I read earlier that its random act of kindness day... so I passed it on.
Last week whilst in T I wombled 2 5p petrol vouchers and used one today whilst filling up.
The second expires on 22nd so as I will have no need for it I gave it to the girl behind me in the queue.
The act of kindness cost me nothing and stemmed from finding the vouchers last week
Be kind.
I have tried that before and it wasn't well received - you would think I was trying to pass on the plague - some people are weird .
While others have appreciated it .

I agree, people are strange. I used to try and share freebies with all my neighbours. I got strange looks and only thanks from two of them. I did have someone approach me in the town car park last week saying he was homeless and wondered if I had change for a cup of tea. I said come with me and I will buy you one and a sandwich, he looked confused, so I kept walking LOL.
For the past week or so I've been leaving books in various places but then I wondered yesterday if I might be viewed as a litter dropper๐ฑ
On a similar theme, I know there's now a backlash in the media over the death of Caroline Flack and a plea for folk to be kind to one another to protect our mental health. I just wondered if anyone else grew up with the saying" if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Gossip was never tolerated in our house when I was growing up. I don't think it's tolerated in most workplaces either these days. Or maybe I'm just lucky.
Just had a quick skim through posts and thinking about the interest we are getting on our savings๐
I've just added up my prolific for the full year and I've made ยฃ245.00, so just over ยฃ20 a month. More than we are making on some of our savings๐
I also saw that ILTS had posted something upstairs so I'm off to check.......hang on till I get me slippers on๐i honestly think I'll have to take out those chicken goujons๐๐
I've just had a mooch upstairs and over the moon to see some new faces. well done zippy and Chrissyv for inviting over some new people. Wouldn't it be lovely if we got some of those lovely people from the ABC thread.....and some of the Nice People too.......and Zagโค๏ธ
Just an idea. Seeing as we are all spread out a bit over here ....upstairs and downstairs.......would it be a nice idea to have a party now and then so we can all be together for a few hours. I'll plan it. I have loads of napkins๐๐๐๐

Spooky, I've just added up mine too as it is a year today since I joined, ยฃ228.97 which I think is great for an pensioner who doesn't work and has had 10 weeks away and not looking!

Thanks again TM for the heads up on this one.
As for those blinking gougons!!!
I think it might have been silvercar who brought us pr0lific. I may need to rejoin with a different profile as I hardly seem to get any surveys these days. I wonder what age, gender and smoking history would get the most invites?
I have a secret weapon when it comes to savings interest - children's accounts - problem is they are starting to turn 16 this year so won't be nearly as lucrative - although in 2 more years I guess they will be start to turn 18 and thus be suitable for loads of RAFs....

I will never have the space to freeze them and I'll be perfectly honest this vegan/ veggie thing is growing on me๐๐๐ For the first time in a fortnight I feel I've got the measure of it but that's only with a weekend spent bloody meal planning and cooking๐๐ Plus I've had so much more energy these last couple of days but that could be down to anything I guess

Well if we find out who has made the most money this past year then we can steal their identity๐๐

Well done, pippo and TM. It's certainly very useful for topping up the ever decreasing interest that we are getting on any savings. It will be a year at Prolific for me on 27th Feb but I'm a bit embarrassed to mention the total I've managed for the year

I can supply some alcohol - definitely blackbirds, prosecco and hopefully some champagne if you wait until Wednesday.

I don't expect it would be cost effective to have more children to gain a bit of extra interest. ๐คฃ๐คฃ I had a feeling it was TM who first mentioned pr0lific as she said how interesting the surveys were. Whoever it was, thank you. I've made nowhere near as much as many of you as I took a long break from it last year but am very grateful for the extra money.

It's all extra pennies in the kitty๐All of these little things add up, the cashback, the glitches, the shoplifting......

I thought it was TM as well but could be wrong. Whoever it was, thank you so much as it's quite lucrative and always extremely interesting. I really like the variety in the studies and the fact it keeps the old brain cells alert and ticking over

I think it was me but I'm very happy to be wrong๐๐๐๐ as it's doesn't really matter as long as we all make a little bit. Did you get the memory one this morning....quite early...I missed it but it looked right up my street

yes I did that one, submissions show I completed it at 5.41am. Didn't realise I was up quite that early
Fairly simple test of memory. 10 sets of words shown for 2 secs per word, then at the end of each block of words you had 1 minute to type in as many as you remembered. A bit tricky as a lot of the words were the American spelling and I don't think you take this in as quickly because they look different.
