Good afternoon all, I have just changed to HSBC mainly for the bonus....but I have had endless trouble with logging in and setting up new payees because I am so non techie. There are so many password and codes and memorable info. to remember that I have been pulling my hair out. To register on the app you have to jump from the app to the website- backwards and forwards so it has been quite a challenge for an oldie like me. Having said that I think the majority on here would breeze through unlike myself. I have been on the phone today trying to set up a new payee, and it took so long they are very very kindly giving me compensation of £20, and really the trouble was caused by myself because when I play candy crush I alter the clock to get more lives and I had forgotten to reset it. So the amount of times I tried to set up the new payee with the clock being wrong resulted in me being locked out. Then I had to reset all the endless information they ask of you and my DH is completely fed up with listening to me talking to them. I’m not sure I would have done if I had known how much trouble I would cause myself but I will be better off to the tune of £195 at the end of it, and I did the euro transfer with no charge from them. So 9 1/2 out of 10 for them, 0/10 for me.
Rosie went to the vets yesterday for the first time since I adopted her It went well she sat waiting , Vet man said she was doing well and she weighed 8.5kg he let me have Nexgard Spectra Medium 7.5 - 15 kg (16 - 33 lbs) - 3 pack and wants to see her again in 3 months . So I was proud of my girl she travelled well there and back in the taxi . Got home and gave her a Nexgard and she just chewed it like it was a treat Hope she carry's on taking her medicine so easy bless her xx
Hi tweets and gorgeous Rosie, guessing the Nexgard is flea treatment and wondered how much you were charged for it as when I took Dolly I was charged £40 for 3 treatments of Advocate and I actually bought 12 treatments online from petdrugsonline for £44. so quite a lot less than the vet charged. I did have to get a prescription from the vet costing £15, but still a lot cheaper.
I've been pondering about the Co-op bank but it would take a bit of setting up. It needs £800 going in each month and 4 direct debits (I use little post office savings accounts) You need to log in once a month and get paperless bills. It has something called Everyday rewards which it seems you can have with any of their current accounts. You have to opt in during the application process. For this you get £4 per month plus up to a maximum of £1.50 extra for debit card spending each month you qualify, 5p per transaction so that's 30 transactions per month (so at least one usage per day) So £5.50 in total paid into your current account at the end of the next qualifying month- £66 per year which is better than the annual interest rate on some regular savers.
They have an Everyday extra current account which costs £15 per month but you get worldwide travel insurance from AXA, UK & European breakdown cover from RAC and mobile phone insurance from LSG and it will cover both you, your partner and dependent children under 22 - this actually looks like a very good package if you are in the first flush of youth and you have no pre-existing conditions
My main bank account is with the co-op, has been for nearly 50 years!! There are a few choices for your extra benefits, I do the 'traveller' and get 4 free lounge passes a year and I can take grumpy with me, if I wish, for £15. The travel insurance also includes spouse, even if it's not a joint account.
A friend is really fed up with her bank. Does anyone know offhand please the best one to switch to? I’m sorry to ask but it’s hard to search back on Tapatalk and I haven’t had the energy to fire up the PC yet.
We get on well with Nationwide ~£13 pm month account which covers all of us (DW and 3 DKs) for mobiles insurance (4 claims a year), worldwide travel insurance upto age 70 including independent travel, breakdown cover (full package), 5% interest on 2.5k etc. There are also free accounts. If we refer them then they and us get £100. We like it because they are keeping local branch open and are a mutual.

My Dear Grumpy is quite a 'technophobe!', and a bit hard of hearing and had a similar experience with HSBC/First Direct.
All I can say is that the customer Service guy had the patience of a saint!!
Actually I need to say more, the more you use it, the easier it becomes.

Just to say the 5% is only available for the first year I think
You can upload photos on here too if you use the TapaT app (you have to register for the app).
HTH

so a 3rd party
I am not leaving TapaT. It is not the same as a third party site when you are using the app, as it is integrated and just uses the picture button built in the app. I rarely include photos as I can't be bothered uploading elsewhere and copying the link here.
Fuzzgun - after I have descaled my kettle with the white vinegar I usually rinse out with cold water about 3 times neither me or oh have noticed any after taste. Missadventure - where do you buy your citric acid in bulk and how much is it please? Chrisv - sorry to here all your family problems - you are a rock to them all.
Think I will need to swop my santander bank account when they drop the rates but really unsure about this at the moment. Used to have a co-op bank account for all the rewards but dropped this when tesco stopped their dd facility. Really dont know how to play it as my santander is our main account and is the feeder for all my regular savings accounts so balance is usually higher than other bank accounts - tricky one even for an elite. The only bank account we have not had is HSBC as I have read on mse that they are very fussy and we are not high earners which I think they like.
...14 nights in Marmaris in 2nd half of April, AI in Lalila Bluee Hotel, flights from LGW with 15kg hold luggage and 10kg cabin luggage, return coach transfers - £392pp.
Hotel recently refurbished a few months ago too. Plus 10% back via ComSav so should work out just over £350pp. Temp should be 23C-25C latter half of April.
If it's like the last glitch then it will come in/out of stock so just a matter of keeping an eye on it. We're pantried up with chopped tomatoes so will pass on these.

Quite like this new nectar reduction offer, DD2 wanted some strawberries last night - £2.75 but automatically reduced at the till to £2. Useful for items you're buying anyway as no opt-in required
.......and also got my better than free carrot, banana and porridge pot
I mentioned something similar on the old thread but it got poo-poo'd…..
Morning ALL! just
At first I thought we were losing our nectar points offers and wasn’t sure if we would need to opt into these offers so not very keen but on second look could be good, especially if works on whoopsies!

She's a lovely girl tweets and sitting so nicely too❤️
I'm sure Poppy would approve of her becoming our new mascot😊😊😊
Thank you TM she was being nosy watching the other dogs ❤️
I think our Poppy would even though I still miss her.
I changed my userpic earlier on Facebook and got all upset because our Poppy was userpic but our Poppy staying bigger pic forgot what that's called lol

Of course you will miss Poppy tweets. It's still so raw😕 and very early days. I think you've been very brave taking on a new puppy while your emotions are all over the place.

Hopefully start offering 100 points on the hubbards sweetcorn
Morning all Everything seems much calmer this morning, but oh my goodness the crosswind when I was driving home on the M25 last night. I don't think I've ever gripped a steering wheel so tightly in my life. Hope everyone is safe and not too much damage sustained.
Good morning! Yes much calmer here today too and the sun is out Quite a few freebies in Sainsbobs again this week via GJ, including 2 x 1Litre Mighty Pea drinks which sound disgusting but are actually quite drinkable, as are the Botanic Lab cans.
Thank you TM she was being nosy watching the other dogs ❤️
