Ended up with 4 bags of casserole vegetables and was wracking my brain for something to make with them because the children don’t prefer things that are wet or mushy. Eventually had a lightbulb moment and threw the whole lot in the air fryer. The vegetables don’t know they’re supposed to be in a casserole anyway so now we have some lovely roast potatoes, carrot, swede and leeks that will be gobbled up with a small sprinkling of cheese and a few slices of leftover beef.
Thank you for asking about Dad Very bright & perky this morning Dr came at 9pm & was excellent - spent an hour getting to the bottom of ailments. Took time to review his medication. Dehydration from too many pills & loose tummy from antibiotics, had Dad 'washed out' any goodness like sodium It is a balancing act as his heart gives him water retention...
Happy New Year to all the elite and thankyou for everything you all post, glitches, good and bad times, health problems, pet updates, family issues, help and advice. You are all truly the best.

Happy New Year Elite friends may you and your families find peace and happiness this coming year. And hopefully find a bit of Elite wealth along the way too, be it toothpaste, salmon or whatever comes next 😉.
Just blanching sprouts for the freezer. My future self will thank me at some point over the winter when I'm making a roast and have no greens in the house.
Boil for 3 minutes. Cool down quickly with cold water. Freeze separately in the freezer if possible then bag up
Well first day of the year and I’ve spent £8.52 on bread, milk and cucumbers. Suppose that leaves me enough in the £10 budget for a bag of bananas at the end of the week.
Think I really need to start making my own bread again! Guess it’s time to dig the bread machine out of the cupboard 🤦😂

I’ve already done my eight bags of Olio overs in exactly the same way but didn’t have room or inclination ( read lazy moo)to freeze separately so I’ll just bash them on the floor to separate, lol. Happy new year everyone ….. first born is 38 today and we’re off to early dinner at a fab Chinese buffet….. I’ve had to step in to cover one of my Olio team so hopefully I’ll be back !
I’ve just been told that I qualify for the community hub which is similar to food bank but mostly packet items. I will feel terribly guilty if I do go as I can just about manage but if I pluck up courage I’ll be looking for these items and washing powder as that’s what I am desperately short of . It’s the new utility bills that are scaring me as I’m going into new year with quite a deficit and really need to do some repairs to the house to stop it from imploding .
Oh well he s had his stitches out of his neck for the two growths there one was rather large considering it was only two weeks from nothing and that had 9 stitches in and the smaller one that was noticed in the day had two stitches.
He s got an appointment with the podiatrist at the hospital tomorrow morning and next week he sees his consultant again and two days after that he sees the rheumatologist to decide on how many tablets he can take. Later on in the month he sees a specialist dentist so it's still all go.
I go away for what feels like a few hours and come back and find a year has passed and everyone has moved.
Echoing thanks to the mods and the elite for making (the possibility of) early retirement much more of a reality and providing so much support along the way.
I am thinking now we are 18 perhaps we might ask for some alcohol glitches (says the guy who barely drinks but did send his DDs off to their NYE parties with a litre of Southern Comfort each)
Yes I could do with both of those too and toothpaste. I didn't think I'd ever need to buy toothpaste again but we're on our last tube.
Lol, I'm assuming that's either a joke or you don't have an Asda?! 🤔
Echo lots of previous sentiments on here. HNY to all and a happy, healthy, glitchy one hopefully.
Also echo thanks to mods and other kind folk on here who offer virtual hugs, actual, physical sharing as well as virtual sharing in terms of how to and sharing learned experiences and finds 😘
Don't think we have a general cb thread but there's 10% cb at Morrison's on Lloyds at the moment. I think they're single use tho the Lloyds ones IIRC? But still, a free fiver is better than nowt. Ends 28/4.
Actually, it doesn't say single use on the Morrison's one like it does on the Spar one 🤔 which incidentally is also 10%, ends 15/4. I assume Spar do cb too?
