Car MOT due at end of December, I'm sure that garages will be busy after lockdown and at the start of winter, so have booked a service and MOT for the first Friday in December.

My extended one was due in the middle of November but fortunately I got it done on the 22nd October. Good job I did although I had no idea that it all may change again at the time!
Crikey looks like we are going on holiday to Tenerife on Friday! Tui just emailed to say its still on. I havn't even dug out the suitcases yet.
What? How? Are you in England?
If so, I thought all holidays were banned. I'm still waiting to see if the airline pulls my flight for thisweekend or if I have to cancel for a voucher. It's like playing a game of who will blink first.
If the legislation against holidays isn't happening I need to get packing fast!
If you are going, perhaps from Scotland or Wales, check your travel insurance is if the FCO advise against travel it may not cover you. I tried to see what would happen if I moved my flight forward to avoid the lockdown and the insurance wasn't having any of it, as I knew that the restriction was coming in. I tried to argue that I was moving the date to avoid being banned but they weren't interested.

I ‘think’ that russetred lives North of the Border so holidays may still be allowed ?

Hillbern that's such a shame about your grandchildren, but at least you did get to see them briefly :-). That's very organised with the Christmas presents, I haven't started thinking about that at all yet .
We went to go and see my sister for dinner last night. I've been making the most of being able to see people while we still can!
Morning all. Happy birthday Bubbs. Have a great day. DNiece birthday today too and DD best friend. Think I say that every year haha.
Sunny here. Glad I did a big leaf sweep up yesterday as been raining overnight and would have been a messier job today Did it with the lawn mower on high lol. Put some in plastic bags to hopefully turn into something nice for the soil. Got a giant sycamore tree near my house (not on my land thankfully) but all the leaves seem to make their way to my driveway grrrr. Hate sycamore trees and forever pulling up sycamore seedlings. Heard them described as weeds of essex. Very appropriate lol

Always best to get done. They could of been done all through last lockdown anyway. The instructions were for cars to be kept in good roadworthy condition. Some people would not know what good roadworthy condition means. As you probably are aware that all it takes for an insurance to not pay out would be to implement this.

We have a big sycamore nearby too, gain constantly pulling up seedlings! They are a right PITA.
There are 3(!!!) large sycamores surrounding us. They're horrendous for seedlings,I agree. I just nipped into the garden at lunchtime and there are 1000s of seeds everywhere after the gales 😠🙈

Not at the garage I have used for years as they closed for the duration of the lockdown and a while afterwards as well. I thought all garages closed during that period which was why they extended the MOTs? If they'd been open they didn't need to extend them.
