Gutted that I missed a quiz last night😕Thanks to hippychick for posting😊 Keep them coming folks. We need lighthearted stuff as lots of people are struggling with reality😢
I had a full day in the garden yesterday and promptly fell asleep after tea. So here I am at silly o clock😂 I don't think I've had such a strenuous day in a while. Digging over vegetable patches is as good as any gym workout and it's free😊😊😊😊 I got only half the onion sets in but made lots of progress on other fronts. I brought a load of stuff up from the greenhouse as it didn't appear to be germinating and overnight in the warmth it's has burst into life😊
Today I'm putting in my Parsnip seeds and potting on all my cucumbers and pumpkins.
I've touched base with some of my elderly neighbours. One is struggling😕Such difficult times.
This afternoon we are having a family zoom. I'm wondering if I will have to wash my hair😂😂
Right the kettles going on......anyone up for a cuppa?😊
I got the fire started at 5pm, and we slow cooked an amazing chicken/lentil/rice concoction on it. We poured a cider, watched the sun go down, then the stars come out. It was such a mild evening, it felt like summer. We sat out until around 10pm and watched the embers fade.
Everything smells like woodsmoke this morning 🤣.
Today's plan is a long walk :-D.
We also have enough leftover from last night to do at least another two meals for the two of us!

Perfect timing TM, a coffee for me please.
Digging is such hard work! My onion sets are just starting to poke up above the soil, I planted them last weekend.
Don't bother washing your hair, just tie it back if you can ;-). I've actually been enjoying the excuse of not going to the office to turn semi-feral 🤣.
I've sown parsnip seeds for the first time down the allotment, I've heard they can take a month to germinate :-O.
Well I had to have an early night 8.45pm was shattered but not done anything more than normal
I will need to go to the shops today Thought the Schwartz packets in the cupboard were cinnamon for my porridge Noooooooooooooooooo They were pickling spices All six packets
I have and tried using own makes up it just does not work for me in porridge Its ok in baking though Breakfast is the best and most looked forward meal of my day
Ok TM you win Coffee and toast please Porridge had to be binned
We had a Zoom "work" meeting last week when a huffy lad threatened to leave the meeting OMG he is a director This week his attitude was abysmal again. I am not impressed with him but he has been given/taken back credit control cos I am not producing the same results as him OMG All of the customers(pubs)are closed Saved me the bother of telling him to disappear Only I am very fond of his Dad and Step mum or I would not have lasted this long
Facetimed the kids managed about 30 seconds each Better than nothing
Someone walking our estate told hubby his was the best garden in the area Would have yhought he had won Chelsea Flower Show
Very interesting reading at the end of the last thread about offset mortgages etc. We've never dared to do anything like that. For me, the biggest feeling of security in my life is knowing that the roof over my head is paid in full and can't be taken away. Not in any way a criticism of others having a different approach, just my attitude to risk I guess. The money that used to go on the mortgage payment now goes into our pensions.

Good morning all, glorious sunny day here again.
I envy you the shower you had last night Bubbs, I noticed yesterday the garden is starting to crack in places Might be due to the contrast between just how wet it was before and how dry it is now.
