Positive vibes for mazโs son today ๐๐๐. Still really windy here but dry, looking forward to a blustery dogwalk a bit later.
I signed up with a similar offer during our first lockdown and it was really helpful at first, when we were afraid to visit supermarkets. But as time went on deliveries got later, got missed, or we got the wrong stuff, and yes the money side was always sorted out but it was just not a reliable service for me anymore. And so pricey compared to supermarkets, so I cancelled a few months in. Did bump into milkman the other day whilst walking the dog and he asked if I wanted any milk today .

You were lucky to even know your milkman. Our main one for over 20 years was fantastic. The new one for the last 18 months,I never saw them once. Just realised what I have said. Milkman our last one could have been a woman๐คฃ Such a shame really there were 2 things I always tried to tell the kids to keep up Milk delivery and School meals. Just to support a tradition.
Sending positive thoughts... I do think there is too much focus on passing the GCSE.... I never got mine... but I did get a 1st class degree!ย Utter madnessย
He used to do all the vacuuming... and now he refuses, so it really backfired.ย I did get him other things as I am nice... I'm not sure what is the worst thing he done.. it is either the Christmas he got me absolutely nothing... resulting in me instructing him to book a holiday for my 50th... when he booked Alibaba hotel in Egypt... it was so bad I would not take my shoes off, and booked out the next day... with him moaning that I was being unreasonable as he followed me...ย but he loved the nice hotel I booked!ย ย
Sounds like they could have done with the vaccum!
Yeah it's just giving it as a Christmas present ๐๐
Back in the summer I mentioned that a friend had been diagnosed with MND. She had the most aggressive variant and was told she probably had 2-3 years left. Sadly she passed away yesterday morning aged 56, after a couple of weeks of hell ๐ข Such a cruel illness ๐
That's really sad, HG. Must be awfully hard for the family.
Oh Maz.....thinking of you today and sending your DS lots of positive thoughts x I like house elf's comment re college and might be worth looking into๐
I promise I'm not feeling morbid this morning but this just made me smile๐
My friends from college (way back from the 1980s) are mainly nurses, and ICU nurses at that... we have morbidly had the 'see you on the other side' conversation....some are really struggling emotionally......I have instructions from two of them in case they don't make it...... we try to have Facetime weekly, but we are expecting the ones in the front line will disappear now like they did before.ย I am going to send this to them..... and highlight this is a way around the restrictions, hopefully it will put a smile on their faces!ย
Might be worth sending them the link to the one of Dr John Campbell's videos where he talks about all doctors and nurses who had tested positive still had the T cells necessary to fight off coronavirus months later. I'm paraphrasing and he explains better, but he suspects due to repeated exposure, so sounded very positive about immunity being long lasting.

I kept my milkman for years, mainly to support the round so it didn't disappear. I stopped when the milkman changed and the new guy started delivering around 10am. Claimed he couldn't see the street names if he was out too early! I thought that if I have to wait til 10am for my milk I may as well buy it in the supermarket.

Sorry to hear this. I had a relative who died within a few months of diagnosis of MND over 20 years ago. Having seen many programmes about it since, going swiftly may have been a blessing. Horrible disease.
Is anyone still waiting for the latest Green Jinn offerings to stop being in review please . Mine is ยฃ13.
Yes emerald, I have a ยฃ10 receipt for those disgusting Remedy Kombucha drinks still in review since 26th October. I am actually going to return them to Tesco, as have opened DH's ones, and we will not be drinking them. Thought a refund would be best just in case GJ dont pay out. I am also still owed ยฃ3 from GJ from when they credited me ยฃ3 instead of ยฃ6 for the Soda folk, and despite sending 3 messages they have not even responded.
I have received a gift voucher for ยฃ15 from the charity that I volunteer with They have a lot of volunteers each one getting a voucher plus a puzzle pack which was posted out I will repurpose the voucher but don't feel that this is the best way to spend their resources So many charities struggling Maybe its just me ?
Nothing exciting planned but the morning has just disappeared Need to sort out banking so that's after lunch

Just wanted to mention Olio down here (Poole/Bournemouth) seems to be awash with collection shots from loads of Ts Expresses. Might be the same elsewhere in the country.
Sadly I canโt take a slot on myself as I canโt guarantee how well Iโd be with my knee. But I guess more so that Mr TS would probably want a divorce. Heโs mad enough when I bring home few bits from a FWH, I thought heโd be more receptive with the Ethos of Olio but sadly not.

I think it really was a blessing. It's just hard to get my head around, she went downhill so fast but I wouldn't have wished two years of what she suffered in the last few weeks on my worst enemy. It really is a horrible disease.

Morning all. Sunny here. Glad I did a big leaf sweep up yesterday as been raining overnight and would have been a messier job today Did it with the lawn mower on high lol. Put some in plastic bags to hopefully turn into something nice for the soil. Got a giant sycamore tree near my house (not on my land thankfully) but all the leaves seem to make their way to my driveway grrrr. Hate sycamore trees and forever pulling up sycamore seedlings. Heard them described as weeds of essex. Very appropriate lol
