Thought all this was stopped years ago. Reminds me of the old Teletext holidays that used to come up on the screen. Never got what was advertised. Once I got so annoyed I tried to force them to tell me as to what holiday that was advertised. Where was it ? When departure etc etc. They put the phone down on me. Just remembered something here......Asda does this at the end of their aisles. It states from !!
On a similar theme it's like those offers in Tesco where it says 10p or something and then on small print per cup ๐
They are cheeky - they change the measurement on the SEL, even for the same type of item, which makes it more difficult to compare prices.
Cheeky Santander - tried to downgrade my 1-2-3 online and they have replied saying (DW) will have to call to do it. If they didn't want to lose customers perhaps they shouldn't have got so mean with the interest rate whilst keeping the fee so high.
Hope it is a clean link... but I have no idea what that means... other than I don't want to be sat on the thinking chair!
Got to be in it to win it
I went to order DS2 a pack to be delivered to his house... but it would not let me complete this... fingers crossed my first order arrives as DS3 eats this like it is going out of fashion!

Are you changing it to the 123 lite account?
Trying to - we have our mortgage with them so get 1% cashback on that or 4.89pm so worth having.

You also get household bills
1 DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT FOR MORTGAGE AT 1,00% CASHBACK 1 DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT FOR WATER AT 1,00% CASHBACK 1 DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT FOR GAS & ELECT. AT 2,00% CASHBACK 1 DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT FOR COUNCIL AT 1,00% CASHBACK 2 DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENTS FOR COMMS AT 3,00% CASHBACK
This is what my account shows... so around ยฃ13+ profit each month (with council tax alone we are in profit... sadly).
I'm sure when I read it that the mortgage is capped at ยฃ10 a month cashback, so I've just upped my monthly repayments to make the most of this... I know it is just a few pounds but as I am focused to getting it paid off, it seemed sensible to me.
I also wonder if the 2% cashback on gas and electricity could be used for those who over pay to get the interest (think it is with bulb)... we are trapped into a provider for 12 months (as they did free connection whilst others wanted to charge nearly a grand).

It's not bulb , it begins with an o, googled Ovo ๐

Except under the new T&C it is a max of ยฃ5 in each of the percentage bands so mortgage+Water+council tax total max ยฃ5 cashback, gas and elec max ยฃ5 cashback and comms max ยฃ5 cashback. It may be worth having a second lite so that mortgage and council tax plus water can both be up to ยฃ5.

Bottom... when do these come into effect... I have had the normal payments this month. I will split the bills into two as you recommend... make OH pay some of them for a change!! lol
That Nutella looked like a good deal but canโt get it now, only available fore more than ยฃ20. Well for me anyway.
And thought I had done well, harvesting seed from a lil baby plum tomato, drying it and then growing a dozen or so plants in a few weeks. Got DD to drop some off to MIL, she tells me they have tomato blight . Didnโt even know what it was, googled it, and theyโre doomed. Might have been recycled soil or wet weather, dunno, am a bit peeved now. But it may not have been my fault, this fungus can just happen apparently. My lil pepper plants are ok so far, and I have some other tomato plants I am keeping well away from mine. Boohoo.
Did another Aldi foodshop just before 9pm last night, no queue, not many customers, no stress! Well just at the end, can never keep up with the record-breaking-speed scanning . No eggs, no flour, but got everything else. Keeping family fed seems a full time job these days. Am still training them in food rotation and using oldest milk first, is uphill battle . I think DS is worst he is only 22 .
All clouded over here now but OH managed to cut grass before any rain arrives, no doubt it will grow doublequick again. Off to feed dog, then see to dinner of pulled pork in SC.

I switched to an evening visit at Adli last week too, much more civilised and no queues ๐. They had run out of bananas on offer, but had everything else on my list ๐.
Thank you to the OP - ยฃ100 giftcard and ยฃ120.75 cashback received, ยฃ153 paid out, so I will hopefully get some of the May payment refunded when so cancel tomorrow, as payment was only taken on Friday.
I only did this to get the annual service, which is normally around ยฃ75, and also had a repair done to the pump, so hopefully it will near balance out ๐.
Annoying that it took 21 weeks for payment, not the 14 the TCB page suggested - that cost another ยฃ51 as I didn't want to risk cancelling before payment received, despite it being Confirmed a few months ago.

This is interesting if you have never had a American Express Preferred Rewards Gold in the last 24 months - twice the bonus points and 6 months to reach your target spend. Headline also says you can convert your bonus points into ยฃ100 Amazon and the offer ends June 30th - so 6 months would include your pre-Christmas spends. You can also top up some electric bills eg Bulb and Ovo using your amex card.

PIB that's a shame about your tomatoes. Were they growing outside? I used to get blight every year, but never since we got a greenhouse and now grow them in there. I never got blight so early in the year though .
We went for a lovely walk today. Although there was a lot of low cloud and a bit of drizzle. I've got my feet up now :-D.

Whereas I actually need to change my home breakdown supplier because the 12m is up and there are no big CB, giftcard or any other offers about at the moment - I thought this was just the time of year they ran promotions

9000 for referring too if an existing customer wants to recommend their partner, and an extra 2k points bonus for the referred, so 22k points ๐.
If anyone doesn't have someone to refer them to get started, I would be happy to refer you by PM ๐.
I am not 100% sure but you may find a 24 month gap is not required ๐.

It always used to be 20k points until the offers were downgraded. It also used to be a 6m gap to be a new customer. I closed a Gold MR last week - I am not confident that I would get a new bonus offer if DW referred me in the next month or so - plus of course those who have benefited have said the offer is hidden so you make the spend without knowing whether you will actually get the bonus points or not. edit: It is a good offer, I am also happy to refer, I always cash the points out to Nectar and then get double value in the double up so potentially ยฃ220 value if you get referred.

Nice one, My mrs will be coming up to her 6 month break next month, so could apply for her, altho I may leave it till later in the year to take advantage of the airport lounge passes next year as we won't be going abroad this year ,
I also fairly confident a lot more of these type of offers will start coming thru as the economy takes a nose dive and companies will be vying for our custom ...
There will also be some good sales later in the year when the shops re-open as stores try to offload stock they have been unable to shift during lockdown

For the third time today I've missed an ยฃ8.50 Prolific survey ๐
A little bit annoyed with Boots. I didn't get in to pick up a small order just before we went into lockdown. So just left it assuming a refund would automatically follow. Well it didn't so I've been chasing them for a refund. Just had an email back to say that the store records show that I collected it๐ก
TM i wouldn't be ashamed you wanna see me little dollop of ice cream i had last night ๐คฃ๐๐๐ This is complete syn free on SW as it's made with ff greek yoghurt and a handful of berries, i don't usually have a big pile like this but bought a new ice cream maker (very expensive!!) as my other one broke and use the same amount of yoghurt and this whips it better
TM, how bust was it when you went? I went about 3pm and the queue was just reaching the corner. I do not think going later would make any difference, as they were putting stuff out while I was there too, so think it goes on all day. I did get a free box of innocent smoothies though, and as many eccles cakes as I could carry.
I was there just after 7.30am for an 8am opening but it had opened sooner as the queue was moving. When I got inside I asked about opening times and they said that they tried to open earlier if a queue was building. The queue was round the unit when I got there.I asked about bank holiday opening elaine but they didn't know and said just to check the website
