25 off days out again this year, or do we recon it wont be happening with it being taken over by a different company?
Great excitement, air ambulance landing in the park!
Neighbour grabbed me to ask about the machete bike boys, apparently they’d been shooting out car windows at the other side of town where her friend lives but the police managed to get four of them before anyone was harmed.
Hopefully that’s the end of it and we don’t end up spending the summer running home every time the police helicopter flies past like last summer 🤦😩

I wouldn't have thought that happens in anywhere other than Welsh speaking areas. Even then I would have expected there be a choice of English speaking schools.

I mean most of Wales is a Welsh speaking area, it’s their national language. But either way, the areas in Wales we’d be looking at would likely have one school and it will be a Welsh Medium school so no harm in learning a bit. I’d never want to be someone who goes to another country and demands everyone else speaks to me in English.
