Weather's the same here Heating is on and big fluffy snoodie worn most evenings
DH is away walking just now No idea when he left but he will be away at least three hours His Xrays showed floating bits of bone around his knee Awaiting a GP appointment to discuss a private MRI and maybe surgery The man is seriously down as he cant run
Some shopping then out to see friends for a cuppa later She picked up melatonin for us whilst in Turkey then we will go into see DS and family Their car is off the road just now so difficult for them to come to us
We are looking at a cruise next month once the ex rental has concluded
To those on holiday enjoy the sunshine everyone else just wrap up well
Love it JTS. Many, many, moons ago my friends BF worked backstage at the City Hall and got us seats on the stage at a Lindsfarne Christmas gig!
Not wanting to make you even more homesick but last week we walked from Cullercoats to Whitley Bay... I wouldn't recommend it, it was fecking freezing and the wind was much more than blustery!
I do have fond memories of the Spanish City when I was a kid, I remember one kiss..... No keepsake though!
Awh!! I used to live a stone’s throw from the Spanish City. Loved to walk along to Cullercoats to see the Lifeboat Station. But every Sunday morning used to walk the other direction to St. Mary’s Lighthouse. 🥰
My step daughter and her family moved to Tynemouth 2 years ago so we are gradually being introduced to the area. It’s a lovely place for our grandchildren to grow up in. They moved there from Nottingham
Got a lie in this morning and woke to the sun out trouble is grass mud in Rosie's doggy garden is wet so can't let her in to play it needs to dry a bit more.
Home and washing in machine as a gorgeous day here Hopefully it will be as nice in Cardiff for Mr Springsteen 😁
Slight stress at station as our train was due to come in, wait 15 minutes & go then back out out the way it came in... But in-between was a train to Chester 🤔
😳
But thanks to access to insider train timetables 😎 I worked out our train splits & 2 carriages go up the line to Chester & our 2 go back to coast 😶🫡
Cheese, onion, cucumber sandwich for lunch. Now it's nap time lol
This morning was ok - next county for fuel (143.9 as opposed to 148.9 here), so 30+ litres saved me £1.50. Wetherspoons full brekkie with coffee and enough to bring 2 Quorn sausages home £4.18, cheaper than just a muffin & coffee here! Found a till spit in Sainsbury for £6 off £40, found some reduced TU trousers to bring total just over £40, and just reserved a TGTG bag from Greggs to pick up later (will report what's in it).
I'm on the sofa for the 4th day with manky cold, sore throat, earache, and sinus... I'm band from doing anything as I'm clumsy with it atm.
I've been without a washing machine for 10 days....OH ordered a part, then decided the circuit board is b*ggered. So I have the task of searching for a new one.... if only I could concentrate 😬 I've looked at them only to start longing for the old twin tubs, which just washed clothes instead of being mini computer systems.
Four days can seem like a lifetime with the symptoms you describe.
Good luck with finding a washing machine that isn't all singing, all dancing and with flashing disco lights. xx
I tried that last year, gave up and got one that did what I wanted it to do. They all have child locks now too!
Just had some home made red currant wine from 2005. Very nice it was too. Slightly concerned about the red curran wine we have currently on the go, it has been fermenting since before Christmas
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
Visitor's left, so I've also left, 🤣🤣 now in my hut. Have been to big town snap?, I've not been into big town for probably three years 😱, I go to the shops outside town.
Hope you feel better soon SSM, maybe lie on the sofa longer to save going down the river to wash 🤣.
Seem to be getting better over the shingles. Can open left eye completely now. Lots of nice looking (not)scabs on the left side of forehead and scalp but not itchy, so antivirals seem to have worked their magic. Weather dry yesterday and today, so managed to cut the grass today. Just did it without grass box quickly before feeling weak again. Can go over it again later in the week with grassbox, as suppose to be getting some 20C days so should dry off nicely. Ready for next weekend when suppose to be nice weather and got family gathering for DS and DB birthday planned. Like having the gatherings in the garden, don;t have to worry to much about crumbs getting everywhere in the house lol.
LBC thanks for breakfast. We are going to little miss' house to do some DIY.
I say we, it's more her and her Dad. Not sure I ever mentioned. They are so similar. They look a like. She always did. They get along so well. They play tricks on each other and the cheek between them at times. Omg.
Last week they were installing a mirror and a curtain rail and I was sat downstairs sewing pillows for her. The conversation between them went thick and fast, the laughing as things first of all didn't go well and the relief when it did.
As a mum sat listening, its super endearing. Made me smile and want to cry at same time.
I've got a daddy's girl as well. They go out for brunch without me😂😂😂😂😂
I was a Daddy’s girl and have fond memories of our Friday lunches in places that no longer exist. The sort of places with dusty velvet and smart waiters but they weren’t expensive and their lunchtime specials were a feast that made me want to snooze at my desk in the afternoon. It saddens me that hubby is quite different and favours the boys although he spoils the youngest daughter. I think women are a bit of a mystery to him and he doesn’t “get them”
He wants to come and sit outside Weatherspoons in town centre near me
Will hear some language and more lol
Glad you managed to book in
And what's wrong with Wetherspoons? Oldham excepted.
There’s some lovely ones. We have three, no four in the area and all different. I remember going to one in Paisley, The last Post. Beautiful old building with period features and the same name as one locally which is also a converted post office.
My niece is in hospital with suspected meningitis 😬 Intravenous antibiotics being administered & lumbar puncture tomorrow Fingers crossed please 🤞🤞 for viral meningitis ❤️🩹

Oh, that's not good.
But why on earth wait till tomorrow for a lumbar puncture. When I took ds2 at 8 months to the GP with a rash, he sent us straight to A&E. As we entered the door, they shouted was he x, grabbed him and ran. He was surrounded by doctors, whilst he had a lumbar puncture at the same time they were trying to get intravenous drips in him.... eventually, they got one in his head. It was only then we were allowed in the room with him. We were told it was hour by hour... although he had and still has muscle damage to his leg (through trying to get a drip in) and is hard of hearing, he made a wonderful recovery
We were very lucky and had sunshine all day yesterday, it was absolute bliss. I went out for a run in the morning then spent all afternoon down the allotment. There’s still loads to do down there though.
Today is grey and damp and we’re off with our walking group for a 26 mile walk. I’m hoping it doesn’t rain all day!!
Thank you for the tea fw😊😊😊😊
I need to get into your mindset with this weather. A work colleague always says " there's no such thing as bed weather you just need to wear the right clothes"😂
maybe I need a new wardrobe😂
It enrages me when people say that 😆. Sometimes the weather is just plain awful, no matter what you’re wearing!!
Anyway, the weather actually ended up not too bad at all yesterday and we had a lovely walk. Although it ended up being 27 miles and up every single hill in the area 😆. I was exhausted!
I’m back off down the allotment today, there’s so much to do 😬.
