I saw my two youngest grandchildren today. It is my granddaughter's ninth birthday. I asked her (from a two metre distance), if she was having a lovely birthday. She said yes but for three things. One, I can't hug you, two, the Coronavirus hasn't gone away and three, I didn't get a live unicorn. At least I was number one.
It was quite warm when I was gardening wear lier but I have furry leggings and a hoodie on. Looks sunny in all the photos although I think I've now been desensitised, it was like looking through WI calendar but with men folk with strategically placed chainsaws.
Think shes on about the GW FB group lol. It was naked gardening day and was surprised the number of people of a certain age posing strategically lol

I have to admit.... not showered or cleaned my teeth today. I will not tell you about the video meetings I have had this week, my standard of hygiene, dress and the state of the bedroom I was in! SSM hangs head in shame!
Good news is that you can now choose your background in Teams as well as Zoom and there is a workaround to add your own photo rather than just the standard one.
Being easily pleased I have been looking at whether you can also download voice-changer software so that you don't sound like you have just woken up and rolled out of bed and into the 10am briefing and if you could only apply snap filters to deal with the eye bags I would be sorted....
Evening all. It's been so cold today, washing still out and not dry yet!
If anyone takes loratadine for hay fever then chemist4u have it back in stock. I've been unable to get any for weeks. 6 x 30 tablet packs £4.75 with free delivery. Next cheapest I could find was £12 plus delivery. Both OH and DS take these.
Disappointed that I'm completely out of white wine so definitely shout if you find a bargain please!
I take ceterizine and ordered some on April 22nd from pharmacy first, but not arrived yet. They said up to 10 days so will chase it next week - thanks for the reminder.
Strangely I ordered some of these yesterday - I finished my last Cetirizine about a week ago (well I thought I had an old 30 pack but it said BBE Apr 2010 and even I decided that was a step to far so I switched to some desloratadine (supposed to be a newer, better formulation, prescription only) but find it (a) makes me very drowsy and (b) doesn't seem as effective (although the latter may be because these things take a few days to build up to the full therapeutic dose). When I am not properly protected (and sometimes even when I am) and I get a really big trigger like hedge trimming conifers or peeling potatoes my symptoms go crazy, so much sneezing, snot and eye watering I am not good for anything else until I take some liquid antihistamine or piriton on top but then I am zonked out like a light.

Slung over their shoulders like real men?
I refuse to even get the strimmer out unless I am wearing proper shoes, long trousers and sleeves and my glasses (I know I should really have eye protectors, I am amazed to see people use these tools in flipflops and shorts - clearly I have a better imagination than they do.
The Pandora shops(when they were open) have all their stuff in the windows and shop with VERY tiny price tickets on each item priced individually “from”...Grandaughter spent ages looking for a gift got the money together then found out it was “from” it was a further £10 more. I really think this should be illegal I was furious.
Yes, very annoying but not alone. Even TCB and Q are at it now with up to £X cashback for deals, despite that not being available for what it states. For example CPW on Q with up to £100 on handsets and SIMs - the maximum for a sim is £40. Very misleading.

Thought all this was stopped years ago. Reminds me of the old Teletext holidays that used to come up on the screen. Never got what was advertised. Once I got so annoyed I tried to force them to tell me as to what holiday that was advertised. Where was it ? When departure etc etc. They put the phone down on me. Just remembered something here......Asda does this at the end of their isles. It states from !!
Did my monthly money go round today. I see the new Halifax rewards doesn't start till the July but I downgraded my last Sant 123 today as 5th May is the day it changes.
Can I be bothered to open a HSBC savers for 3 kids for £27 each, seems to be in branch only and possibly needs the kids in branch
Otherwise money is now earning between 2.5% (5k the two new NW), 2% (40), 1.75% (40 but need to put this up to 75), 1.6% (100) and 1.45% (the rest - this is also immediate online access unlike the rest which is all limited withdrawals or branch account management). this is not ideal when the money is costing 1.94% (and don't mention the fact that rates of 1.59% are currently available but not to me because of ERC)
We went to Asda at the right time earlier this week and all the large loaves were 10p, so I got a malted loaf. I can't make it for that price!
MKS your loaf looks lovely. Homemade bread is delicious :-).
Just be careful with reduced bread, as it can be false economy if you won't eat it immediately - bread is going mouldy quickly are the moment, as I found this morning 😨.

Oh no! How disappointing. Luckily we never seem to get mouldy bread. This particular loaf is from Tuesday and it's still fine.
TM, what amazing bargains. I wish we had one of those near us.
Reduced bread - we keep it in the fridge during warm weather

Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday. I am going to get up and go for a walk as it is supposed to rain this afternoon. When I get back I have promised myself that I will wash the kitchen then finish the rest of the inside windows and clean the bathroom and cloakroom. What an exciting life I lead
Did you not see the HUGE tubs of natural yogurt? I got one for making flat breads.
Oh no....missed that. Were you there? Was that you 3 up in the queue from me in the maroon dungarees?
😳😊
I did wonder about going so early as they were still stocking the chiller cabinets. Before I came out I had another walk along past them and all sorts of stuff had been added. Maybe better to go a little later.
The only disappointment was the Granola. It has pieces of ginger in it🤢 that can't be picked out.
when I go back again I'm going to have a good look around the gifts as I might be able to get some Christmas goodies.there were some lovely gift packs and candles. I must admit that I felt guilty when they kept announcing that we should shop efficiently and quickly to allow people in the queue to get in😐There was me looking at EVERY single thing......no touching allowed though
A great success was the cat food for 60p. Oz has ate 2 full sachets which is an unknown. However I also know if I bulk buy 60 boxes, that he wouldn't touch the stuff🤔
Indeed. We had posh fish pie with veg made the day before. It was posh cos it had prawns in😂Made special by a lovely parsley sauce for 20p and a delish trifle both picked up from the Company shop😊
TM - glad you had a good night, it is unusual for us to be eating in date food isn't it Just had a lovely morning walk. Only 5000 steps, but gets me half way to my daily target. Stopped half way through to complete a small Prolific. Off to clean the bathroom now.

Ooh trifle 😋. As it was date night did you just get 2 spoons. 🥰
Just catching up and lovely to see all the photos on the forum.
Mrs mac your tulips are beautiful❤️ and lovely to see tweets and Rosie.
I must get a wiggle on. I'm going to freshen up the hanging baskets today and replant a large trough we have at the front of the house.
It might be my imagination but just back from my morning walk and views seem so much clearer. Is it a drop in air pollution? We are very rural here so I wouldn't have thought there would be much of a difference. But I can see clearly for miles today🤗

Most of the stuff was IN DATE wasn't it?
do you have Microsoft teams at work elaine?
ive just found out you can change the background to where you are sitting. We have a " Skype" first thing in the morning and I might just put myself o a beach or up a mountain or something.

I think mr TS needs to do this to blur me out in the background when I’m still in my pjs 🤔

Bless her MKS. Glad she was able to have some sort of celebration. Not sure how I would have coped so close without the hugs. I’m missing my 2 so so much.
TM i wouldn't be ashamed you wanna see me little dollop of ice cream i had last night 🤣😂😋😋 This is complete syn free on SW as it's made with ff greek yoghurt and a handful of berries, i don't usually have a big pile like this but bought a new ice cream maker (very expensive!!) as my other one broke and use the same amount of yoghurt and this whips it better

We use Teams all of the time at work as it is much better than Skype when you have more people attending. We only have set backgrounds to choose from - think they have disabled us from adding our own backgrounds to stop us being unprofessional.
